  1. 1. Trench Battles - Both the OLine and DLine were beat up and had their lunch money taken away

    2. Turnovers

    3. Poor coaching adjustments - both offense and defense

    4. Poor tackling on defense

    5. Tyrod Taylor's fatal flaws (needs too much time to find receivers, won't take chances/throw the receiver open, refuses to throw the ball away)

    6. Shady's injury / no quality backup (Tubby Tolbert stinks)

Tyrod ain't make them bench Miller.

  2. That's pretty broad and sloppy.

I can't blame a coach for not wanting his highest paid player being a negative influence on younger guys. See Mario Williams.

How do you think guys flock towards 100 million dollar men? I'm sure they have all the coolest cars, houses, etc. They have what the young guys want...

Folks often ignore the human aspect of all this. The guy got suspended multiple times for substance abuse, got fat, rode a bike, got fat again, constant muscle pulls, missing flights etc. This is the highest paid guy on the team. A soft spoken, detached, slug.

Short term it opens up a hole in the roster but long term it makes a ton of sense. They are trying to build a winning program not appease a 350 pound man child with no self discipline.

Who said "can't win with em"

I never said I disagree with what they did. I said I understand why, but it was a bad move. I said that the day he was traded, in a thread here. Marcell is going to be standoffish. Life has been hard for him. He's from the ghetto. Tons of adversity in his life. BUT the Bills need him ON THE FIELD, more then they need him off the team. At least IMO. Players knew he wasn't going to be her long term. The writing was on the wall. Players were invested in him. They knew his background. Watch the Kyle interview. They knew what he was. Chemistry is important. And despite what people feel, Marcell is still a top 3 NT in football.

Kyle may have had a bad game, he didn't stand out just watching live, but for the year he has been good.

Except in the run game. He's never been good in the run game. He's usually out of place, up field. Great player. Better person. Not a NT like Marcell.

  3. The game was fixed.

How w else do you explain that cluster bleep

They ran a "We are a team" concept. Then they traded Marcell and added a savior receiver from the outside. You can't claim team and love and my guys and add a talent like KB. Chemistry changed.

  4. They obviously didn't want him here collecting checks and influencing guys. Had a chance to move him and took it. In the short term does it hurt the DT depth, obviously.

I think it was more he wasn't a kiss ass to the coach. I like McDermott but he runs a cult of personality club. Marcell is never going to be a guy who trusts you. He's from the ghetto. Marcell is a prove it to me why I should trust you, guy. He's not going to take into a cult style from the HC until he proves he's worth trusting. I know many kids like him. They will be standoffish the entire time you know them. Then when they trust you, they will die for you. Literally.

  5. You can cite the absence of Dareus but doing so without acknowledging that Dareus contract which was terrible, got moved. Who is to say that MD wouldn't further injure his reputation and turn that contract from terrible to unmovable.

There was a risk keeping him on the roster, not just dealing with him in the locker room.

They had an out year in 2019.

  6. If you think he was good every game you're simply using wishful retrograde thinking. He wasn't.

You are judging him against unrealistic standards. In this defense the DT is not supposed to have 10 sacks. Marcell was playing the same role as Star. Star has 10 sacks in his entire career. Marcell was never going to be what he was in this defense. This is not the same defense he was in with Jim Schwartz.

  7.

His last two games were good. Another big test coming in week 10 against the Saints' run game with Ingram and Kamara.

He was good in every game. People don't understand, if you have to double Marcell it makes the other defensive linemen more effective. If you can man black our defensive line you can get an offensive linemen into the second level.

  8. I don't think any serious fan - and certainly not Bills management - thought that Cedric Thornton would be the equal of Dareus. Not even the equal of an unmotivated Dareus. They've depleted the D line with 2018-19 in mind. I think that was wise since I think this is a very mediocre team that was more than a little lucky to be sitting at 5-2 (4-2 when Dareus was traded), and that with or without Dareus it still needs a good measure of luck to sneak into the playoffs. But that's not the same thing as saying that somehow they thought a 29 year old journeyman could provide the level of play that Dareus did.

I disagree. I think they thought they could win with Thornton. I think they believed the hype about the "team." It's clear they believe losing Marcell wouldn't effect the defense.

  9.

    NOT !!

They had proven that he wasn't a integral part of the D before they let him go !!

He may have had little if any benefit especially the way he was playing before the trade ...

This is not true. Marcell was good on run downs, even if he didn't make the tackle. This is the same crap they sold when they traded Jason Peters.

  10. Lynch has been doing nothing for them all year but be an on field cheerleader. The raiders run game averages 7 less yards a game then the Jets which is about 60 less yards total, but the Jets attempt to run more. The Dareus less Bills had no problem last week without him.

Dareus also had only averaged to be on the field for about 1/3 of the defences total snaps this season. He was not the immovable force this year that everyone remembers from his first few years.

    Another TBD myth

Games left will tell the tale. We'll see. Also, it doesn't matter if a team is dead last in rushing. This team without Marcell in there on run downs will not be able to stop the run.

  11.

I don't think this is true at all

Our LBs were a big problem and is what is being exposed

Think what you want. When Marcell don't play, we don't stop the run. It's been that way since he's been here. Last week the raiders were playing their 3rd and 4th string back. If they had marshawn he would have run for 200 yards.

I don't think this is true at all

Our LBs were a big problem and is what is being exposed

All players get expose if you can't stop the run.

  12. If you don't get middle pressure from Marcell the QB can step up in the pocket. Bills fans continue to get screwed into believe this bullcrap about players. We can lose Jason Peters because we have Karl Malone's son. This is the same crap. We can lose Marcel we have Cedric Thornton. Same **** different coach/front office.

  13. Only game that scares me is at KC. Still have nightmares of playing at KC from 1993!!

I also dont think the D matches up well with brees or brady.

Other than those games (KC,NE, and NO), I think we can win the rest.

Don't underestimate how hard they will play for McD against his mentor. I have them losing too, but I think they will play their best football against KC.
