  1. Maryland was never a confederate state. They were considered a border state, meaning they allowed slavery at one point but never split from the union. Same with Missouri and Kentucky.
  2. Ok, I guess I was a tad snotty. I appologize. My morning coffee hasn't kicked in yet.
  3. Did you not even bother to read the whole article? What was one of the main criterea for Deberg and the rest of the journeymen mentioned in the article? Go ahead read it again slowly. No pro bowl appearances. Drew happenes to have four. Drew may be at the end of his career but the guy had a more than solid NFL track record of over 10 years as a starter and a top 5 in terms of all time passing yards. Deberg he is not. Find something else to B word about.
  4. This may have already been discussed, but why in the world did Charlie Weiss take the head coaching job at Notre Dame? It seems to me that he was a sure-fire candidate the get a head coaching job in the NFL after this season. He would have gotten one after last season if he wasn't prohibited from interviewing during the super bowl run.
  5. I know he was about as close as one can get to getting run out of town to make room for the QB of the future. But I'm afraid the first round draft pick will just have to wait another year or so. Drew Brees deserves to go to Hawaii and should get major votes for NFL Comeback Player of the Year.
  6. "Fletcher is having a Pro Bowl season." I hope he makes it. I want as many Bills to make the all-pro team as possible each year. I am not quite sure he will make the cut this year. He has a reputation as a dirty player around the league and if Takeo makes the pro-bowl again this year, I doubt London will go as well. But, I'd surely rather see him than Zach "buttcut" Thomas in Hawaii.
  7. "yeah, hes over rated. he only leads the NFL in tackles. we all hate the dolphins, but come on, even i can see Thomas is one of the top 3 LB in the NFL. " yeah, but the Fin offense is 3 and out every single down so the defense is always on the field. He is bound to make a tackle or two every now and then. London Fletcher is 3rd in the league. How many people are putting him down on their all-pro team?
  8. Thomas being out cetainly can't hurt the Bills running game. However, I do think Thomas has been overrated much of his career and had even lsot a step since his early years. That and he has one stevestojantty ass haircut.
  9. If the Bills win between 8 and 10 this year with a rookie head coach, every Buffalo fan should be drooling at the prospect of the Bills having a very good year next year. Willis will be odds-on-favorite to to a top 5 rusher and the the entire offense will have one year of Mularkey's system under their belt. With a great defense and a top-notch runner, the sky can be the limit.
  10. My first overall pick was freaking Jamal Lewis who hasn't done jack-stevestojan even in the weeks he was eligible to play. He has had one good fantasy game all year. If he would have gotten anything last week, I wouldn't have lost to the fat-assed office slug with the cracked front tooth and 1970's beard. To make matters worse, this lard ass is a Dallas fan and has never even been to Dallas or has any ties to the city at all. He is also a "lifetime" Red Sox fan as of last month.
  11. "Easily beat the Jets? Did you watch the same game I did? Nothing was easy in that game, we did nothing on offense for 54 minutes. Bledsoe is a has been, this team is going nowhere with him at the helm, nowhere. It is time to move on and prepare for next year as soon as Losman is healthy. Why waste next year and this year." I didn't mean that the Bills dominated against the JETS. I just meant that if the defense could have stopped the JETS on the final drive of the game, Bledsoe and teh BILLS would have beaten an undefeated team on the road. Not an easy thing to do. Nobody is saying Bledsoe is a top QB anymore, but against the JETS he was 16 of 29 for 197 yards with two TD's and one pick for a QB rating of 85. Not great production, but he didn't lose THAT game for the BILLS. Anyone that thinks the BILLS have a better shot at winning THIS sunday with JP is just flat out wrong. The kid played at Tulane for christ's sake and hasn't even been able to fully practice in a couple months. No big game experience at all. I'll have more people at my Thanksgiving dinner table than the average number of fans he has played in front of at Tulane. Now if the Bills lose 3 more games and are mathematiclly eliminated from the playoffs, then I say, hell yeah, let's get the kid some snaps. But until then, as sad as it is, Bledsoe is our best bet. That being said, is it too early to start drinking??
  12. whiteboy y do you go as whiteboy ?????? That was my nickname (for obvious reasons) when I played football in high school. We only had three white guys on the whole team. I was the only one who played defense.
  13. ICE, I guess you are entitled to your opinion like anyone else, but I am not too sure you are being completely honest with yourself here. It is well known how you feel about Drew as a QB, and I think your hatred towards him is effecting your rational judgement here. If you had to place a 10k bet on the Bills to win this Sunday's game, you would serioulsy rather have JP in there?
  14. So you are trying to tell us that Losman really is ready to take over as starting QB and Mike Mularkey is trying to pull one over on us all by telling a big fat lie?? In other words, a rookie coming off of a broken leg and out of a mid-major college program is completely ready to lead this team? Just to clarify once more, you think a kid with zero big game collego or pro experience who was on crutches for the last couple of months gives us a better chance to win this Sunday than the QB we have? The QB who could have easily beat the JETS on the road last time if the Defense didn't give up a last minute TD drive??
  15. "1 in 10 18-22 year olds, even BOTHERED to vote!!!" That is just totally unacceptable!! I can't believe how very far the youth in this country has fallen. I am tired of just sitting by and not doing anything about. I personally want all the young 18-22 year old females to line up and I will personally give them a nice lil' spanking to teach them a lesson!! Just doing my civic duty!!
  16. http://www.thebrushback.com/bills_full.htm forgive me if this was already posted, but this is some great stuff. The truth hurts!
  17. two starts= two 100 yard games. This is from a 22 year old kid coming off major reconstructive knee surgury. Nobody is saying he is the next OJ, but seeing as it took Jamal Lewis and Edgerin James two full years to come back 100% from a similar injury, chances are he will be a pretty good running back in this league. Looks to me like the kid has a pretty good set of hands and can throw a block or two. As far as contributing "when it matters", neither Willis or TD had any control over Willis' lack of PT in the first 5 games. Just remember, he should be a senior in college right now and is getting paid like a late second rounder. Seems like a good pick to me.
  18. Let's hear from all these people who were ready to lynch Tom Donahoe for the Willis McGahee draft pick. Three weeks ago all half the people on this board could talk about was how Donahoe's ego screwed the Bills by taking a chance on Willis. Where are all those people who honestly thought TD got hosed by Willis's agent? It looks like Willis might just pan out afterall. Come on now, fess up!
  19. I don't really think Queen L is hot but i wouldn't mind taking a look at her big black jugs.
  20. Rod Stewart is a tad before my time. What was the rumor?
  21. So has anyone heard any info on Vincent? I refuse to give-up on the season and it would be a killer if he is out for any extended period of time.
