  1. It’s long overdue for Davis to take some snaps off and to get some of the other guys more involved.
I’d like to see Isabella and Harty involved in the offense a little. Defenses have to respect their straight line speed. Nobody is scared of Gabe Davis deep 1 on 1.
He’s a solid player but he’s completely unreliable to get open or even catch the ball when he’s open. Sometimes less is more

  2. Johnson has done a good job in Detroit. Hes also unproven. I’m not sold he’s this guaranteed success as a head coach some think. As a coordinator I respect his game, he will not give up the run game and that’s a trend that’s hurting the league right now imo.

  3. I feel the same. Super Bowl or bust.
I think they are still capable of beating any team in the league.
Im a fan of the high powered pass offense but it’s too much finesse and in the big games we constantly see defenses play more physical and ruin Buffalos whole offense.
I am very encouraged by the run game, you see the life in the O line as they are winning matchups and getting fired up. Big difference from getting beat in pass pro repeatedly and everyone looking mopey and out of it. Now that they are trying to find a balance of high powered passing along with getting nasty and ugly in the run game. They can win in ways they could not in previous years.
My only concern is Dorsey and injuries

  4. They are better off without McKenzie.
Solid guy, solid depth piece that can play many roles. Shouldn’t be on the field for a playoff team unless there’s major injuries.
Harty should get more actual snaps not just the couple gadget plays. They need a speed deep threat that takes the top off defenses. Sub out Gabe for a handful of plays and put Harty in. Just one route, go deep. His speed in a 1 on 1 with Allen’s arm should scare defensive coordinators. I also think he’d be very valuable when plays break down and Allen’s making magic happen. I like Davis more than most, but I don’t like him playing 90% of the offensive snaps every week.

As someone posted above, the Panthers are not going to trade WRs. They are looking to add WRs to help develop Young. And the Raiders? They won yesterday and sit at 3-3. The only bad teams that would trade offensive skill players are the Vikings, Broncos, Cards, Titans, and Bears. And I don't see any options on those teams that would be an upgrade except for perhaps Jeudy. And I'm not really a fan.

  6. Carolina has been rumored to be looking for someone to pair with him.
Think about it. They have a rookie quarterback they are trying to develop, you’re gonna trade the ONLY guy he has chemistry with for a low round draft pick?
They have Burns, Chinn and Jackson they are rumored to be shopping. Guys that don’t fit financially with where they are on the build.

  7. I think offense is looking kinda bad across the league. I do blame some of it on offenses running mostly only shotgun, and the lack of the run game.

It’s a passing league, you don’t pay big money to running backs, but I think the run game is still mightily important and being neglected. Most of these guys coming from college are not comfortable under center and that deletes a decent portion of the playbook.
Buffalo really turned the momentum last night on that really long drive by simply manning up and pounding the ball a few yards at a time. Changed the whole game around.

  8. Forget Renfrow and the price tag.
If you’re trading for a receiver go rent Hollywood brown for half the season from Arizona. He can cut into Davis’s snaps, defenses have to double his speed on the outside because with Allen’s arm if you leave him 1 on 1 it’s gonna be a big play. It just makes perfect sense. Arizona didn’t extend him. He obviously wants to rack up stats for his upcoming free agency. And he won’t cost a ton to get.
The only issue I see is Mcdermott dislikes playing anyone new to the team. But Hollywood is the guy I’d chase not Renfrow

  9. I think folks just need the have some patience. He’s here. He is going to play. Might as well cheer for him instead of looking for every mistake he might make on the field. Best case scenario is he improves and gets more comfortable week to week.
We just ran this gauntlet with Epenesa. He wasn’t an NFL player. He’s a bust. Liability on the field. Playing limited snaps despite a high draft slot. And he’s continued to improve, and never really shined until injuries forced him into a larger role. I still have confidence the light will go on for Elam and he’ll be a valuable part of this defense if he stays healthy this year.

  10. It’s unpopular but this needs to be a run first team imo. Lots of motion and multiple runners.
The line seems to get into a groove when they’re getting enough attempts per game. With the injuries on defense they need the time of possession.
Everything under center seems to work much smoother. And Davis should probably start losing some snaps.
In shootout situations or come from behind it’ll basically be the offense they’re running now.

They won 13 games last year. O’Connell is a good coach. Minnesota is very patient too, Zimmer was there forever

I don’t think he’s that good of a coach. It’s 100% too soon to fire him though. This thread won’t be much fun if we all pick the same few guys 😂

I heard some story that Mark Davis doesn’t have the money for Josh McDaniels buyout. So he’ll be around a. It longer.

I gotta go with Eberflus if Justin Fields reverts back to the norm which is awful there’s just no vision for that team.

I have heard this as well last year. They’re short or were short on actual cash in hand or something. I thought there was a story last year they actually didn’t have enough money to continue grudens payments while paying McDaniels if they fired him. But I also read gruden settled out of court on reduced pay or something.

Ridley last week: 2 receptions for 32 yards

Ridley the previous week: 3 receptions for 40 yards

Ridley the previous previous week: 2 receptions for 38 yards

Ridley is a good player but let’s not pretend he is some unstoppable force. I am confident that Tre or Benford would not have allowed the game Ridley had today.

Sure, there may be bigger takeaways. So go post in threads that discuss those. Why hijack a thread talking about one problem to repeatedly say “but there are other problems tooooo”?

I won’t engage in your threads in the future. We can agree on that 👍

Considering the contract they gave him. He needs to be more than that

His speed would definitely be a help taking the top off defenses. I don’t like the gadget role they’ve used him in.

    It’s a fair criticism

We had bigger issues that include offence, injuries etc.

But Elam did look bad out there

Ridley is a solid player. I’m not sure there’s anybody on the roster who was gonna cover him today without leaving Kirk and engram open all day.
I didn’t jump in here to defend Elams play or make excuses for him. I just thought there were much bigger takeaways from the loss than Elams struggles in his first game.
