Yeah, but at least it's better than what a bunch of cities across the country are doing......emulating the movie "The Purge" on a daily basis.

Please, like we're going to be lucky enough to end up with President Camacho.

Getting a little close to PPP territory now. I'm not going there.

The sky is crying, look at the tears roll down the street
I'm waiting in tears looking for my baby, and I wonder, "Where can she be?"

  3. Throughout the night
    When there's no direct light
And a thin veil of clouds
Keeps the stars out of sight
    I can smell the colors
    Outside on my lawn
    The moist green organic
    That my feet tread upon

The thing is I ain't getting any younger and all I want in this life is to see my Buffalo BIlls hoist the Lombardi trophy once before I die. Without a Super Bowl championship it all means nothing.

I know a hard-core Bills fan who felt that way. He recently discovered that he may only have a year or two left in this world, and he suddenly realized how little a Bills SB win meant to him in the larger scheme. When he says, "Life's too short to obsess over sports," he means it literally. All he wants in this life is to ensure that his family is secure and he leaves a personal legacy.

    Perspective, my friends.

Yeah. We should just be happy with mediocrity and being perpetual losers.

It's been years since the words "mediocrity" and "Bills" have been uttered in the same sentence, and Josh's record as a starter is 63-30. When wins outnumber losses by more than 2:1, I'd hardly call that team a "perpetual loser."

  6. There are two kinds of fans: those who watch for entertainment and those whose identities are so wrapped up in the success of their local sports team(s) that they can't simply enjoy the ride.

I'm the former, but that doesn't mean I don't care about a SB or that I'm not thoroughly bummed when they lose - especially in the playoffs. It just means that I can't control those things. Win or lose, my contribution was sitting on the couch watching the game, so I don't let the outcome affect my life or my self-esteem.

The time has come to be gone

    It's time to ramble on

  8. In my mind, I'm gone to Carolina
    Can't you see the sunshine?
Can't you just feel the moonshine?
Ain't it just like a friend of mine to hit me from behind
When I'm gone to Carolina in my mind?

My wife (who's not Italian) and I were at a family gathering and we ran into a Tony whom I hadn't seen in years. Before I said hi, she said, "Tony, right?" I asked how she knew and she said, "In your family, I figure if I call someone Tony or Joe, I have a pretty good chance of being right."
