As stated, it’s a bill that will overwhelmingly affect the rural MAGA poor. The “I told you so” will be astronomical. For example, this town was a Trump +74 vote. They can get exactly what they voted for. Do you want to compete with China? They’re kicking our ass in green technology. We should be dumping trillions into that sector. Biden did!

That’s some very weird projection but okay. No American citizen should have to work in wretched and dangerous factories in the modern era. It’s not some kind of noble profession, it’s pitiful, backbreaking work. Strive to improve society.
-
It’s called “empathy” Theres no reason a first world nation should have people working in filthy, decrepit factories making asbestos
-
Not in manufacturing, as evidenced by the continued decline in jobs in that sector. We should be striving for better jobs than sweaty, miserable, dangerous work in the smelting yards.
-
All this just to remove brown people from the country. Really astonishing stuff. Oh well. The people this affects the most - the MAGA rurals - will hopefully figure it out as they gasp out their last breaths on a street corner somewhere because their rural hospital closed. They are if they don’t want the MAGA crowd to cancel them

The government can purchase whatever equipment or subscriptions it needs to help its workers do their job. I’m sorry that is a difficult concept for you. If I had my APA membership removed, I would be less informed and be a worse planner for it. Why should we prop up dead industries like tin manufacturing when other counties can do it for us cheaper?
-
It’s an inane question. If people are informed, they do their jobs better. If they are not informed, they do their jobs worse. You didn’t even know Politico Pro existed before you were programmed to be against it. Why?
-
It’s functioning because we built a robust government infrastructure over decades. However, it is certainly less efficient and informed because you didn’t want to pay 0.000005 cents to give these employees the data. Sorry you’re so poor.
-
If they are working here, yes they should have access to healthcare. There’s absolutely no reason not to. This notion of “29 year olds in mom’s basement playing video games all day” is a complete strawman you guys have made up. It doesn’t happen. They’re fleeing it because it’s simply not affordable to live. When the median house in California is over $700,000, then it’s no surprise people are leaving it. Nearly every single prominent American metropolis is blue.
-
Most of those jobs are obsolete. We need to get better at solar, microchips, and other high tech. We don’t need investment in tin can factories This is like taking away Bloomberg terminals from stockbrokers
-
What is your way forward? I think giving employees the tools to do their jobs correctly is a good thing, actually
-
Then transition them to high-tech manufacturing in sectors like batteries. Oh wait. MAGA hates that.
-
Why is that a “win” to you? I don’t particularly care about manufacturing jobs, because it’s not 1951 anymore. I mention it because of the MAGA obsession with returning to brutal factory jobs.
-
This looks nice on first glance, but the vast majority of jobs were added in the government, healthcare and service sectors. Aka, the sectors about to be devastated by OBBB. Also manufacturing still hasn’t grown, despite MAGA efforts.

So…not “illegals” then. Thanks for admitting your defeat at least.
