  1. I doubt we will ever know what really happened, but Whaley and the scouts certainly had a lot to do with what looks like a very successful draft. Now, who orchestrated the trading back, then the trade ups? No idea. You have to distinguish (I think) between the draft board and the draft day strategy of moving up or down. So, in conclusion, I have zero idea.

    Crazy...

The GM finally has a good draft and now he is gone...

  2.

I'm sorry, but I don't buy that....I've never admitted this openly but my life is about to change drastically so it won't really matter in about a month. But I work in a law enforcement "branch" in New York, and I can tell you I had one investigation where a vehicle was pulled over, the passenger bailed and ran, the driver stayed put and was arrested. Passenger was eventually caught, the car was searched and a loaded handgun was found under the passenger's seat. No one took responsibility as they both pointed to the other. Obviously, it couldn't belong to both of them, but one got 10 years in prison and one got 8 years in prison.....for the same gun....for the same crime. The law is not as clear cut as you think....furthermore, in NY at least the idea of constructive possession can be applied under a variety of circumstances, and if the gun was out in the open for the officer to observe, then Mr. Robinson knew the gun was in the car....to make my point one more time, I've had a number of narcotics investigations where it was known and proved a man and woman, usually boyfriend / girlfriend or husband / wife, were residing in a home together and the man was selling the drugs. The female never exited the house, and she was never recorded as making the transactions, but because it occurred out of the home, she was charged and convicted as well, because she knew it was occurring and was thought to be guilty, but not *as* guilty so she received Probation while he was sent to jail / prison, depending on the case.....it's happened quite a bit.

I said all of that to say, you're making assumptions that are both factually and legally inaccurate.

Right.. Did Cam bail and Run? No.. your comparing 2 entirely different situations..

Oh yeah not that bad he probably had no clue the guy had a stolen gun and drugs. No responsibility needed.

yep and its entirely possible he new his friend smoked but didn't think he had stuff on him.. Could I sneak drugs and a gun while your giving me a ride or anyone else for that matter? it was a poor judgment of friends that's all.

    gangbanger, no thanks

    Give it a rest...

  3. Would like Cam Robinson but McDermott like wouldn't select a guy with an off the field problem

I think you 2 don't have all the facts So I will enlighten you..

#1 Facts in the case show that rear passenger admitted to shoving the drugs and guns under the driver Side seat

#2 Both football players were drug tested and clean.

#3 In the article in the same paragraph it says..

"When approaching the vehicle, officers spotted a handgun on the lap of the passenger. A bag of marijuana was also observed on the driver's side floorboard. The stolen handgun was located under Robinson's seat."

IF the police officer actually saw the handgun on lap of passenger then game over.. the gun is in possession of passenger not the driver Cam Robinson.

the guilt was by association and nothing more.. all charges were dropped.

Some times in life stuff happens when were not in fault. I think this was the case.

  4. ok those fans are dumb..

#1 I don't think Mahomes is going to amount to anything

#2 they giving up there future #1 witch most teams wont do..

#3 they don't get that we did this to put ourselves in a position to get a better QB then they could of possibly gotten this year..

The top 4 QB next year will be better then the top 3 this year hands down and WHEN we have our franchise QB and there QB fails then we see how much they will be looking back at this trade when there GM is gone.

    • Haha (+1) 1
  5. Depends on what we have to give up. I might be inclined to spend less on Dion Dawkins in the hopes that he's the answer to our RT woes.

I think there is a decent gap in talent between the 2.

I want to move down again get more picks

And I think that's fair to say... But Cam Robinson is round 1 talent yes?

  6. The stupid part is not taking a stud like Foster at 27. It's not stupid to take a much less expensive replacement for the next 4-5 years vs overpaying Gilmore. I have zero issue with that. I don't see white as a difference maker and could have had a good DB in the 2nd round. Hated seeing a rookie GM like Lynch promptly move up for Foster. That about says it all.

And yet a team like the Seahawks Let him go and they needed LB's.

And you want to risk reports of possible shoulder issues?

    And the off field issues?

    no..

You're supposed to draft for the best talent, meaning Reuben Foster.

Time will tell if this was the right pick or not.

He was not best available due to other issues.

Yeah and Seattle gave him the pick. Yet SEA needs lbers. The things that make you go hmmmm when one of the better defenses in the league pass on a "stud" in a position of need.

    Exactly

I'm not trying to be difficult, but I legitimately couldn't follow this. Can you try a different approach?

Nope your being difficult.. I followed it fine.

  7. So my first thought was... Uhg... Loose Gilmore and pick up another CB.. Typical Dumb GM Sense. Then I started thinking... This is a Solid CB with Return abilities and has a high ceiling. It fills a need in a draft where we go need not BPA. A captain with 4 years experience witch is rare now a days and he is smart. He looks small but 5'11" isn't that bad. On top of it all we didn't reach for a QB in a bad QB class and got an extra first round pick next year in an excellent QB class.

In Hindsight should of we gotten Cam Robinson at Tackle or picked a QB out of this draft? Time will tell.. but lets face facts... Many of us wanted us to trade and we did..

We filled a need. I still think we should trade our Second round pick down to 15-20 in second round and pick up a fourth round pick.

This is roster building year via draft..

Next year is the year of the QB's... I am slowly getting excited about this.

  8. This is a good Group, I really Like James Connor out of that group being the best of bunch.

Looks like running back is a need now. So let's take a look at the large number of talented backs that will be available in the mid-to-late rounds.

Ordered by overall class ranking according to CBSSports NFL Draft team. The grade in parantheses after the ranking indicate the NFL.com rating. The players' programs that the Bills visited on Pro Day is indicated.

    196. (5.3) TJ Logan, RB, North Carolina, 5-9, 195, 4.37 - Pro Day
    203. (5.0) Elijah McGuire, RB, Lafayette, 5-10, 215, 4.53
    217. (5.4) Tarik Cohen, RB, NC A&T, 5-6, 180, 4.42
    225. (5.0) Aaron Jones, RB, UTEP, 5-9, 210, 4.56
    261. (4.9) De'Veon Smith, RB, Michigan, 5-11, 225, 4.85 - Pro Day
    279. (5.4) Joe Williams, RB, Utah, 5-11, 210, 4.41

A lot of these guys fit the bill for big running back that would compliment Shady. D'Onta Foreman and James Conner intrigue me the most.

  9. I think the key questions is do we bother? Is there a QB that will be available to us at any round that you want? My answer is no. We have a QB in Taylor.. Lets see what the kid can do under new coaching, different offensive unit, get him his WR on the first pick and see what we have in him.

In the First Round I think There will be our Pick in WR

In the Second Round I think it has to be Safety/CB

Normally Drafting is BPA but I don't think it is this year cause we have to many positions of need.

Any how this is my First post to these forums and would like to hear some thoughts on it before I start Posting Mock Draft among other things.
