Best draft in years.
How would anyone know that yet...and remember the entire scouting team responsible for the 'best draft in years'...was just fired.

These Boards always crack me up! Seymour was a mid round pick last year and many were/are picking him to replace a 'shut down' corner. Lawson and Ragland were both highly sought after and everyone has pretty much ignored them.
Both of those guys better produce big time!!

Totally agree. Right now, I'm not optimistic. I just can't invest in this team emotionally any more. It's too painful. I'd like them to do well -- and I certainly wouldn't root against them -- but I don't have a shred of hope that they will do any better this time around than they've been doing for the last decade ...

In general...Everyone on here is a Bills fan.
The frustration and fun comes from wanting to be in control of something that we're simply not in control of. Giving an opinion that is counter to what the people in control are doing doesn't make you a non fan. This is a chat room. Chat away people!

I was thinking the same thing while watching a bit of the Penguins game last night. Buffalo sports has really taken a dump! So many other teams retool reload and get right back to the business of WINNING! I really shouldn't be this darn hard.

Everyone's expertise on the Draft Class always cracks me up! Drafting is far from a science and the full time professionals at it are far, far from accurate in their assessments of the future NFL skill sets of these kids.
What I do know is that all 32 Teams need to get starting Quarterbacks from SOMEWHERE!! And at the rate that 1st Rounders appear to be flopping there are going to be some teams running a permanent Wild Cat! 😉

True story
My son in law participated in the Jim Kelly QB Camp when he was in high school. He went on to play WR in college from out in Southern California.
When I mentioned to him that the Bills were toying with Chad Kelly as a late round pick he said...."that kid was in my group at the QB Camp and I can tell you he's a $&@! bag"
I couldn't stop laughing!

I come at from the opposite side. I think other teams are looking to move UP. The Bills need to answer the phone when it rings...because it's going to ring for sure!

I think your strategy makes a lot sense!
It appears everyone is coming to the same conclusion that there just isn't a single player that the Bills HAVE TO have tonight...but that isn't true for other teams around the league. I'm pretty certain one of those Teams is going to desperately want a player at #10. Take advantage of the opportunity, swap the pick, and acquire another one in the process.
Get 'er done!

The Buffalo Bills are a privately owned company. What the Owners of that company do is not really any of my business... but if I had bought a football team that hasn't been to the playoffs in a decade and a half I'm pretty sure I'd be watching the inner workings of the company pretty closely! Wouldn't you?

I'm convinced that the worst thing the Bills can do is take a WR in Round One. Considering the Sammy pick(s) this is just way too much invested in a single roster spot. Unlike offensive linemen, wide outs don't play as a unit. They compete with each other for a limited number of pass receptions. Every pass thrown to Sammy is going to be a pass NOT thrown to Corey Davis and vice versa.
Just say no! Look for a wide out in Round 2 or 3.

One thing I have noticed in watching the pressers with the Draft Class, Coach and GM is these people are all very well organized, professional and well spoken.
I'm so happy to be done with Coach Clown and a few of our recent players who could barely even put a simple sentence together!
