peterman will start, always the plan
Real McClappy replied to The Final Word's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why? The most NFL ready QB should start. It's really that simple. I and all know what we spent to acquire Josh Allen's service and very content we are trying to fix the position that has plagued our team for about 20 years now. I'm all for Josh turning into our franchise QB. I'm also all for Peterman taking the next step and becoming a solid QB or something even beyond that. What I don't get from this board is why a lot of people are close minded that a 5th rd pick at QB can't develop into something great? We should be all for it as it can be our future or amazing trade bait if both work out. Peterman has showed a lot of potential and is getting better and better every snap under center. What he is showing is exactly what you want from a 2nd year QB. Most just want to piss on it and constantly bring up the 5 int game like he learned nothing from it. It's really lame everytime I read it. Allen will get his when he can beat out Peterman, it's that simple in my mind. What is the problem with this? -
Is it possible we start 0-8?

Clearly time will tell but not going to assume anything based off preseason football personally. For me this preseason alone was about evaluating to see if any of our QB's are learning the game. You typically see these posts after the first few regular season games if not going well but, not after the 3rd preseason game. Just amusing to me at this point. -

Some TBD posters I love it! The same guys who said we would suck last year and we make the playoffs. Now the 0-8 to 0-16 crowd comes out which can only lead to great, great things. -
Peterman Cumulative Preseason Stats
Real McClappy replied to The Bills Blog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Protection will always look good when the QB is firing the ball directly off the snap. Why do you think it has been nearly impossible to get to Brady for so many years and why he's the least sacked QB in the league for just about ever now? -

I don't get it here either. It's like you must choose sides or something. I just want both to tear it up! -
Peterman Cumulative Preseason Stats

Pretty much and it's no knock on Allen at all he, has more to learn. The stats are outstanding but not even close to the determining factor for me personally. Peterman has an amazing quick release off the snap which is exactly what you need in the NFL to be successful as your not going to get the privilege to sit in the pocket for 3-5 seconds. That ass whopping against the Chargers he must have learned something or is it allowable to say develop? Dude has looked flat out outstanding other than those out throws. -
What if Allen isn't good tommorow?
Real McClappy replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Your right there, plenty writing him off as a bust after 3 preseason games. Allen just needs some more time to get the timing of the game down. Our O-line is not doing him any justice as well today which sucked but also something he needs to see. A lot of impatient Bills fans though that think it will happen instantly or the QB is a bust if they don't see it immediately. Just need more time like Peterman who is proving people wrong left n right after the disastrous Charger debacle.
