Looks awesome. As much as I liked The Force Awakens, it was too similar to A New Hope for me. I actually prefer Rogue One to TFA. Last Jedi looks like it has the potential to be one of the best ones yet.

Not really. The NHL has become a really bad product, like the NFL. It's over officiatied (and badly done at that), player suspensions are inconsistent and there's not a lot of scoring.
It's just too frustrating to watch and with the awful season the Sabres had, I just can't care enough at the moment.

Braves are doing a full rebuild. But their prospect pool is stacked and Swanson is getting his feet wet this year.
-
Great game in Boston tonight. Sandy Leone with a 3R homer in the 12th to win 3-0 over Pittsburgh.
-
Dodgers have such a good young lineup. Seager has a 3 run homer, Pederson a grand slam & 5 RBIs and Turner with three hits.
-
Giants bullpen costs them again.

I'm psyched for the Sox this season, especially because Papi is gone. The East is going to be tough.
As much as I dislike the Sox I always loved Big Papi. Real class act and a great player. He would have hit so many more homers playing in Yankee Stadium with that short right field porch. The game will miss him.

Bumgarner and Posey vs the world. Let's go g-men.
Need Brandon Belt to make a step forward and bang out 40 hrs like he should be able to.
I'm a Dodgers fan. Hope this is the year pitching can hold up in the postseason.

It's opening day and there's no baseball thread?
(Mods, if there is one, feel free to delete this thread and bump that one)

Is this the "Just give it to 'em" game?
Yeah where Wade pulled the team off the field and Vinatieri ran in the PAT for 2.

I'm more of a "let it be in the past" kind of guy on this one. He is one of the greatest players in Bills history, but I wouldn't say THE greatest. That's Bruce Smith.

I'm just busting your chops a little. No animosity involved. I can respect fans being leery of a pick that may not be able to contribute early on. But this kid is a rare talent. Think Ed Reed with better range. As impossible as that is to conceive.
Haha and there was no offense taken. That's absolutely something we need. I guess 4-6 months isn't too bad (considering Lawson and Ragland) and that puts him back either right around the start of training camp or one month into the regular season.

And...there it is!
Hey, it's a concern some fans have. I'd be fine with drafting Hooker, it's just will these surgeries hamper him now and beyond? Who knows how his rookie year will go.
The hope obviously is these are just minor bumps in the road and he'll reach his full potential.
-
Adams is a top 5 pick and will not be there at 10
Oh absolutely. I was only saying I liked Adams better than Hooker. Now, would you take Hooker at 10 or trade down to 15-20 for Peppers?
Just to keep it to safeties.
-
His injuries are a big part of why I'd choose Adams over him. Do we want Whaley to draft high on more damaged goods?
-
I sense a smokescreen. I'm starting to have a feeling it'll be Williams or Davis if they don't trade back- which is what I think they should do- because looking at the roster, I don't see a #2 WR in there. Not to mention this is a draft with a deep DB pool.

I love how pessimism gets defined/defended as "realist" when people have a take like this.
Sure, it may be in the back of our minds as fans but I don't foresee the Bills going anywhere, near future or further down the road. The Raiders pretty much flat out refused to cooperate with local government in Oakland.
And does anyone really think the NFL and Toronto want a team up there? Did you see any of the Toronto Series games? There'd be a smidge of Bills fans and opposing team fans and then the rest was filled in by people who just wanted to take in an NFL game. The crowd reactions weren't there, people looked bored. Now, granted, the Bills didn't always provide the best games up there but if Toronto is as starved for an NFL team as you think they are, the people there would've been a little more into it. The poor crowd responses were one of the main reasons they discontinued the whole thing.
Yeah I completely agree with this. In Oakland, the Raiders were always playing a poker game with the Athletics and local government. The Raiders didn't want to split the coliseum property and revenues evenly with the A's if they were to both get new stadiums. With the Raiders moving, I think it's more likely the A's get a new stadium in Oakland now. The Bills obviously don't have this problem.

But he completely ruined the zipcode thing, unless he plans on moving to Michigan.
Holy crap, if he had Rochester's zipcode, he'd be the greatest NHL player ever
-
You mean like Rochester and Toronto?
The Bills have over 9 million people within 2 hours drive. It's not just Buffalo. If you compared regional population the Bills are one of the larger NFL markets.
100% correct. They get a decent number of fans from Syracuse/CNY and the Jamestown/Erie,Pa region too. The only time the Bills don't draw is late in December when they're long out of the playoffs.
If they move anywhere, it would be closer to downtown Buffalo given Pegula's other investments there.

An interesting factoid. Going into Gio's 1,000 game last night, he had 585 career points. And those of you from WNY know that 585 is Rochester's area code, his hometown.
Very special for him to score a goal last night and congratulations Gio!

My wife and I we're hooked to that as well. Solid show. I feel like the early to mid seasons we're great. Didn't love the show as much in season 6 or 7. Maybe I just got bored with it, I'm not sure.
Saul and then Gus later on are awesome supporting characters that really help fuel that show, IMO.
Not to mention Saul's lackey squad. Huell never failed to crack me up. I can't wait until he and Bill Burr show up on Better Call Saul.
Gus is set to show up this season on Better Call Saul too!
If you rearrange the first letter of all the episode titles of the second season, it reads FRINGSBACK. Plus what happens in the finale.

I know this isn't a "show" (I can't find the "What to watch" thread) but Dave Chappelle's new stand up on Netflix is hilarious. The four times he meets O.J. had me grabbing my abdomen. There are two hour long episodes of his routine so it's a quick watch.

You're the best Ralph. Without you, there'd be no Bills. Thank you. RIP.

The biggest problem with the prequels I had was that Darth Maul went out like a b****. It's made even more funny in the third episode when Obi-Wan advises Anakin to not jump because he (Obi-Wan) has "the high ground", and I'm like "that didn't matter for you in the first episode."
But Maul would have been a great villain to have for all the prequels.
