  1. As a Hawkeye fan that has watched every one of his games, I would love to see Coop as a Bill. He’s a total baller. The kind of guy that can do anything a team asks of him and do it at a very high level. That Iowa defense was really, really good this year and he still stood out.

Another guy who stands out is Castro. Not sure he will go pro, but he is a safety in the mold of a Poyer. A former Mr Illinois that’s a super willing tackler.

  2. How does he stack up in terms of receptions?

Edit: Would also be good to see receptions per target.

It seems like those two might be where he has done fairly well this season? Were they left out intentionally?

  3. When McD was the DC in Carolina, they had a complete refresh of the DB’s that did not go so well. It coincided with Norman’s exit, I believe.

I seem to recall McD being asked about it early on during his Bills’ tenure. He made a remark that he felt the lack of continuity of leadership in the position group hurt more than he had anticipated.

With that in mind, I could see the Bills hanging onto one of Hyde or Poyer for at least one additional season. I have a hard time seeing how both will be back, however. That pairing has, unfortunately, run its course.

What you are seeing is the WR checking to see if he’s lined up incorrectly so as to be ‘covering up’ the TE or other WR. He’s not checking to see if he’s over the line of scrimmage. The penalty he’s trying to avoid is illegal formation….not offside.

I wasn’t clear. I have seen them line up Offside only to check with the ref and have the ref give that little hand signal.

The WR is looking over to the ref for the exact reason you highlighted, but I have seen the exchange occur because of the WR’s initial mistake. It wasn’t the intent, but it happens.

  5. I seem to recall seeing on broadcasts several instances (over like 20 years) where the WR looks to the sideline and the ref gives him a subtle wave of the hand that conveys a message of “back up a step” to get the WR back onside. If Toney had just bothered to look, he likely would have received the same courtesy. It was Toney’s mistake.

He got lucky last night. Tried to piss the game away again, but got bailed out.

Not kicking a FG before the end of the 1st half.

Horrible clock management and play calls to close out the game.

We were set up to salvage defeat from the jaws of victory again.

I have no confidence in this coaching staff or team to win close games.

Are you referring to the offensive play calls on the Bills’ final drive?

generally Mahomes is one classiest players in league but what a classless B word there. Go Bills

Easy to be classy when one is winning.

I am curious how Mahomes would handle significant adversity. I seriously think he could blow up in a very negative way. It’s just a hunch is all.

I can’t recall Brady ever doing anything like that then going on and on in the postgame presser about it…I can’t remember any qb doing this honestly

You know what… you’re right! Mahomes might just end up being more annoying.
