Honestly, I'd rather have d-hop over evans. Dude can still play and would be MUCH cheaper. Not sure if he's still under contract with the titans still though

Nothing like watching fat guys run in a straight line

Doesn't he have a close relationship with the Steelers coach? He's probably throwing stuff out there to try and stay in the nfl.

Nobody will believe me, but back in Buffalo Bills message board days, I had this EXACT same idea for nfl kick offs. Then the xfl started implementing it. Don't tell me they don't read these boards 😉

If he said he hasn't given the game another thought, people would be saying he doesn't try to learn from his mistakes and get better. People will see what they want to see.
True, I agree. But we always hear about staying level in the nfl. If someone makes a mistake you learn and move on. McDermotts statement sounds to me like he dwells. That's pure speculation on my part, but I do think that coaches and teams way over think thjngs sometimes

They were in cap hell before they signed Derek Carr.
Maybe, but he's still probly a big reason they're mediocre

The thing that sticks out to me is the part where he says those games go through his head a millions times. I get that, it's human nature, but maybe that's part of the issue. The over thinking it a bit.

They gave up a draft pick for Douglass. I'd be surprised if they didn't try to keep him.

That one punt he had for us preseason was insane.
Probably the best punter you could have when you're pinned deep.
They cut the other punter right after this game too. Then all the chaos happened

I think every football fan would love it to work and be entertaining. I think the issue with it is that it's way too similar to the nfl. You can't expect these players and these leagues to live up to the nfl. If I was the ufl, I'd make it a 100% passing league. Absolutely no running the ball. I'd also eliminate punting completely. Teams get 4 downs to get a 1st down. Zero punting, zero hand offs

I swear people wanna trade Diggs just to have something to talk about. It's that drought mentality we suffered with for so many years. Diggs is still a number 1 receiver. Trading him away right now would only set this franchise back. We're in a win now situation. We're not building for the future (although to some extent teams are always doing that). We need to draft high round receivers (I want 2 personally). Surround Allen with weapons

Not happening
Why? The stadium is enclosed. It's not half under ground like the current stadium. Not sure why blocking the wind would be so impossible

As long as the stadium is in Orchard Park, NY and not covered, the wind will be a MAJOR factor.
What I've read from the engineers is that it is being built to block the wind and that it'll be nothing like the current stadium

Good thing rain and snow always fall at a perfectly perpendicular 90* to the ground.
🙄
I think the biggest thing is the wind won't be a factor in the new stadium.

Why would they be expecting big production from Harty and Sherfield?
Two undrafted free agents, one of whom is 5'6" tall, who have shown glimpses of talent but never consistent production.
If what you are thinking is true and their plan for this past season (or any season) was to get big production from Harty and Sherfield then these guys are clueless... It's a lousy plan. If that's their idea of good enough....it's not even close to good enough.
They should have foreseen years in advance the tight cap coming with Josh on his 2nd contract. They should have drafted a couple/few talented young wrs in the top rounds over those 5 or 6 drafts to develop and have on rookie contracts. Instead they trot out undrafted free agents and hope for the best while constantly building the dline with top picks and expensive fa pickups; and once again the defense is statistically good but too soft to stop the good qbs when it really matters. It doesn't matter how good your players are when you line up 8 yards off the line on 3rd and 4. I hear people say it's time for another def line rebuild....
I definitely think they were expecting more out of them. They were almost complete non factors all year. Sherfield was supposed to be a deep threat and Harty was supposed to be the slot guy. Plus, Gabe was super inconsistent. Honestly, it's kinda surprising Allen put up as many yards as he did

I really think beane and McDermott were expecting big production from harty and sherfield. Unfortunately, they got nothing.

Hopefully, when we win it all, they do a part 2 about the drought and winning the superbowl

I don't wanna get any vet wr's to use as our number 1. Any vet we sign should be wr 3 Imo. I wanna draft young studs. I don't wanna keep trying re treads.

I'm honestly surprised that the rb, qb and wr's combine day isn't in prime time
