I heard he was calling Mr. Wilson "Wreck it Ralph" for a while...

There has been chatter about McCaffery going in the top 15, as well as Mixon being a early 2nd guy. Could be smoke and mirrors. McCaffery's only real con on tape is that he is a shifty elusive guy and will not run through guys, but that has never been his game and he will make people whiff big time, and longer term, that style is likely more sustainable in this league than a battering ram RB.
Browns have to go Garrett at #1. He is clearly the top prospect on the board by a large margin, and you can never have too many pass rushers. Are any of the QBs considered a top 15 player on any board? I'd say you should never reach that badly, but last year you had QBs go 1-2 and neither were top 15 guys.
If you want a QB that bad, just take the best one available at 12.

I miss Jasper. He represented everything good about this team to me and about 2 other people.
http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/130693-the-jasper-factor/
The old BBMB conversations about Jasper were hilarious.
Man, he had all sorts of "elite" attributes for a late rounder that never saw the field.
-
If Chad was a Bill, he'd be the most hyped late round pick / UDFA we've seen since Michael Jasper, so he'd at least have that going for him.
-
Then the question would be do you risk a top ten pick on a project that may develop into a quality starter?
I don't think you draft projects that high. Late 1st, early 2nd, which implies that immediate contributions aren't as necessary, I think that's a better fit.
This year there will be several immediate contributors at key positions of need available at 10, no need to reach.
-
Kizer is an interesting prospect, if you're patient with him and have time to groom him, he could develop nicely.
Right now, he's just too raw.
-
I don't see what people are getting so excited about Fournette for, he is solid but a generational talent? Heck this kid was HORRIBLE in some big games. Generational like Trich slow to the hole and only runs over lesser competition. Blah.
His style is becoming less and less common, the league would prefer more McCaffery types, but he is certainly an elite workhorse type back. Marshawn Lynch esque in his ability to just destroy linebackers and safeties.

Fake news! No red flags. The tape don't lie, he's a monster out there.
Be bizarre if he didn't go #1.
-
If Chad Kelly DIDN'T have any character issues, would he be considered as the best quarterback in the draft??
No.

The Marshawn/Buffalo thing has been way overthought.
He was just a young, hardheaded ghetto kid who was out on his own for the first time and thrust into a very white area.
When he thought he was going to NYC he was excited about the project so it had nothing to do with the coast.
It's strange, he was so anti-media in Seattle, but it was the opposite in Buffalo. He seemed like a pretty happy go lucky guy when he started his career here. I think the local vitriol he experienced in his third and fourth seasons, some of it stemming from legal issues, changed all that.

Threads like this that make me wonder if folks watch any games other than Bills games.

It makes you think that giving a lot of money to big guys might be a bad idea.
Good for them for drafting Williams even though it wasn't a major need. They could be in much worse shape.
You have lots of pass rushing DTs and 34 DEs making big money these days. Crazy how much that market has changed.
-
Two years ago they had quite the core. Mo Wilkerson, Sheldon Richardson, Snacks Harrison and Leonard Williams. Arguably the best defensive line combo in the league.
Fast forward to 2017. Mo got paid and immediately hit cruise control, Sheldon is a shell of himself, Snacks is off the team and Leonard is pretty good.
They really screwed the pooch on this one.
-
I think they are still in the discussion, but other teams in the NFC are rising while, at best, they are staying about the same.
They are staying the same with a borderline top 5 QB and one of the best defenses of our era.
Not exactly small time.

i don't think Seattle is a SB contender but that's imo
Huh? They have gone to two Super Bowls, won one, and been in the playoffs in each of the past 4 years.
Their outstanding defense is still intact. They have a top tier franchise QB.
On paper and with the old eye test, they are clearly going to be a club that will be a contender.
What am I missing here?

Lodo meetup for Colorado fans should be in order, I'll be there.
-
He was doing very well...went to the playoffs 3 years in a row, improving every year ( 1st round, divisional, AFC Championship )....then injuries kicked in....IMO, Luck is a hell of a talent.....
He's certainly a good QB, likely great, but I think he's overhyped at this point of his career, and not someone I'd consider a top 6-10 player.

Some men just want to watch the world burn.

They should be. Sherman in this D would be a better fit than keeping Gilmore.
I'll go on record now. If Whaley swings Sherman for less than a first rounder, I give him 2 years before I ask him to be fired again.
If Sherman could be had for a 2nd rounder, he'd be gone already.
-
It's not 2004. You are just naming guys. Unless you are saying that you already rate Falk and Browning over Trubisky and Mahomes?
Every year, someone raves about next years QB class, and every year it seems to fall short.
-
This guy looks more and more like a winner. All we do is win off-seasons.
Back to back offseason champs!
-
Based on his historical QB ratings , his 2015 MVP season was actualy more of the anomaly.
QB ratings are only part of the equation for Cam, you have to account for his ability to run the football. He holds the NFL records for TDs by QB. 3600 yards and 48 TDs in his career already.
6'6" and 245? It's like having a defensive end run around. There is no QB in the league that is better running downfield than Cam.
-
Andrew Luck is way too high. Has he consistently performed as a top 10 QB throughout his career? I don't think so.
Cam is a top 10 QB - no doubt about it, he just had an off year.
Those are the only glaring issues I have with this list.

Ok I am not for censorship at all... but can we close this thread. Chad Kelly is not coming here. The Bills are trying to prop him up as a favor to Jim Kelly. The Bills are not drafting him....case closed. The pressure on him would be to great and he is a jerk (that is 2 strikes)
The Bills want to prop him up so maybe the someone will take him and waste a pick or better yet, bait someone to trade up for him with Bills Pick in the 5th round (strike 3... not coming here)... But really is it clear to me he is going to Cleveland in the 6th.
I approve of this message!
Chad Ocho Cinco could use a QB in the Mexican Football League, Chad be great down there.

While I won't paint with a broad stroke and say his "ghetto" personality clashed with "suburban white folks", I think it came down to trust.
Marshawn has always been huge on this. If he respects you, enjoys your company, trusts your friendship, he will do anything for you. If that trust is violated, you are dead to him I think he felt trust was violated following his first two years and was publicly never the same. When local cops are busting your balls for playing loud music at the music and about having pit bulls, local media is writing scathing articles about you and the fans are telling you to "hit the bricks", it's not surprising why he has changed.
