  1. 1. Forbidden Planet

    2.It's a wonderful life

    3. War of the Worlds (original)

    4. Any Errol Flynn movie ( I know I cheated)

    5. Saving private Ryan

I know how upset some "Boarders" get if you list more than five so I stopped. Could have gone on and on.

Yeah I should have used the vague title "Favorite Movies" with no limit. I could probably name 15-20 to be honest.

If you don't have HBO, do yourself a favor and borrow or steal someone's HBO Go login and go watch The Wire. It might be a tad outdated with the pagers and old flip phones, but it doesn't matter. It's an incredible journey through various aspects of crime/police/politics/school in Baltimore with some of the best characters in television.

    Tier 1

    Seinfeld
    The Wire
It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia (Unfortunately the consistency starts to drop in later seasons, but there are still fantastic episodes)
    Tier 2
    The Office
    Parks and Rec
    30 Rock
    Archer
    Arrested Development
    Fargo
    True Detective (Season 1)
    Game of Thrones
    The Simpsons (early seasons)

I thought last year's season (I haven't seen the most recent one) was excellent. Charlie invoking Bird Law was side-splitting.

  3. Someone tell that Kraut I don't roll on Shabbos.

"I am not Mr. Lebowski. You're Mr. Lebowski, I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me ya know? Either that or His Dudeness. Or, uh, Duder. Or El Duderino, if you're not into the whole brevity thing."

    That's a good list. Memento was a mind !@#$.

I had to rewatch it the second it ended.

  4. Other than the three AFCE teams, definitely the Steelers. Fans are so obnoxious and spoiled but somehow they find things to b***h about anyway. According to them, Tomlin is an awful coach who has held this team back from winning multiple more titles.

The Bills make me hate the Bills quite frequently.

This. I certainly haven't been angrier at any other team than the Bills.

  5. Since we have a top 5 favorite TV shows, I thought we'd do top 5 favorite movies.

    Mine:

1.) Goodfellas- I personally think it's Scorsese's best, but Taxi Driver and Raging Bull also contend for that title. Really shows the dark world of the mob and doesn't hold back.

2.) The Shawshank Redemption- So uplifting and just a great story. Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman steal the show.

3.) The Empire Strikes Back- Best of the Star Wars movies. Enough said there.

4.) Memento- The narrative structure is so unique and after watching it you'll be forced to watch it again because your mind is blown.

5.) Edward Scissorhands- Quirky and lovable. It's a 90s, suburban take on the Frankenstein/Outsider story.

  6. Wooooh!

What a game! Wolverines move on. I don't think they can go to far, but what a run they have had since the Big 10 tournament.

I love Bielien as a coach but at the same time I'm happy Michigan hired him because it allowed WVU to get Huggy Bear! Haha.

I'm not necessarily a Bylsma advocate but Scotty Bowman couldn't coach the disorganized mess that Murray has put together.

Here you go Dan.....a young offense with some 1000 year old guys strewn in....no defense at all and an inconsistent goalie who hasn't gone on his inevitable murderous rampage yet. Now....coach'em up!

Yeah Murray certainly hasn't done enough and he's admitted as much, which makes me think Bylsma will be back next season no matter what happens with the final dozen games. Last offseason Murray just signed Okposo, flipped Pysyk for Kulikov and then called it a summer.

Edit: and trading for Vesey's rights but we know what happened there.

I'll concede that Bylsma hasn't had the best to work with but watching how this team plays with a lead and player usage has gotten me questioning whether he's the right coach for this team.

  8. Can I get any love for the SMU Mustangs?

I have more faith in them than my Mountaineers. I think they beat Bucknell but I'm not so confident they make it out of Buffalo vs Notre Dame/Princeton. SMU, on the other hand, I have in the Sweet Sixteen in a few of my brackets and the Elite 8 in at least one (I've done 3-4 so far).

I cannot stand this family already. Sorry ucla fans but I hope they lose

    @darrenrovell

The father of Lonzo & LaMelo Ball says he wants a 10-year, $1 billion shoe deal for the family

Technically LaMelo is gonna have to wait for that money to play college basketball for at least one year. And isn't LaMelo only a high school sophomore?
