  1. I started this thread after Mahomes week 2 preseason game, before Peterman's solid performances in the preseason.

Peterman has looked pretty good, so much so that I'm not feeling nearly as uncomfortable with the trade as I did when I first posted the thread.

Here's a question to Bills fans, if you had a chance at a redo, and take Mahomes and not have an extra #1 pick in 2018, and not have Peterman, would you do a do over?

I honestly don't know right now. Mahomes really looks like a Favre-type who will throw a lot of picks along with electrifying TDs. Peterman is the classic drop back passer, the style of QB who has won superbowls 90% of the time.

I just want an answer at QB this year so we can use ALL the picks on a solid team for the future.

  2. This Peterman talk will continue all season. I'll admit he has me intrigued, but I'm not quite ready to crown him the starting qb.

However, their was a play last night that showed me a sign of potential greatness. Something I can't remember seeing from a bills qb in some time. The link below is highlights of Peterman last night. Watching them again is impressive. Especially on that 2 min drill. However, skip to 2:15 in the video and you'll see in my opinion an amazing play.

Now maybe I'm way over thinking this, or maybe I'm just easily impressed. Either way I keep watching this play and seeing a veteran type qb.

Here's the breakdown. Peterman snaps the ball, drops back, pocket collapses fairly quick. Now if this was Tyrod, or Yates my guess is it would be an immediate scramble or sack. Tyrod may have immediately taken off running. However, what does Peterman do? STEPS UP IN THE POCKET, doesn't see a reciever open, runs down the line of scrimmage (still looking for a reciever), then runs for a first down (head first never the less). Again, I may be way over thinking this, but this play to me is tell tale sign that this kid is going to be great. Maybe not this year. But I really hope the bills hold onto this kid. See for yourself at 2:15

The pass up the middle to Oleary in between 2 defenders was a nice touch pass too.

  3. Julio Jones and Dez Bryant have struggled with injuries over the last few years, however the WR corps for Dallas and Atlanta are much better with them on the roster. Same goes for Watkins and the Bills.

The ultimate impact of losing Watkins is in the number of 8 and 9 man fronts the Bills will face. With a legit deep threat on the field, the Bills could take advantage of those situations. If they can't make defenses pay, then the running game is going to have a more difficult time.

How many rushing yards did the Bills have last year? How many games did Watkins miss? How difficult of a time did they have last year with Watkins out?

So he's out for like a week? But still going to practices? Jeez, this is not a big thing. Same for Zay's injury. Neither are very big unless the injuries hang around and around and around.

    Heh heh.

We should've drafted him and had him change his name to Kyle.

Not making a big deal about it. Was just thinking about what would come up on the site this week if he was a bill
