It’ll get overlooked……people will still refer to him as a rapist…..once your labeled it’s no shaking it even if your found innocent.

    Unfortunately this so true.

You make a lot of valid and not untrue statements here but I feel like there is another train of thought that proves differently.

We have seen teams like the Jets and Dolphins for YEARS throw rosters together with elite free agents. Seems like every big name FA is linked to or signs with one of them. They have elite players...but are not elite as a team. It's a bunch of great players that don't compliment each other with a huge revolving door both at the player level and coaching level. There is a lack of on field leadership and team chemistry which leads to being mediocre. We saw the same thing here in Buffalo under Whaley. Added good players be it a fit or not.

The Bills on the other hand have a lot of good players that form to make a great team. Hyde and Poyer are an excellent example of this. On their own I don't know if either reaches the heights they have together. It's that way in a lot of the position rooms. Yes, the team has holes and needs upgrades. But they guys they do have are close and their skillset compliments each other well. That bring them up some levels in my opinion. The pieces put in place here for the most part fit what we do and that makes the machine run smoother so to speak.

Good post. Yes the way the pieces fit together is very important. My original post was that I felt with the addition of a legitimate quarterback the Jets my be favorite in our division. Didn't mean that as a put down of the Bills at all. Miami and the Jets have made themselves legitimate contenders. Frankly I, at this moment in time, think the Jets have a better defense than ours. With the addition of Rogers unless he has lost more of his game than I think they'll be tough this year. I also stand by my statement that we're a good to very good team but not an elite team as the poster claimed.

We looked like an elite team the first half of the season.  Not the second half.  Wonder which Bills squad shows up this season.

I have been a fan since the  Bills inception in the old AFL. They are my team but I try to be objective. I think we have three players at this time who I would maybe say are elite. Maybe. That does not constitute an elite "team" in my opinion. We have holes in our offensive line. A very limited running game which puts pressure on the passing (Diggs/Josh) game. Our defense is also very good but not elite. So, we have a good-very good team. We saw both in the two halves of last season. I also think this assessment applies to the overall assessment of the franchise. Very good not elite.

Why? The Bills won 13 games last year and lost 3 by a combined 8 points. This team is elite. Jets have proven nothing and Rodgers is 40 years old coming off a down year.

They are a much better team, but crowning them is extremely premature

Disagree, but that's alright. We're a very good team but not elite. Jets very good as well now with a quarterback. Better defensively than us in my opinion. We'll see.

The Jets just got a lot better. The division is going to be tough.

I predict a real horse race between Bills,Miami and Jets. At this moment I think Jets will get edge favorite to start season. Go Bills!

No. But, what kind of message does it send when players with domestic violent and assault charges receive less punishment

Risk to the game and league vs something that is a question of a persons personal conduct. Agree with you gambling vs domestic abuse in general is not as serious offense. One is against the law for good reason.

Yes, that bothered me as well. How can you talk about working for home field advantage and have that happen? If you can't get snow right in Buffalo, it's no bueno.

Weather in Buffalo helping us I think is largely a myth. Bad weather negatively effects both teams all else being equal. Players for or against play in the same conditions. Frankly I think fans have more effect playing at home than snow does as far as advantages go.

  8. He was underappreciated I think. Wish him well and with a decent OLine he will. We need to draft well and hope some moves are made to upgrade because right now this team has downgraded and other division teams have improved.

I was ecstatic to have him back.  I kind of look at him as this team's Kyle Williams.  Both great leaders.  Both hard workers.  Both very good players.

I split my time between Atlanta and Fort Lauderdale.  The weather in S Florida is ridiculous.  Sunny and warm almost every day.  It was unseasonably cold on Christmas this year.  Did not get over 50.  But that was an anomoly.  It was near 90 last Saturday.

My business is in Georgia.  So I do have to pay state taxes.

For me.....too hot in Florida and I don't like crawling slithering things. Guess I'm just a northeast guy.

I give Mahomes plenty of credit. He is a great QB and right now the best in the game. But Mahomes has one of the best OL's in the league with Allen having one of the worst. Josh deserves some blame here. He does turnover the ball over to much and he needs to clean up that part of his game. But at the same he is running for his life on many plays because of a weak OL. A better OL and Josh trying not to play "hero ball" as much as he does will help cut down on the turnovers.

Mahomes #1, Josh #2 but it's close. Josh needs to take care of the ball better.
