  1. One year in Madden franchise mode I drafted a 6'5'' 280 lb MLB at the bottom of the third round. The 21 year old had 87 speed, 97 acceleration, 77 strength, but only 56 agility and very low awareness. Because of his size and lack of agility, I thought he might be a better fit as a DE in a 4-3, or maybe as a pass rushing OLB in a 3-4. In the end I stuck with his original position, dropped his weight to 265, and added 21 agility (for a total of 77) before the start of his 3rd season. I had never really had a MLB this big OR this rangy. But my god the things this guy did for my defense. He was almost impossible to create a good offensive matchup against, especially in coverage. I think he averaged over 3 INTs and 10 PBUs per year outside of being a tackling monster for almost 15 seasons. Probably a top 5 CPU-generated player ever created during one of my franchise drafts. Tremaine immediately reminds me of this guy.
  2. That "game changer" could eventually be Oliver, or Edmunds, or if we are really lucky, Allen. Although I agree that as of right now, we don't really have an elite talent at a game changing position. White may be elite, but CB isn't really a game changing position unless you are Deion Sanders.
  3. Gotta start somewhere. I still believe things are looking up for the Bills. 10-6 is a real possibility this season if Allen keeps progressing.
  4. The little people tend to do that. I have a buddy who's 5'6'' with arms almost as big as my thighs. The dumbass always skips leg day though so he's not very proportionally built. Hence his nickname "Chicken Legs".
  5. It's ironic because there was a time where the kicking game was the only strength this team had.
  6. I like this Wade guy. I hope he makes the team.
  7. Gotta be the home team. Otherwise the Cowboys couldn't have their tradition of always wearing white uniforms at home.
  8. It's refreshing to see a guy really get into and appreciate the work these guys do in the trenches. He's having as much fun breaking down Nelson. I completely forgot he was lining up against Nelson. What a great first test.
  9. If McCoy has any semblance of a line to work with this year, he will be just fine. He's the type of back that really gets the most out of good run blocking at the point of attack. He's better in space than between the tackles, so if his line can do the basics he will have another 4-5 YPC year, even though I too expect some reduced amount of touches.
  10. The thing that puzzles me is, in the wake of all this (rightful) disdain of much of mainstream media, it's obvious that there is a large appetite for just this kind of reporting (i.e. just genuine news). If there is a market for facts without spin, why do so many outlets try to do the opposite and pander to a specific audience? Maybe the market for spin is bigger than I am giving it credit for.
  11. That's always what I felt like too. It's also worthy to note that both agencies (which generally just report facts with very little spin) are some of the most centrist and respected news agencies.
  12. This is why you want good depth at defensive back. Durability is often a concern, especially for corners (safeties seem to get injured less frequently). And the best part? We have good depth at DB. That's all on Beane folks. In addition, McD's defense doesn't rely on stud corners sitting on an island (although it's certainly nice to be able to lean on one at times with White), so Beane can acquire 3-4 decent guys rather than 1-2 studs without hurting the defense.
  13. +1. I've never heard that before.
  14. Wasn't Spiller a Ralph mandate? I kinda remember him giving a presser defending the selection, because at the time we had Lynch and Jackson and there was a lot of flak for the Spiller pick.
  15. Makes them less competitive by eating up more of the capped salary? Idk, trying to find a silver lining.
  16. Interesting poll results. I kinda expected the opposite. Also, I live in Bills country, about an hour north of Orchard Park.
  17. Gibbs notably won 3 Superbowls with 3 different starting quarterbacks in the span of 10 years.
  18. It's his speed/acceleration/etc. type stats that are boosting his overall rating.
  19. This was predicted years ago. It was just a matter of time. When front 7's get smaller but offensive lines stay the same size, this is what you get.
  20. Do you know how long McD and Beane are under contract for? Did they get 5 year plans?
  21. I like it. The style is a bit heavy, but I have enough of a love of history to dig it. I prefer more modern, clean, and sleek designs and style.
  22. He might be able to squeak out a deal closer to 40 million over 4 years with +25 guaranteed. The only issue is that (imo) it is risky to tie up significant amounts of guaranteed $$ in a RB because they get hit so often. I have no idea if RBs are the most statistically prone to injury (kinda feels like DBs are at the top and OL at the bottom), but they definitely take the most pounding.
