  1. Don't let my name fool you as I actually moved to NC, but I think they would be foolish to take the camp out of Rochester.  It seemed like no matter what day I would go or no matter how the weather was when I was up there it was always a packed house and the Rochester fan base is as important as any to the Bills. It's three weeks Rochester fans got to enjoy their home team, would hate to see it taken away.

    you don't.

however your Eichel comment was down right strange.

I get that a lot from people with Eichel.  I guess I just don't see why all the love for him with how McDavid and Matthews have played.  We were awful last year, with all the hype behind him and the big contract, I would have thought he would have made everyone else around him so much better and we'd be a playoff team by now.  Again, not big on hockey hence the outside perspective.

  3. I am definitely more of a football fan then hockey, and I was talking to a friend of mine about the Sabres and because I root for them but don't know a ton about them, I asked him why was signing Eichel such a great move if they were the worst team in hockey last season.  He got somewhat defensive and started telling me all the moves the Sabres were making to be a great franchise in the future.  He made me more optimistic, especially with this defensemen they are supposed to draft whose name I won't try to spell.

So it got me thinking about the Bills, who outsiders will say lucked into the playoffs last year and most aren't high on this year.  What do you tell an outsider about the Bills to make them "Billieve" we are heading in the right direction? I'm sure we all get defensive about our Bills, how do you get others to "trust the process" as well???

I look forward to reading what you guys say

What about the circumstance where the coaching staff feel he is ready to start and gives us the best chance to win?

that's not what you wrote, you said it's the first year in a long time that going into the season you want them to win as many games as possible (16?, 19?)- I always want them to win as many games as possible.

because the sabres have done so well losing after being eliminated from the playoffs, the bills should do the same thing.

I guess then I would have to "trust the process," I just want to know for sure he is mentally ready for the game and we don't "ruin" him

Yeah but a lot of people would argue the way any QB develops is by PLAYING.

The whole "develop while watching" thing is kind of a myth in my opinion.

And that may be the case, but based on what others have said, he needs time to develop into an NFL qb, I'd prefer they waited and not kill his confidence with some tough outings.  If the coaching staff believes he is ready, so be it

The moment we are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, I want to see them lose every game.  I've felt the same way every year and no different this year.

Every year they are mathematically eliminated I try to root for them to lose but it never works for me and I find myself getting into the game and upset if they lose.

Based on most things I have read and I don't pretend to know how to evaluate QB's other then knowing guys like Aaron Rodgers are good, what I want is to not see Josh Allen on the field under any circumstance.  I want him to be developed "properly" so he can be molded into the franchise QB we all want him to be

IMO, if you are going to do this, you can't have guys who played in playoff games for the bills in the 90's like Moulds and Pat Williams.

And maybe not include players who played on last years team as well.  But nice write up, fond memories of many of those players
