Week 12: Buffalo Bills vs Philadelphia Eagles
Scott7975 replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Come on bro. You been pretty aggressive in this thread. You know there is more than one way to win a game and every game is different. Like, I don't like our chances all that much but if our team shows up and plays how they can play, they can win this game. It's just their execution has been piss poor most of the year. -

Let me say that I don’t like this game but I’m not going to use stats to talk me into a win or loss. They play the game for a reason. Anything can happen. If we lose we lose but I know this team can beat anyone if they play their best ball. -

well that would be why we need our good offense. They are going to get points but I don’t think they are gonna score every drive. -

I have no idea what to think of this game. No idea what offense is going to show up. Will we go on a streak and get good Josh with good skill players for two weeks in a row? Will we go back to the dumpster offense that can't do anything all game but manage to score a couple in the 4th? No idea. If we are going to win we need the good execution version of the offense though. As for the Eagles, they are 9-1. I really don't know how. I have only watched a few of their games but each one I watch they are just mediocre. It's like other than tush push they do nothing spectacular. They just manage to pull out a win every time. Hurts isn't impressive most of the game. He throws passes all game to the LoS. They have a good runner in Swift but even he gets stuffed. I guess it's just that they seem to hit the explosive play the few times a game that they need it. We need to not let them do that. -

I think the Bills will put it all on the field regardless of bye week. They know they are up against the wall with not much room for error if they want to make the playoffs. -
I really don't feel like typing out each game. That would take me a lot of time and my hands don't work so well. If I have to, to prove it then I will but I don't think I need to. I use playoff machine, not the NYT one. I've ran at least 3 scenarios the Bills don't get in at 10-7 and all 3 were realistic. It really isn't that hard to see 3 other teams making 10 wins when 7 other teams can technically do so. The Bills have pretty much no tie breakers against any of them accept for maybe a head to head against the raiders. That head to head didn't even matter a week ago as tie breakers put the Raiders ahead of us due to conference record and multiway tie stuff. Our conference record is what is really killing us in the 10 win scenario. Sure some have. Others seem to think 10 wins and we are in easy peasy. Some have even argued with me about it.

Week 12: Buffalo Bills vs Philadelphia Eagles

The 2023 NFL schedule has undergone two changes for Week 13, the league announced on Tuesday. The Denver Broncos at Houston Texans game in Week 13 on Sunday, Dec. 3, previously scheduled for 4:05pm ET on CBS, has been flexed and will now kickoff at 1:00pm ET. The television broadcast for the Broncos-Texans contest remains on CBS. As a result of that change, the Week 13 Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers contest has been flexed from its 1:00pm ET spot and will now kickoff at 4:05pm ET. The Panthers-Buccaneers contest also remains on CBS. No other Week 13 games were affected by the changes, per the league announcement. -

Exactly. Not enough people understand that. Bills dont even control their own destiny winning out. That scenario is unlikely but there are at least two scenarios where that is the case. People talking like losing 2 games is no problem.
-
What's realistic is enough teams have the same or better record than us if we went 10-7 and keep us out of the playoffs. There are many scenarios where that can happen.
-
There isn't anything unrealistic. You just want to believe the Bills can skate in at 10-7. Thats tough to do this year. Cleveland has a stout defense and a good run game. They only need to win 3 games to get to 10-7.
-
Thats no excuse. You can't use it and then complain about people caring about it. You using it is exactly the same reason people care about it. Allen is a god here. Football is a huge part of the Buffalo communities lives. That Buffalo community extends all over. Even different countries. So what? Lamar is a god to you. You defend him like he is your brother. The media does dog crap on Allen and hold him more accountable than other QBs. Commercials have nothing to do with sports media.

Because different things can happen in different games. We beat KC in the regular season the last two years. Did it matter in the post season? I get your point but the playoffs are just a different beast.
-
Who said anything about different players in different roles? I said he rotated the talent that was on the bench. Everyone saw the field and was involved. Even the practice squad running back.

It's not just about ... but that guy was open. It's about making an offense that fits the talent you have on the team. Josh was struggling with this offense. The players were struggling with this offense. The talent was not utilized. Coaching was not making the mistakes go away. But hey a guy was open. There is a lot more to it then that. Dorsey ran a generic offense designed to just have plays that had answers. Plays that are run against any defense and not an actual gameplan to exploit a specific teams weakness. He didn't run plays that actually schemed anything. It relied on the players always making the right decision and have precision. There isn't room for errors. He had no idea what to do with half the players on this team. He ran motion just to run motion and did so sparingly. He had no mix of the run to pass game. Sure, he ran the ball but never a surprise. It was run run run run run until it was stopped and then back to pass pass pass pass. Joe B came in and constantly rotated through our offensive players on the bench. He simplified things down for Josh to have easy button plays. He used motion a lot. More than anytime Dorsey has. Not only that but that motion had purpose. It identified coverage and also cleared spots for receivers to be. We used the middle of the field quite a bit. Something we didn't do much of before. He had a run and pass game mixture to keep the defense guessing instead of just going one or the other. He had a plan against a team and embarrassed them. He ran plays to setup future plays. He ran plays that made the defense defend everything. Something Dorsey has not been able to do against the Jets. McD made a comment and said something along the lines of "I could hear all the chatter of the offensive staff communicating and adjusting throughout the game." You don't make that comment unless it's something that hadn't normally happened. Sorry, it might not seem like much but it obviously was. It isn't just about "that guy was open" on the still shot.
-
He was a stud against the Jets and played well against Denver too. I dunno, I don't really watch all that deeply too much but the dude has been making plays. I agree, the d should be able to make a game winning drive stop. Outside of that they have played very well. I just can't fault a D that keeps the team in the game for 3/4 of football the offense did nothing. Especially with as many turnovers and 3 and outs this offense has had.

Did they at least try an offensive players only meeting first?
-
Oh noes!! They fired the wrong guy!!! It wasn't the coordinator. It was the execution!!!
