  1. If I were GM, I'd probably be hated more than Whaley -- I'd be looking to do something like the following for Day 1 & 2:

    #10 Pat Mahomes

#44 Sidney Jones (he'll go in the second on the basis of latest medical reports, imo.)

#75 Chris Godwin (probably won't last, but since this is fantasy land anyway.)

Unless you want to burn a first on RT, this is not the draft for offensive lineman.

Deep RB class means you can get a good one as late as the fifth.

    Yup, I hate you already.

  2. or after Reggie Ragland rips his head off behind the LOS. Did I just say that?

Sorry but their OL looked like **** in the SB and I don't see any improvements. Solder retired, Shaq Mason is still having nightmares about Grady Jarrett and they just cut 2014 pick Tre Jackson.

From that sentiment right there I predict a lot of 3 step drops in the future and not the greatest of running attacks.

  3. 47 TDs with just 15 turnovers and 1000 yards rushing is far from terrible. Quit bring up QBs like the Fitz-Taylor is better. look at the excuses you make up-the Bills offense put up 600 yards. Taylor did win-twice. The defense and ST were the sole reason for that loss. What is his reward for playing his best game-benched the next week because Whaley couldn't get enough of EJ.

Still, angers me to this day.

  4. Miami game was an aberration. Miami were playing street FAs and ultimately Tyrod didn't win anyway.

Fitzpatrick, Foles, Kyle Orton, Landry Jones and others have games like the Miami game. Don't hang your hat on the outliers.

He was pretty good against Seattle and those guys said Tyrod can play.

  5. I look forward to your mock every year. Definitely better than most of the "pros." But I disagree with your Bills selection. The Bills already have an elite receiver that they can't get their "money's worth" out of, and I think Whaley'd be gun shy going for another one when there are other positions of greater need. Same reason I think he wouldn't pick anything less than a consensus "can't miss" QB this year in the first round.

That's due to last season where Sammy's health issues did not allow him to get on the field. The last half of 2015 Sammy and Tyrod were on of the top QB/WR duos. I guess I can see why so many are against getting a legit number two receiver but shouldn't be because we have Sammy. Corey is someone you can plug in right away, seeing as we lost Woods but I think Corey can be/will be better than Woods.

One thing that wasn't mentioned is that Corey Davis stayed in school because he knew the team was going to be good and wanted to win. Now that's the type of player I want on my team.

My realistic first round pick was Corey, now I'm boarding the Howard hype train but if Foster, Adams, or Hooker are there at 10 it would be so tough not to take them.

  6. Huge mistake letting him walk, TD Mike did everything we asked him to do, our back ups are the caliber of TD Mike, we had cap room, I don't get it, letting him go to a division rival

Even didn't field kick offs like we asked him too.

Btw was the thread this long when Freddy got released?

First of all if you tender him at a 2nd round level it's more money. I'm sure they could have found a way, but they were trying to keep him at a cheaper price. I don't think anyone would have anticipate a team stepping in and offering him $4 million a year. If they want him that bad then by all means. Also, who's to say that the team didn't try to tie him into a more cap friendly deal? Maybe he wanted to test the waters. That's the problem I have with every move the Bills make, no matter what they do there's someone therento say why they should have done something completely different. Who knows, maybe they tried. I'm sure on a Thursday if they don't trade down from #10 there will be plenty of posts complaining about how it's the wrong move. Just like the Gillislee deal you need two interested parties.

Excuse me, logical and rational thoughts are not allowed in this thread, only irrational and emotional thoughts only.
  7. I can't speak for an entire fanbase but I certainly wouldn't be upset with it. I could see why they wouldn't do it though.

Drafting a WR with the 10th overall pick is also an admission of failure...and once again I wouldn't hate it. If it's Corey Davis.

Whaley and company have failed but if they are here to stay I'm ok with accepting that and moving forward and not doing stupid things just because they screwed them up previously.

I do not see it as an admission of failure. Can go several ways with the pick being a WR at 10. Do you think the GM of the Texans feels selecting Will Fuller in the first round while having DeAndre Hopkins is a form of admission to failing?

I just see it as adding more ammo for Tyrod or whomever the QB is going forward in the future, which would mean no excuses. Replacing Robert Woods with a Corey Davis, Zay Jones(late 1st if we trade back into the late 20s or 2nd round), or Mike Williams isn't a failure, won't know for sure until the season starts but it isn't a bad idea.

  8. At what point are people going to realize that running backs are not truly a dime a dozen (most are). Gillislee didn't average 5.6 yds/carry because he was just another backup running back. Just because he was drafted in the 5th round and came off out of practice fodder doesn't make him expendable. I stand by my prediction - NE will feature him and all of a sudden have a rediculous running game this year. Just remember, Fred Jackson came out of no where... Terrell Davis was a 6th round pick. Just because you came from nowhere and were a back up doesn't mean you are irreplaceable. MG is just on the cusp of hitting his prime. 4-6 years of damaging running coming out of NE. Our front office sucks.

You're acting like I didn't like MG, I did. I was happy with his performance for the most part. I think as fans we get a little too attached to any sort of bright spots on the team. I think Gilli was a great compliment to McCoy, but there is no reason to think he could be the full-time starter after Shady which was basically the contract was signifying with the amount of money in place. Look at his stat line. Most of his damage came in relief of Shady with a limited amount of carries. Another stat to note is the number of times he carried the ball 15 times or more when shady(6 games) was out of the lineup? Twice. Season Finale against the jets in 2015 24 carries for 28 yards and the season finale in 2016 with 15 carries for 40 yards, not so great, his 5.7 YPC average started to dip once he carried the ball more. Even with his biggest Cheerleader/Fan, Rex didn't give him the opportunity to carry the load in Miami with McCoy obviously suffering from a hamstring injury.

The price was just too steep for his value to this team, cannot forget the money invested in the RB/FB position DiMarco, Tolbert, and Williams attached to McCoy's big salary.

  9. @buffalo vs Oakland or TB, haven't decided yet going with a group of people.

    Atlanta

    @jersey on Thursday night

Also, will be attending one non-Bills game in Arizona when they play the Giants, my younger brother moved out there for a job with raytheon as an electrical engineer. He's a big Giants fan and it happened to land on the week I'll be there, still will wear my Bills gear. I'll be the Bills fan power bombing Cardinals/Giants fans through tables.

  10. I used to have to go to Valdosta for work. Here's a few things I remember:

    - Really nice people.

    - Office people kept asking me to tell the Darden Restaurant people to put an Olive Garden there. Always nice to have aspirations.

    - Two gates at the airport there.

    - Post 9/11 when the National Guard was briefly posted in all of the US airports I saw the lone, on-duty Guardsman at the Valdosta Airport fishing in the retention pond by the airport parking lot.

    Best. Job. Ever.

One serious question, was the pond stocked with Large Mouth Bass?
