How would you know if you don't even know what they are?
I'll say this, you (and others) may not appreciate my consistent posting about Taylor, but when I have a conversation with someone, I'll actually read everything they say and click on links if there are any before I counter any of their arguments. This was probably just a momentary lapse for you, but it's not a good look.
I'm a fan of TT too but he is who he is. Lets not go too far. Build a team around him and play ball. Been saying that for almost 3 years now.

First of all arm strength is not adequately measured by mph at combine. There are endless examples of that. In 2012 Cousins had 4 mph higher than Russell Wilson. Cousins has an average arm at best. Wilson has a cannon.
One year Mike Glennon had the worst. One of the only things he has is a strong arm.
Dalton and Cam Newton tied one year. That's not even close.
Second, while Taylor had a 50, Peterson had a 49.

Those numbers were updated by ourlads. They have the true numbers in the player profile. People judge cannon by QB's they like and weak to those they don't. Cousins has a very strong arm, probably the same as Wilson and he probably throws a better deep ball than Wilson. Glennon does have a weak arm. A weak arm and he can't read defenses. And MPH one of many measurements used to determine if a QB can get the ball to a set place in the shortest amount of time.
whhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!
Dude, you can see very easily that Peterman's passes lack the velocity Taylor's passes have.
I don't see that at all. People are judging it based on reports. When I watched him his arm was stronger than Tyrod on out routes and through tight windows over the middle.
-
I think effective NFL QBs have to be smart and process information quickly. To me that means more than having a huge arm that can throw a ball 60 yards in the air. The limited time I saw Peterman I think he has that kind of processing ability.
Could be wrong of course. And I'd be delighted if TT keeps upping his play. But just my opinion.
I never got the arm strength thing with Peterman. He actually has a stronger arm than Taylor. At least he did during the combine. Tyrod had a 50 MPH arm and Peterman a 53.

He's been a PRO for how long? You're still talking about his ceiling? This Tyrod is as good as he's ever going to get. Unless he gets help from a super-natural wideout like Sammy. Guess what we don't got Sammy. Tyrod maximized.
He's only got about 37 starts. He was never a natural high draft pick QB. 37 starts is like his infancy. What he's proven is he can play QB in the NFL. He's never going to be the best QB in the league but we know that. What he is is a good player who needs a team around him.
-
The problem with Tyrod is his ceiling is pretty low. The good thing about Tyrod is his floor is pretty high.
I don't think he's the type you build a team around. He's the type you keep around for as long as you can until you find your franchise QB.
PFF can say what they want about him, but Tyrod has never shown that he can be a powerhouse QB. Game Manager? Yes. Solid starter? Sometimes.
When was he supposed to be a powerhouse QB? Under Rex? Taylor is what he is sure, but he is no different than Wilson out in Seattle. Build him a monster roster and he can win a ton of games, as long as he don't forget to run with the football about 10 times per game.
-
nobody is under center 80% of the time. Tyrod does however throw it 80% of the time from the shotgun.
Opps I mean he was in Shotgun 80% of the time. I was having problems posting and my font is off. Thanks, I'll correct it.
-
He deserves very significant credit - for McDermott and Beane being here!
And all of our playmakers this season. If it's TT or Shady or Clay or Hughes or whoever. It's still his roster. And if TT wins anything meaningful it's will partially be because Whaley signed him.
-
Don't fool yourself, they are still running the WCO, Shanahan style. Only changes are to the blocking scheme. They went from zone to man with the Oline. They go back and forth from Zone to man on the Oline. The routes are still WCO. The routes are the same. The QB can play under center, pistol or shotgun. Even Peyton was in shotgun something like 80% of the time when Dennison was his OC.
-
Selling yourself to your employer begins day 1. If he had impressed enough from the onset this would have never have been an issue.
That's how things work.
Whaley's problem is/was he was never the main guy. He was always surrounded by those who hired him and he was always grateful to them.
-
They're running the same WCO run in GB, KC, Phily and Rams. It calls for deep passes, shotgun, pistol and power running game.
-
He should be the HC in Indy anyway. Sad that their HC had cancer and lets hope he's fine, but he should be fired ASAP.
-
Whaley's issue was never talent scouting - he's a good scout (except, arguably, at QB). His issue is that he couldn't rise above talent scouting to team-building. THIS IS NOT DISPUTABLE LET'S MOVE ON.
Problem is team building is on the HC.

From what I heard is, Glenn is not on the Block, this was a Seattle phone call asking about what it would take. Talks didn't go anywhere because conversation said it would start with a 1st plus.
Yeah they asked about a couple tackles. Not just Glenn.
-
Glenn "haters"? Where are they?
I'd be shocked if any of them actually live in Buffalo.
-
Never looked like a LT to me.
-
Keep in mind most of these Glenn haters wanted Jason Peters traded too.
-
People forget he's basically a rookie NFL defensive End. He's never player 4-3 end in his career, college or pros. Coaching staff has already said he needs work as a pass rusher but that it's coming to him.
-
Of all the repeated takes on this board, this is up there as one of the dumbest.
Who cares that he was a backup linebacker for a few years in the NFL? He's spent nearly a quarter of a century immersed in the Shanahan offensive system and is an accomplished NFL offensive coordinator.
What'd you mean by "accomplished?" I'm not against the guy but I wouldn't call him accomplished. He's been a good understudy but never the main actor. This may be the first time in his career he's actually building the offense during the week.
-
This is the slow reaction that has been a fatal flaw for Tyrod. He needs to make a split decision to pass to Logan Thomas immediately and he hesitates, which costs them four points.
Clearly seems like Logan Thomas did not turn up field as expected. Taylor seems to hold it wanting Logan Thomas to turn up field when he doesn't Taylor waves him up there. I don't see this a TT hesitating. I see it as TT waiting for Logan Thomas to realize this should be a TD.
-
I like Nick Chubb and Royce Freeman in the 2nd round. Sony Michel and Akrum Wadley in the 3rd.
-
If they're going to run the offense they want to run I could see them replacing Shady for a power, one cut, between the tackles type back.
-
Youre just burying your head in the sand at this point.
Find a mirror.

He was hired after the draft. He traded some guys to add picks for next year. What did you reasonably expect for him to get accomplished before the season started?
This still doesn't answer what has he done for the 2017 Buffalo Bills. They're some good excuses I agree, but none answer the question.

Mcdermott is trying to establish a ceryain level of expectation. Production is secondary. Doing your best is more important. Mcdermott doesnt care about productivity as much as he cares about guys maximizing their potential. A philosophy I happen to agree with. Its why Watkins is gone who interestingly enough did nothing this weekend. As Bill Parcells once said. I want guys who will do the right thing MOST of time. Translation I dont want a guy whose gonna run for 200 yards and fumble it four times on the goal line.
I disagree on Watkins. Watkins is gone because he takes away from team first mentality McD wants to instill. Watkins worries about his numbers. Marcel played NT for Rex after have good sack #'s with Jim Shorts. Marcel's only issue as far as I can tell is he likes weed. If he's not under suspension or late or taking away from the team in that way, play him.
2018 draft would you be upset if

What about that guard from Notre Dame? I think he'd be a good pick for the Bills. Or that defensive tackle from Florida State.
