Why not package Milano AND Josh for the number one overall...🙄🙄🙄🙄
I think they could get number one overall for Josh and keep Milano. Trading Milano and Josh for the number one overall would be a big fleecing.

If he held this power of emotion over you I suggest you seek an opportunity to explore more beneficial meanings in your life.
I pictured a guy with a tin foil hat behind a keyboard wrote this, am I right?

If they did, it would mean they're super confident in Bernard and Williams.
Super confident in Williams as far as what, they played like 4 other shmucks ahead of him last year. The guy has talent and hopefully it all comes together for him but I think the team demonstrated a big lack of confidence in him last year.

We shall call this the booger bowl

The bills are taking a bigger cap hit for him than the ravens.
-
Just gonna point out the bills need depth at cb. With White and Jackson gone it’s a position of need to a degree. Elam could be traded but that would mean there are two openings for depth.

Why would you assume the only options are final 4 and Super Bowl? Every other nfl playoff weekend is better than both.

Thurman Thomas minus Nyheim Hines

The only issue is that a team trading for him would take on his guaranteed contract. $4.7M total for 2024 & 2025. There have been recent trades where guaranteed money reverts back to the original team if the player is cut. I’m not interested but I’d want us to insist on that if we did acquire him.
Yeah, you have to be confident he can work out, you are kind of committing to having him on the roster....we dont need dead weight because once upon a time he was a high pick.

He probably has a better chance in the NFL than the NBA. It was fun to watch him though
-
He fits the mold but he has had the opportunity and done nothing with it so far.

This is a complete nothing burger.....a teammate saying something and getting snapped at after a loss.....no way! Has anyone here not experienced this type of behavior in their own family?

Get 11 out of there

It worked out well for all parties, except for the only one that I actually care about. It never should have come to this.
Diggs forced it….Joe Marino had a good rant on it. F him let’s move on. This will open up cap in the future for other stars who want to be here

change your name to Minnow

Gonna go out on a limb here and guess "because they offered something for him" for 50 cents Alex

Not really.........probablyh not impossible with an extension but I really think they will want to find a guy in the draft and maybe try to find a lower priced vet via FA or trade after the draft.

The only number that matters is the score at the end. There are 53 guys that contribute to that. Since you asked here is the oh so important 2023 receiving stats.
Diggs 107rec 1183yds 8tdDavis 45rec 746yds 7td
Kincaid 73rec 673yds 2td
Shakir 39rec 611yds 2td
Cook 44rec 445yds 4td
Pick and choose games all you want. The fact is the Bills are weaker on the fire power end of things without Diggs.
Pointing out the Bills are weaker without Diggs is one thing. Saying the only thing that matters is TD's is a way overly simplistic mindset and minimizes all of the things that have to happen in order for guys to have the opportunity for the TD which are critical.

I can promise you there will be no day of reckoning until Josh retires. They will keep moving around cap until that day. Yes we’ll see some older players let go but that’s just as much about age as it is cap.
What’s interesting is the original post talking about cash over cap. Maybe people remember the old Russ Brandon cash to cap term. That was only spending cash up to the cap.According to this, for 2024 the Bills are at $212M which for this year for cash which puts them significantly under the cap number. That can and will go up but not sure if they will get to the cap number for 2024. All the dead cap is cash that was spent in previous years.

Diggs gets more money this year and gets to choose where he plays next year. Seems like a good deal for him and pretty straightforward.
I think it is clear Diggs was orchestrating all of this behind the scenes.

They were always voidable. All Houston did was move the very small amount of bonus money he had left on his contract to 2024.Otherwise he was cutable almost any time with next to zero cap ramification.
The Houston restructure is a giant nothing burger.
Yes and no, it benefits Diggs not Houston from what I can tell by guaranteeing he can be a UFA. I guess they could tag him. Houston could have had the option to continue with Diggs or take a small dead cap, now its a one year deal. To trade a potential high second next year on a rental seems a bit odd even with the 5 and 6 going back.

I think Beane is going to try to address this with rookie(s) not another high priced player. Though they can probably sign some higher priced guys next year given they are clearing dead cap this year.
