The weird thing is 4 of his TDs came against the "good" teams. Bills 1, Cowboys 1, Chiefs 2. The other was the Giants. Honestly looking at their schedule, they haven't had it easy. Its amazing that team is 4-5 with Zach Wilson.

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - On Scapegoats and Five and Five
Scott7975 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
Funny thing is that we don't have any true coordinators left. If McD got canned in season the interim coach would be the waterboy haha. I mean we got the ST's coach still I guess. Is anybody even going to want to work for McD next season or are we going to be stuck with the "promote from within" or retreads begging for any scrap of a job? -
Im not sure if this one was posted or not yet but I am listening/watching it now. It's a good listen IMO. I will watch the Warner one next. One thing is said in here is something I said even when Daboll was here that I didn't like about him. They don't build off the plays. They don't run the football and build off of it. They run the football just to run the football. It isn't setting up a pass. He also said something else I have been saying... you aren't going to march 80 yards on the Jets consistently taking 3-5 yards at a time. Can't really do that against any team. The explosive plays have to be mixed in there.

Head coach Robert Saleh was asked on Wednesday, November 15 how would that change the game plan heading into the game. “[Joe] Brady is a very talented young man. From a schematic standpoint, we have our thoughts [but] I’m not going to get into it here. From a play-calling standpoint, we have our thoughts [but] I’m not going to get into it here. Obviously, there is going to be some nuance and some change. You don’t change coordinators unless you’re expecting something to be different,” Saleh explained. “At the same time, to expect them to reinvent the wheel on such short notice, they are who they are. It’s an extremely talented football team. They are still a top-10 offense despite changing coordinators.”

My favorites are when people in the GDT: Why Josh throwing into triple coverage. Then you look and see Diggs is single coverage and Josh got rid of the ball just before he got nailed. It was a bad throw but it wasn't no damn triple coverage. Wasn't all that great of a route by Diggs either honestly.
-
Funny thing is that DB was initially just trying to make Diggs drop the ball, not intercept it. Initially both the DB's hands were on the inside of the ball just trying to pry it out. How that ended up an INT is just crazy. All I did was look at Mahomes to see you didn't even bother checking and just throwing stuff out there. in order: 1, 12, 5, 6, 13, 12, 8(current season on pace for record high of 15)

I mean, I think McD's time here should come to a close. I still feel he was a pretty good head coach, but he doesn't embrace the talent of Josh. I don't have a problem with him wanting things done "his way." Thats the entire point of being a head coach. He is the leader. I just don't think his way is the right way in the NFL. I think McD is what is in Josh's head and why Josh has taken a step back this year. Josh can't play his way and it takes the special out of him. Maybe that isn't the case but thats how it feels and looks to me.

I dont mind him when he is by himself honestly, but together the show is just trash.

Would you today trade places with Texans fans?
Scott7975 replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've been a Bills fan for over 40 years. Why would I switch that just because we are having a down year? No, I am not a guy that changes teams based on who is winning. -
My favorites... "he is just doing what McD wants him to do" "he eats up the middle and no one throws his way," meanwhile the receiver run right behind him in his zone coverage and he doesn't even move while the pass gets completed.
-
He got more popular and it's gone to his head. When he was up and coming he was pretty respectful. It was a good change from the 3pm idiots. Now he is just like them. Sal is a shill but his attitude towards callers is more like the 3pm idiots.

Who was behind the decision to fire Dorsey?
Scott7975 replied to The Helmet of's topic in The Stadium Wall
Obviously this forum, the media, and twitter -
we lost because the offense played poorly, not just Josh. Some of it is Josh but the entire offense had miss ques. Except maybe the o line oddly. One of those ints is on Josh. The other is on Davis. Some of the yardage is because Cook fumble first play and drops from everyone on good passes. Some of it is a bad play call. Some on Josh and some on everyone else. Mahomes does have games like that. Can’t speak for Herbert as I haven’t seen him enough. Burrow has games like that too.
-
I’m kinda checked out right now. I’ll watch the game and root for the team as I always do but like a checked out player going through the motions, I’m a checked out fan. Season is shot as far as anything meaningful. Almost think it’s better to lose out for change and a better draft pick but I’m too stubborn to actually want my team to lose.
-
sure sure. I totally believe that you’ve been reading for a long time and just decided to join just now. Long time listener first time caller. I’ll hang up and listen. Exactly my point. He still would be injured here too. With a worse offense. Suddenly he is 8-2 though. He was bad because he was injured but being here injured he woulda won 3 more games.
-
I guess you aren’t getting what I am saying. Of course they will be changes. Fundamentally it will be the same offense. What they use from that offense might differ. Play calls, game plan will naturally be different because different people see different things and have their own spin or what they think is right. Expecting the 49ers offense or Philly offense or Joe Brady to install his own entire system is what isn’t going to happen.
-
I just right click the url copy and paste and it works. I don’t even get the x.com I get twitter.com. Probably doesn’t work like that on mobile.
-
Yeah what I meant by that is that they can't change the playbook. All they can do is the things I said above. Its largely going to be the same offense.
-
Its too difficult to install an entire new offense once the season starts. There is a reason these guys go through training camps. Thats the time to install offense. All they can do now is keep the same offense but hopefully form better game plans, execute better, and do a better job of having rhythm in the game. If Joe does a good job it would be because he was able to identify what in the offense works and what doesn't. Maybe simplify it down to what they can better execute.
-
Exactly
-
I expect to see the same offense because its too late to change anything. I also expect that Joe B does his best to get the guys executing better and taking the stuff that does work and try to keep with that. How the results turn out, I have no idea.
-
I agree. Cover1 guys were not on the Dorsey sucks bandwagon until now. The video however is not cover1. Its Dan O.
-
Have you actually watched any of the games? I'm not saying Allen is better than Mahomes. I'm saying what you said is pure nonsense. How is Burrow having this team at 8-2 when he has a better offense and is 5-4 right now? Mahomes has also had a down season just like Allen is having. Watch the games, not past results.
-
Yes Josh wanted Dorsey. Dorsey was already being trained for the job before Daboll left.
