  1. Wouldn't mind either OJ howard or Hassan Reddick and both might be available when we draft. I think Howard will open things both in the running and passing game. If we are going offense I think OJ Howard would be better option than either Mike Williams/Corey Davis. Now if we trade back Reddick or one of the 2 WRs would be my choice then with some consideration to O-line.

I am still hoping one of the safeties drop which is a long shot. Safeties are more important in a zone scheme vs corners. Adams or Hooker would be a perfect fit but no way they are dropping to us unless we trade up.

Favorite player in the entire draft.

  2. And the defense:

    @andy_benoit

McDermotts scheme requires front 7 talent, not great CB. So Gilmore allowed to leave. (Same as Norman leaving McDermotts Panthers last yr)

#Bills only have one true edge-bender in their pass rush: Jerry Hughes. Thats a problem.

Not wrong, Lawson is the guy you want setting the edge but also changes the offensive scheme for the OC since you won't be able to run at him. That's if he has a big leap this upcoming season. I'm excited to see Ragland and Lawson fully healthy this season.

  3. So many draft threads not sure where to put this, but I tend to value Benoit's opinion on where the Bills should go in the draft more than some of the "draft" guys as he studies film of every team, every game, every week.

    @andy_benoit

With Tyrod Taylor not being an anticipation passer, #Bills cant run complex route combinations. Theyll have to draft for talent at WR.

#Bills need at least two WRs to join Sammy Watkins. Any style of receiver can do.

Foundation of #Bills offense will remain the run game. Would be wise for them to find a No. 2 TE, allow Clay to be more movable chess piece.

LeSean McCoy turns 29 in July. Still have to consider him in his prime.

I'm all for Davis, Williams, or Howard but if Foster is at 10, how can you pass on him? But if he is not, then one of the aforementioned three prospects would make me happy.

Howard would make our RT better which is the weak link on the O-line. His ability to block and having the willingness to do so. That's hard to pass up but at 10 it's one pick people would feel better with dropping back a few positions and getting some compensation to be considered not a "reach". IT's been noted that it takes a few years for a tight end to find himself within the NFL, the lions are finally starting to see what they have in Eric Ebron.

Davis, as we know is the most NFL ready WR in the draft. Williams, the physical freak with his 50/50 skills which is appealing.

  4. Foster might very well slip into round 2, just like Ragland did.

Might, I'm not keen on that term. If Foster is at 10, you take him. He's considered the 2nd best prospect in the entire draft behind Myles. I think the Dolphins were happy with all the teams that allowed Tunsil slip all the way to them seeing as he the number one prospect in the entire draft.

  5.

Do you think going defense at 10 is the difference between having a good defense vs a bad defense?

I think the vast majority of us agree if there's one position we need to upgrade to go from where we are now to a perennial playoff team, it's the QB position.

If we perform on offense the way we did last season, top 10 in scoring and first in rushing (second season in a row)

Yes, I believe getting a Rueben Foster at 10 would change the overall defense, I mean they're comparing him to Luke Kuechly. When he went down that defense in Carolina didn't perform close to the level they were when he was in there.

I'm not against taking a QB in the draft, just not at 10.

  6.

EJ Manuel is not in the same world as Mahomes as a prospect.

The idea that the Bills should stop drafting QB's is a loser mentality that fits a losing franchise.

I think most people are on that boat we need to continue drafting QBs until we hit one but it's where people actually want a QB drafted is where lies the difference.

I have one question for you, do you think the defense was good enough last year?

  7. So many division games at the end of the season could either be a blessing or a curse. Judging by the last 20+ years....

And I used to complain about not getting primetime games but...F primetime games. I can't stand being that pissed of at 11:30, it makes for an angry sleep.

That's the worst, I remember waking up after the Seattle game cursing to myself during my morning training session.

Made for a great work out but still.

  8. Serious question - MG has only had one good season, correct? And he's going to be 27? I don't recall what he did in 2015 exactly but he was signed off the street in November and was on the PS until December when Karlos was hurt...

His numbers last year were impressive (ypc and efficiency) but possibly may not be replicated, could be an outlier. Just saying.

    Finally, someone said it.

    2015

    GP 5 ATT 47 YDS 267 YPC 5.7 Lng 60 TD 3 FD 8 Fum1 FL 1

    thanks that's not bad

It isn't but he had several big runs in 2015 that inflated his YPC, I also recalled against the Jets in 2015, the last game, he had 24 carries for like 28 yards.

  9. This is almost as bad as when Shane Ray got cited with possession 3 nights before the draft.

The funny thing is my step brother was an accountant analyst for a certain sports marketing agency, he informed me that he wasn't caught with 50 or something like that, he was driving around with a brick in the passenger seat.
