  1. You're right about Luck, I was thinking of a different poster.

You're 100% wrong on Newton unless you're talking about his one great year. He has been mediocre every other year and made the playoffs a couple times only because of a weak division. I don't think a single person in the NFL world would agree with that statement. You were an EJ guy too right? You have Doug Whaley syndrome, you can't see past height and arm strength. Cam does things Tyrod could never do but you have to acknowledge the opposite is true as well.

I'd love to hear the things TT can do that Cam Newton can't?

    LOL

  2. Wow. This is the best evidence yet that you are actively rooting against Tyrod. That was a great play. I don't see how anyone can think otherwise.

The best evidence yet? What a case you have, there...lol.

It was a good play, not great. That's the delusional Tyrod love affecting you're ability to judge ahain. And it's a play I don't want my QB making because throwing against the grain works out poorly more than it's successful.

BTW...Wentz and Goff looked good Sunday, and so did the Rams. Guess you're thoughts on those things aren't looking very good, huh?

  3. He's rooting for the team to lose when TT is playing.Always has, always will. When they win, he hates it and the win was a team win. When they lose, it's all on TT and he charges into the message boards like a rabid rhino.

You get told time and again that his supporters have never said that, yet here you are again saying that. Do you have reading comprehension problems? serious question.

    Dishonest posting at it's worst.

You, nor anyone else has a clue when it comes to myself and my beliefs.

I actually find it very disrespectful, like most of the garbage you've spewed towards me. You lie and break rules here constasntly in regards to me, and to be quite honest, I'm tired of it.

Keep you're thoughts on me to yourself. You have no business speaking about another man unless you can say it to me in person.

Enough is enough with you, and it's time someone holds you accountable for the conduct you've displayed here.

  4. If the Bills put it out that Taylor was available for trade, the list of interested teams would be long

We heard the same thing last season. If TT was a FA, he'd get 20 mil/year and team's would be banging down his door.

Then reality happened and nobody wanted him and he took a pay cut to stay here.

  5.

I guarantee you that even if Taylor finished this year as a top 10 ranked QB and the Bills miraculously went deep in the playoffs, the very same people who hate him now would still be rooting for his demise and want him cut from the team. Hate runs deep.

I can only speak for myself, but there is no emotion that is involved when it comes to TT.

I simply just do not believe he's the answer.

If he ever becomes anything more than what I believe he is, then I'll buy in.

  6. Oy... are you seriously on this much of a crusade? Was it a 1st down or a turnover? If he didn't throw it, what happens?

You are refusing to acknowledge how great that play was and how very few NFL QBs could have made that play all because it would concede something. Absolutely ridiculous.

How many historically great plays have been throws QBs were largely taught not to throw?

Oh, and where was the luck on that play?

On that play you seem to be confusing luck and skill.

    How great it was? Seriously?

It was luck...no confusion there. Coaches don't want guys making throws against the grain like that because it usually turns out poorly, and luckily he got away with it...most times, you won't.

More nonsense from you here. Refusing to acknowledge a play because I would be conceding something?

OMG...i'm in tears reading that one!

You are quite the trip, bud!

  7. The thing with TT is this: it's like going to a steakhouse when you really are hungry for Italian. You could have a great steak, cooked just the way you like, everything good. But it doesn't matter because what you really wanted was Italian.

TT can play good football, but no matter how he does, if your idea of a QB is the big, strong armed guy that can make throws, like a Big Ben or a Rodgers, it won't matter how a guy like TT does. You just won't like it because it's not what you want.

The problem with this analogy is that Taylor is not steak...more like a cheese steak.

Steak is top of the line. Rodgers and Brady are steak and lobster.

  8.

Now see here, after a couple posts with which I actually agree - let's pump the brakes and not read too much into one game - here you go with the agenda again.

Who are all these people claiming that TT is great? Link the posts that "jumped on that narrative" or it didn't happen.

    "Drastically improved"

    "Proved the doubters wrong"

These are comments that have been made that show posters going overboard based off this one solid performance.

  9.

"Tyrod gave us no other option...."

Behind that curious turn of phrase is an agenda, eh?

Why do I imagine you saying that thru gritted teeth.......

My guess is probably because you have a wild imagination that you acquired by reading too much into what is on the internet.

  10. So it's an overblown issue when he doesn't do it but when he does do it he deserves credit? Asking for a friend since it difficult to keep up. ;)

This is what bothered me with posters here after the game.

Another is how I heard that nobody claims TT is great, but many jumped on that narrative after this average performance.

  11. Maybe you are right but look at him in the pocket , look at his footwork, look at that head scan the field, I can't remember one game where I was so impressed with these things. I counted twice where he escaped too early, felt "imaginary" pressure but he used to do that twice a quarter.

Did he miss some throws? Sure , did you look around the league? Been and his o got held to 14 points by the worse D in the league, Ryan struggled, look at Eli without his Sammy Watkins..

The guy just got out of concussion protocol a week ago. Just started playing with Matthews, I didn't say he played an amazing game.

I just loved what I saw in the pocket. 8/9 over the middle! And took command of an offense that put up over 400 yards! It raised his ceiling for me, he needs work of course but I am super encouraged by the mechanics he improved on. And I would call his footwork and poise in pocket a big improvement over anything on tape last year.

I'm not so sure about all of that.

I'd suggest pumping the brakes and seeing how things go for a few more games, but I'm really not interested in being that guy at this point, so have at it.

  12. Yep.

You can't ask TT to do things that the coaches don't ask him to do. It was very clear they were playing this game very conservatively. It was very clear they didn't want to force the ball downfield. Very clear they didn't respect the Jets offense so they weren't going to need to put up 30. And when the game went as planned, they curled up into a ball in the fourth quarter. He did what they asked him to. There are a lot of games they will ask more of him and we will see if he does it or not.

    This is all true.

I do have to wonder though if he can do more, or is it that the coaches know his limitations, and do not want to expose him?

  13. At the same time you come here with hyperbole on the other side of the fence. "A few short and very simple throws to the middle" What exactly is a tough throw? 5 different targets had 20+ yard receptions yesterday. You also move the goal posts. "Cant throw to the middle" now its "regularly/short and simple" He was 7 of 8 in the middle of the field period. That disproves "cant" which is what the original narrative was.

It's posters like you that I can't stand. I don't mind people saying Tyrod isn't good enough or we need to better or things like that. Those statements are true. If we want to win a superbowl then we need better than Taylor. You on the other hand cant even give him the slightest credit whatsoever without putting disclaimers in there about how things were short and simple. When Taylor was ballin and throwing downfield you said they were all simple sideline throws and he cant throw to the middle. When Taylor turns around and completes 7 of 8 passes to the middle you say he threw all short simple passes. The guy does what everyone says he cant do and goal posts move.

    Nonsense.

I gave him credit, and I have always said his stats have been acquired by easy, simple throws. He did throw to the middle more, but it wasn't anything difficult or impressive...i'm just stating the obvious here.

When he does what he's best at, he can be effective...moving out of the pocket, making plays on the run or throwing off of the run, and his deep ball which is good.

My concern has always been his limitations as a passer in a passing league, and how it seems to be a major flaw late in games and crucial moments in close games.

He's a fine player that does some good things, but my expectations of our team and QB are more than what he can bring to the table.

  14.

It is like you disregard that fact that the QB just proved all the "can't throw over the middle guys" wrong. And you are just waiting around for the guy to fail. And you can't wait.

That is what it seems like.

This is where posters lose me, and I feel the need to correct them.

He didn't prove anyone wrong. What TT has failed to do and still hasn't proven is that he can use the middle third of the field regularly. More specifically...at the same rate as most other QB's.

He made a few short and very simple throws to the middle of the field. Now here comes posters with the supreme hyperbole. TT has drastically improved, and he's proven all his doubters wrong.

At least now we can put to bed the argument that nobody is claiming Tyrod is great.

  15. He used the middle of the field more, which was good to see. Got the ball out quicker, which is good. Used the TE more, which is good. Used his mobility to make plays, which is good. Missed some throws, which isn't good.

I know it isn't going to happen, but these Taylor threads should be stopped at some point. He did some things yesterday that he's been criticized for, like using the TE more and going over the middle more. Yet that is not recognized by some.

He is what he is, a very athletic, mobile QB that has some deficiencies in his game. Criticizing him for what he is, is kind of dumb after a while. Brady doesn't get criticized because he can't make plays with his legs. That's a big part of TTs game so why say that's wrong? Use that skill, and keep working on other parts.

I didn't criticize him at all after this game. I said usual TT, and posters got mad.

Anyways...I agree with the overall premise of your post. He is what he is, and I'm glad he utilizes the skills he does have.

  16. Ha ha ha, read what you just wrote, "I never heard receivers blamed so much for dropped passes." Ridiculous

    I know what I said.

Posters here harp over every drop and always blame the receiver...even when it's late, behind, or just off target.

And I think we all know why that is, don't we?

  17.

just as you take yours personally, so it goes both ways really.

you have been on your anti taylor crusade while calling those like trans CoT.

while he has been on his pro taylor crusade.

in short, your comment is nothing more than calling the kettle black.

It's never been easy telling fellow Bills fans that their QB isn't the guy. Being brutally honest can be met with all sorts of reaction...many not very nice, and very emotional.

Don't confuse my honesty as anything else.

  18. Never seen any QB's "missed reads" dissected so much as I have with Tyrod. I never hear announcers during a game bring this up with any QB. No one knows the play call or progressions so I don't know how anyone could say where the ball should have been thrown. But that narrative is already built for Tyrod so expect to see it pop up a lot this year.

I never heard receivers blamed so much for dropped passes as I hear with TT, so it evens out.
