  1. The biggest problem with the prequels I had was that Darth Maul went out like a b****. It's made even more funny in the third episode when Obi-Wan advises Anakin to not jump because he (Obi-Wan) has "the high ground", and I'm like "that didn't matter for you in the first episode."

But Maul would have been a great villain to have for all the prequels.

  2. Not really. The NHL has become a really bad product, like the NFL. It's over officiatied (and badly done at that), player suspensions are inconsistent and there's not a lot of scoring.

It's just too frustrating to watch and with the awful season the Sabres had, I just can't care enough at the moment.

  3. I'm psyched for the Sox this season, especially because Papi is gone. The East is going to be tough.

As much as I dislike the Sox I always loved Big Papi. Real class act and a great player. He would have hit so many more homers playing in Yankee Stadium with that short right field porch. The game will miss him.

  4. Bumgarner and Posey vs the world. Let's go g-men.

Need Brandon Belt to make a step forward and bang out 40 hrs like he should be able to.

I'm a Dodgers fan. Hope this is the year pitching can hold up in the postseason.

  5. I'm just busting your chops a little. No animosity involved. I can respect fans being leery of a pick that may not be able to contribute early on. But this kid is a rare talent. Think Ed Reed with better range. As impossible as that is to conceive.

Haha and there was no offense taken. That's absolutely something we need. I guess 4-6 months isn't too bad (considering Lawson and Ragland) and that puts him back either right around the start of training camp or one month into the regular season.

  6. I love how pessimism gets defined/defended as "realist" when people have a take like this.

Sure, it may be in the back of our minds as fans but I don't foresee the Bills going anywhere, near future or further down the road. The Raiders pretty much flat out refused to cooperate with local government in Oakland.

And does anyone really think the NFL and Toronto want a team up there? Did you see any of the Toronto Series games? There'd be a smidge of Bills fans and opposing team fans and then the rest was filled in by people who just wanted to take in an NFL game. The crowd reactions weren't there, people looked bored. Now, granted, the Bills didn't always provide the best games up there but if Toronto is as starved for an NFL team as you think they are, the people there would've been a little more into it. The poor crowd responses were one of the main reasons they discontinued the whole thing.

Yeah I completely agree with this. In Oakland, the Raiders were always playing a poker game with the Athletics and local government. The Raiders didn't want to split the coliseum property and revenues evenly with the A's if they were to both get new stadiums. With the Raiders moving, I think it's more likely the A's get a new stadium in Oakland now. The Bills obviously don't have this problem.

  7. You mean like Rochester and Toronto?

The Bills have over 9 million people within 2 hours drive. It's not just Buffalo. If you compared regional population the Bills are one of the larger NFL markets.

100% correct. They get a decent number of fans from Syracuse/CNY and the Jamestown/Erie,Pa region too. The only time the Bills don't draw is late in December when they're long out of the playoffs.

If they move anywhere, it would be closer to downtown Buffalo given Pegula's other investments there.

  8.

My wife and I we're hooked to that as well. Solid show. I feel like the early to mid seasons we're great. Didn't love the show as much in season 6 or 7. Maybe I just got bored with it, I'm not sure.

Saul and then Gus later on are awesome supporting characters that really help fuel that show, IMO.

Not to mention Saul's lackey squad. Huell never failed to crack me up. I can't wait until he and Bill Burr show up on Better Call Saul.

Gus is set to show up this season on Better Call Saul too!

If you rearrange the first letter of all the episode titles of the second season, it reads FRINGSBACK. Plus what happens in the finale.

  9. I know this isn't a "show" (I can't find the "What to watch" thread) but Dave Chappelle's new stand up on Netflix is hilarious. The four times he meets O.J. had me grabbing my abdomen. There are two hour long episodes of his routine so it's a quick watch.
