Sounds like Coleman was not a guy they really wanted to had to have.  I mean, that was pretty obvious from the fact that they traded down twice and then picked him.  He was in a bucket with a bunch of guys.  He talked about the tiers of WRs and said there was a clear top tier, then made it sound like there was a pretty big drop off to the end of round 1 and round 2 before getting to the 2nd tier.

To me, this means even a guy like BTJ who everyone had rated fairly highly, was in this tier 2 group and not in the tier 1 group because if he was, I believe they would have done everything they could have to move up the handful of spots it would have taken to get him.  So, guys like Worthy and Legette were probably all in the tier 2 bucket with Coleman and a few other guys and they just took the one that was there.  Frustrating for someone like me who did have several guys above Coleman who in this scenario I would have had more as a late tier 2, top of tier 3 kind of player.

But regardless, I think they are really hoping to win by having Josh play point guard this year and just get it to the open guy no matter who it is or what position it is.  It's a bold strategy that could pay off if it works, but if it doesn't, it's yet another season of not fully committing to building around Allen and just forcing him to make everyone around him better rather than getting Allen the most weapons possible to unlock even another level for Allen in his career.

I think they had a good feeling they could move down and get him.

I think the first 5 are obvious, then the rest fight for the 6th spot.

I’m hoping Claypool or Hamler rise up and take that spot.  IMO those are two guys with the most talent out of that group.

  3. Coleman

    samuel

    shakir

    Hollins

    MVS

    Then a battle for 6

Hollins and MVS will stick. I see it as either Shorter or Claypool sticking for the final spot. Shorter has the edge as a Draft Investment, if all things are equal. Everyone else is a very long shot with the Practice Squad as their most likely ceiling.

If Hamler stays healthy he’ll be one to watch

Common misconception.  The Bills get $10M Tre money June 1st, also potential Josh restructure money.

If you look at the salary aspects, none of those seem bad, it is the future money where the expense will be, and the Bills have room in the future.

Allen can’t restructure again until next year

  5. I’d like to say Shakir but he’s probably like the 3rd or 4th option in the passing game and I wouldn’t say he’s coming out of the shadows.  He came out of the shadows last season.

So I’ll say Elam.  I think he’ll have to play quite a bit.  Benford isn’t exactly the most reliable when it comes to being available.

What?  Rousseau has far more upside as a pass rusher and is already elite against the run.

Epenessa is a better pass rusher than Rousseau

Frank Gore Jr is a small human being.

I mean, he's not really, I guess. 5'10" 201 lbs is fine for a running back.

He sure LOOKS small out there for some reason though.

I refuse to completely write off anyone with those bloodlines, however.

    .6 RAS score lol

Seems like Gore is immediately ahead of TJ  on the depth chart on this thread? TJ has earned a spot on this roster and will hard to move out. Gore is a PS guy as TJ has a different element in his  game.

I agree.  I don’t understand people thinking Gore will beat out Ty

  8. Please find someone else other than Chris Brown.  He’s as terrible

    Per Bills Twitter.

Sounds like he's still recovering from the stroke

Wishing him the best. He had a bit of that old school football cadence that is in short supply these days.

Really hoping the Bills upgrade from Chris Brown. That guy is awful. His ceiling should have been local high school football but he looks like he's not allowed within 500 yards of a school anyway.

He’ll never recover from that.  He must of had a bad one.  God bless him

He took the Giants to the playoffs and made Daniel Jones a winner.

Josh progressed and had great seasons under Daboll.

It's not a stretch to think Daboll brought put the best in Allen

Certainly, Dorsey was no where near as successful. Remember, the bonehead Allen INTs?

Nowhere near successful? They were pretty much identical in a lot of categories in 2021/2022.  A lot of Allen’s INTs were boneheaded decisions by him nothing to do with Dorsey lol.  Crawl out from under your rock.

I'm surprised by the money. Must be a big market for DT's this year and/or there was some competition. He was injured a lot last season - but when he was healthy he was a force as a rotational D-Lineman. Hopefully he can stay healthy and make the price worth it.

As it stands now, Ed Oliver, Daquan Jones, Jordan Phillips, and Tim Settle will all be Free Agents next year - which is our entire DT room. So i'd expect to see an extension or two soon.

The details haven’t came out.  It could be an up to 3 million deal.
