Wide open throw, but what Nate brings is the ability to diagnose. He knew where he was going the entire way.

Ok...not bad, not bad at all.

OPI is such a question mark. I have no idea why they call it sometimes and sometimes why the don’t.
Its like a cop maybe, maybe won’t give you a speeding ticket going 10 mph over. No rhyme or reason.

Allen aside, who looked great, can we talk about our defense? Second game in a row they looked shaky.
Secondary depth is very worrying, if Vonte goes down we are so screwed. Also I still can't believe we let Darius go but gave all that money to a journeyman DT. If we were going to dish out big contracts why not bring in a NFL quality Linebacker. We arguably have the worst LB's in the NFL right now.
Defense needs to step it up, but they calmed down after that first drive.
Somebody else stated that they may may have been taken back by the aggressiveness that Cleveland came out with in a preseason game. Not an excuse by any means, but they tightened up after.

My preference:
Allen starter / AJ vet backup
Peterman is a walking interception. He can read and diagnose, but doesn’t have the arm strength to execute what he sees.

AJ and Nate out here like “Take it, Josh, it’s yours”

Another positive of Allen starting.... At least Bodine isn’t tied to his hip so maybe we can get Groy starting at C.

These Browns announcers aren’t so cocky anymore...

The funny thing is, if McCarron threw one more pass and it was a 10yard completion, he has the same identical stats as Taylor.....not to mention McCarron threw a real nice ball on the first play.
AJ looked exactly like Tyrod minus a run game. Both are “game managers” aka underwhelming while forcing the defense and run game to carry the team.

Josh Allen is just a monster back there size wise. He can stand in, see over the line and his arm is ridiculous.
Those attributes alone open up everything as teams can’t just try to swallow him up with pressure or sell out on the run.

We do need to see him with the starting skill players - McCoy, KB, Clay. Although he's probably better off with the backup O line ...
... also seems to have some rapport with Streeter.
Hopefully he just develops chemistry with whoever he’s taking reps with.
This week, Streater. Last week was Ray-Ray.

That punt return and subsequent fumble by Cadet has to have solidified Murphy as the #3 RB and you know he’s gunning for Ivory’s spot.

Welcome to the active roster Murphy!!!

in all fairness the OL was blowing chunks.
Josh Allen had about .5 seconds to make that sideline throw for a first down and stood in and slinged it.

We’ll have to deal with the occasional rocket launched grenade at RBs coming out of the backfield, but this dude looks LEGIT

Nice job by Edmunds on that play.

I leterally don’t recall reading about him making a single a play during camp. He certainly hasn’t made any plays in the preseason games so far.
I have no clue if he’s doing what he should be, but his job isn’t to make plays, it’s to occupy linemen to free up others to do so.

Most of it is 4 man rush though. Our guys are just getting killed in their 1 v 1 battles.
Every single fan knows Teller/Groy are better than Vlad/Bodine.
Literally no clue why the staff thinks this should even be a battle.

I know AJ is catching a tough break from those around him tonight, but he doesn’t look very nimble or decisive out there.

Ok, we’ve established Shady can still play. Now take him out.

At least the defense decided to man up after that ridiculous opening drive.

Daboll seems to like TE’s.. We could keep 4, but who do we cut/PS? We seem to have 5 solid guys at that position.
