Not much the Texans can do with him .

Now there's a bad idea for a B movie.  QB with all sorts of baggage goes on the run to avoid assassins.  The assassins are secretly in the employ of the team, who hold a big insurance policy on the QB, with  a 'double indemnity' clause. 🤔

Brayton Wilson is heading to WBEN.

There's now a Producer opening.  Which one of you have a radio voice and can talk somewhat intelligently?

Bring back Greg Bauch!  He was the glue and wit that made Shtupp and the Bulldog listenable in his era.  His 'Greg Buck' character was good; it's regrettable that you can no longer find the 'Tim Tebow' routine online.  Unfortunately, a cart boy at the supermarket probably earns more than the producer position pays.

"No" to cotton.  "Cotton is rotten".    If you wish 2 layers of socks, both wool IMO.

Make sure your boots aren't tight with whatever quantities and qualities of socks you wear.  Loose boots that allow your feet to move are good.  Chemical toe and handwarmers work well.

Amen to the bolded.  Cotton lacks the ability to 'wick' away the moisture that invariably will be generated. As an outer layer you may be OK with cotton, but keep silk, wools, and wicking synthetics (waffle weaves work well) as the base layers.  This includes socks.

He got a 5 YEAR deal, which will continue to pay him until he is 70. This is basically his retirement plan. He's fine.

That's not accurate. He was actually a head coach in college for six years at Cal and William and Mary, and immediately prior to being hired by the Chiefs as HC coach in 1978, he had served as the head coach of the Montreal Alouettes throughout the mid-1970s, where he won 3 Grey Cups. He was ST coach under George Allen for about 3 years in the early 1970s.

I wonder if there's an 'exchange factor' that needs to be worked into that observation. 🤔 One less offensive 'down', but you do get a 52 yard line...twice! 😁

No. I'd can him. Nice guy, done a nice job in keeping the ship together. But some of his coaching decisions have been a little odd and I am not sure without the power of fighting against adversity as a motivation he is really the guy I want to turn over control of my franchise to.

Can anyone name the biggest difference between Art Modell and Ralph? Anyone???

Ralph Wilson would make noise about leaving with the team; I sincerely doubt he would have.  Modell skulked out of town in the dead of night after saying he wasn't leaving.  Quite a few local newscasts from Cleveland still have footage on YouTube over that.

Ralph was a key figure in building the league. He was risking money when there was nothing and no hope for the league. You have to remember that Ralph and the other 7 owners were called the Foolish Club because nobody thought the AFL could succeed. Ralph even had to bail other clubs out when they ran out of money just to keep the league alive.
