  1. That placed sucked when they shut down the politics sub... this place is way better

Wow, it really is gone- what a dig **** organization in every way possible, they deserve to suck as bottom dwellers, which th don't seem to mind doing... !@#$ OBD

17 years without playoffs has made the online fan base anxious, suspicious and even a bit loony. The BBMB reflected that.

Hope all is well for you in Maine!

    Eric

    De.Thomas had 90 rec 1083 yds 5 TDs

    Em.Sanders 79 rec 1032 yds 5 TDs

While Siemian def has some things to work on. I thought he did a pretty decent job at getting his WRs involved in the offense. If These stats are their worst combined? I will take this production all day. There run game was dreadful.

Yes, he got them involved, but they were anything but explosive throwing the football.

Lots of dinking and dunking. Siemian was always waiting for guys to be open, versus throwing them open.

I don't think he's done developing, but I think with the limited physical skill set, the ceiling is low, and if we're OK getting rid of an average QB in pursuit of an elite one, what's the point in developing a guy who might cap at average?

  3. Just remember Simien played behind a terrrible O Line and no running game. We have one of th e better O Lines in the NFL, and the best running game in football. Now get him some real WR. who are not always hurt or suck, and maybe he would play well. I still am assuming McDermitt won't let TT go as he is a placeholder while we search for the next two years in the draft.

Siemian played with the best WR duo in the league and they had their worst combined totals in years.

DT and Sanders can both go deep and burn corners. Siemian really was quite poor at throwing anything 15+ yards down the field.

  4. Sometimes I feel it's Head Coaches who value elite QB play the least. Annd McDermontt, shame sir. You had Cam Newton guiding you. You don't think your anywhere right now with out him do you?

Many, many coaches feel the scheme, when executed properly, is more important than the talent.

Coaches may be realists that have an average player is "good enough" at certain positions. Very few front offices have the balls to get rid of an average QB in an effort to get an elite one, so I do give the Bills some credit for at least considering "going big or going home".

I think the Seattle route (lots of elite players, simple scheme) is still the best way to go.

So you're saying you want to compare mock drafts. Is that it?

Okay, just kiddin'. I agree that the predictability of the draft is non-existent but I do like the draft talk with regard to learning about prospects because I don't watch much college football.

Sure, would love to! Once free agency, pro days and the rumor mills settle down, I love talking draft, but there's so smoke and mirrors right now that it's tough to decipher. I won't pretend to know what's going on right now.

  6. I won't miss Bruce Smith eating our QB, thread count( averaging over 30 a week),

LOL - all with excellent grammar.

I will NOT miss the never ending draft talk. I get it, the draft is cool, I enjoy it, but folks get so wound up trying to predict something is not predictable outside the first 5 picks. Yeah, i'll pay attention to Mayock's final big board a week before the draft and make a mock draft (1st round only), but talking about some small school steal in the 5th round as an immediate contributor, mock drafts into the 7th round, trying to make a big board, the never ending rumor mill, what a joke. So many clowns who think "watching tape" is watching a 4 minute Youtube clip set to Puddle of Mudd or a Wiz Khalifa mixtape and trying to play wannabe scout. That's not how it works.

  7. Stumbled upon this thread and thought I would give a Broncos fans perspective on Siemian. Personally, I think it would be a huge mistake if Denver traded away Trevor. He showed a lot of promise as a first year starter. Outside of DT and Emmanuel, he had little to work with. Although he had these elite wideouts, he had a horrendous O line and absolutely no run game. Game after game, I watched him hang in there while taking vicious hits. He played half the year with a grade 5 separation on his shoulder (non-throwing) but it was described that he essentially had to tape his left arm to his body. Though all of this he never complained. He reportedly has an immense amount of respect from the locker room.

Despite these issues, he still managed to throw for 3,400 yards and 18 tds to 10 ints. Not incredibly impressive numbers, but a great foundation for a 1st year starter. He is an NFL starter and potentially a franchise QB. I think the main thing that clouds people’s judgement is his lack luster college career and that he is a 7th round pick.

Siemian is smart, accurate, tough and has a strong arm. I would be disappointed if the Broncos traded him because I think he will flourish with any sort of offensive line play. I would much rather hear rumors about Denver trying to trade away Paxton Lynch. Reports are that he doesn’t put in the work, while Trevor is the cliché, first guy in, last guy out.

So interesting how we all see things different.

I watched most of the games as well and didn't see anything impressive.

Too many extended slumps, some across multiple games, to get excited. The physical tools just aren't there either.

  8.

They also saw Tebow as the solution at one point...

McCoy and Fox did a great job tailoring the offense to Tebow's ability when Orton crapped the bed. Tebow was a Mcdaniels pick.

Elway realized early on it wasn't sustainable, cut him loose and brought in Manning.

I think Elway's track record as a front office manager is pretty undeniable, he clearly is a top tier GM.

The local sports radio stations still do talk about Tebow from time to time, pretty funny.

  9. His ceiling is 6 to 7 games here with an improved defense.

Our offensive line wouldn't look as good protecting him nor would our run game.... things TT makes look a lot better then they really are, IMO.

    I think that's feasible.

Tyrod is a slightly below average QB. Why spend the time developing a young player who has a similar ceiling?

Broncos want Paxton Lynch to rise up and take the job. They don't see Siemian as the solution, why should we?

  10. I guess I'll start contributing to the offseason rabble and not just "I Miss my BBMB" ranting.

Siemian did some positive things in Denver, I watched most of the games, but I think the ceiling is really low. He's not a big guy, noodle arm, not very athletic, spotty accuracy, not great at reads. Yeah, he could continue to develop, but I just don't you've got an All Pro in the works . Kubiak was always great at getting the best out of QBs, and Siemian is no exception.

He did not have the running game or offensive line support that would aid a young QB, but he did have a defense that bailed out the offense numerous times and the best wide receiver duo in the league to throw to and didn't exactly torch any secondaries late in the season.

  11. Sums it up well.

Interesting seeing those guys names, haven't seem them in forever. Was terribly hard to keep up with those banned. Unless you saw they were banned in a current thread, couldn't keep up with those going.

Denver & Jelly both got banned. I got Jelly's number still, should see what he's up to. B Large didn't post there much after he moved to Maine to become a lumberjack or something.

  12. I could care less about losing my post history. It's not like I had a reputation, but it's just weird that the whole thing just went "POOF". Everything - gone.

I did meet a few dudes on there. Had a beer with DenverBill. Had several beers with B-Large. Climbed a mountain with JellyDonut. All solid guys. My experience was slightly different, but it was disappointing that for as active and spirited as the BBMB was, the community side of it was very, very lacking.

PLEASE tell me this place doesn't think Chad Kelly is the next messiah. I don't want to see those posts every day.

  13. Always been TheElectricCompany. Used BBMB for 10 years, started in Buffalo, then Rochester and have lived in Denver area for 5+ years. I couldn't drive a car when the Bills last made the playoffs. I fear death wings, but love hot wings. Fitz was a GUNSLINGER, Trent was Captain Checkdown, gimme Fitz all day. No - true - Ralph is the man!

I'm seeing some familiar names here, some unfamiliar, it's all good. I look forward to agreeing and disagreeing with each of you :o
