  1. This would be a blow to Russia, especially if Armenia decides to put in for NATO
  2. They’re moving the goalposts on that too
  3. It’s almost like there’s a correlation to living in poverty and crime! Wow! I agree with your second point, and will add that there are often extra expenses in opening in poor areas (insurance requirements are a big one). That’s why government grants and financing are important to help offset these costs. Five Points in Buffalo was a drug-filled hovel before investment, and now it’s a thriving neighborhood. I ignored your “point” about the Democrat homes because it’s not remotely the same thing.
  4. Businesses are lax to invest in poor areas, yes. At least, businesses that provide good jobs. Now you see why it’s a complicated issue!
  5. No way, never stop fighting! The GOP has weaponized the Justice Department!!!! They’re coming for every God-fearing American who wants to smoke crack and buy a gun!!!
  6. You guys really honest-to-god still think it’s 1820 and all you have to do is build a log cabin, huh?
  7. He showed his true potential against Kansas City in 2015, IMO:
  8. Fine, but how will this address poor housing, inadequate access to healthy food, complete asymmetry in the educational system, crumbling infrastructure, lack of medical care....
  9. I hope Isabella makes the team for no other reason than my wife's name is Isabella and I got her his jersey last year lol
  10. Jared Polis
  11. This is still moving the goalposts, but let's try this - what policies would YOU propose that would improve inner cities?
  12. How is it NIMBYism when I literally support migrant housing in Buffalo?
  13. It’s really astonishing how you stick to this “”””argument”””””
  14. Oh for Pete’s sake. You want me to name every single city improvement? You’d probably move the goalposts then, too. Name one inner city the GOP has improved and through what policy. Some of us take pride in our jobs.
  15. I am married! We wouldn’t be looking at a new build, more like a first-ring suburb or a more urbanized village.
  16. Im telling you people, endless suburban sprawl is not sustainable!!
  17. Our policies are designed for incremental steady improvement, as with the link about Detroit I already posted. Your policies dont even try to address the problems. The Black Caucus overwhelmingly supported Clinton’s 1993 crime bill. Don’t see how the GOP will fix incarceration problems as their platform is literally “more prisons more prisoners we will be draconian on crime”
  18. Spot on. I especially hate the default tip screen on the Toast registers that make you add an extra 20% when all they did was turn around and pour a coffee in a cup.
  19. We try and we succeed. Republicans do not. So it goes.
  20. See that’s interesting, I did not once mention race. I said “boy” on the east side of Buffalo. As in, poverty transcends race. And, as in, republicans have no clue how to deal with it.
  21. Almost like changing generational poverty will take more than a few years If that’s what you get from what I said, you’re not worth the effort
  22. Detroit has significantly improved and is a model of urban resurgence https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2023/06/struggling-cities-should-look-to-detroit-for-lessons-on-revival/
  23. Investment into the community that has been left out of it. Please explain how a 10-year old boy on the east side of Buffalo, neither of whose parents finished high school, living in a crumbling 1880s worker cottage off Doat Street, will have the same shot at success as a 10 year old boy living in Williamsville.
