I like to believe coaches can get better too.
Decision making can also improve with experience.
If Mcdermott is the hard worker we all think he is, i dont see why he cant be better.

Hes very elusive and strong enough to break tackles.
If he had zero issues with fumbles and you put him behind a line that has any ability to run block. I see a good starter.

Niners defense plays hard. They have what I think is a top 4 rushing attack.
We travel to the west coast. They just took care of the Rams.
This is not a free game by any means.

Finding a way to win denotes the team was outplayed most of the game, losing for much of it and then somehow pulled it out in the last minute.
This was not even close to that game. People really need to get some perspective on what the hell they are talking about.
Ok so this week was "finding a way to put a team that should have lost by 25+ back into a one score game in the 4th quarter"

I am glad we are winning.
I honestly didnt see this team being this good offensively.
Very happy to see Josh really take over this team and perform.
Finding a way to win is a good thing.
But we shouldnt be finding a way to win every week. There are games we should just be outright winning at this point.
So yeah, if we want to be a real contender we need to shape up towards the ends of these games and close opponents out.

Shoulda won by 20+
Really poor showing in the 4th. Gave them every chance to come back and win that game.
As long as the team learns from this and gets better we can move forward.
It just seems like this is the same story every week, too many miscues at the wrong time.
You cannot win a playoff game like that.

Nice to have a deep line to be able to make it work...but these guys are all on similar levels.
We need to get some clear cut good/great line in the near future.

We need better than solid linemen tbh.
Especially if we want to win a superbowl.

I dont think hes underrated.
I think hes a solid player that did a couple of things for some people to be more down on him than they should have.
Then only to realize his value when we had a 3rd and 4th stringer starting at CB this year.

To me there are still plenty of teams willing to take a shot on Darnold.
3rd pick overall in a train wreck of a situation.
There are coaches out there with holes at QB and believe in their coaching ability.
Only way i see hes a Bill is if he has failed on his next opportunity. Maybe 3-4 years down the road.

This year seems a little different when you speak of top tier teams. I dont see any ELITE teams this year. I see a couple of REALLY GOOD/GREAT teams, and the rest almost as good.
When i think of the top 4-5 teams. I can easily see them being beaten by the next tier of teams. Practically anyone with a winning record.
I think the league has become very competitive where the "good teams" are just behind the "great teams".
We have only seen a couple of blowouts between two good/great teams this year.

When they say they want to work on the run game as a priority...
It just means they want to get more out of the 10 times they run.
If they wantto continue winning games Josh has to continue throwing and the defense needs to be able to force more stops.

I like blaming the refs as much as the next guy...but I really didnt feel like this was one of those games.

I thought we were going to get worked with the covid inactives.
We played much better than I thought. Good to see the defense get to the QB for the most part.
Offensively Josh was a little off, but he still did some great things. Including getting the lead back with 37 seconds to go.
