Glad we just paid Glenn $12mil/year. He would literally be making 2x as much as the next highest paid RT.
No he wouldnt. Go check Lane Johnsons contract.
And what does it matter. Kujo would he making half of what LT make once re-signed
If you are going with your top 5 it should be this.
LT - Kujo
LG - Richie
C - Wood
RG -Miller
RT- Glenn

Ground and Pound still.
I find it really funny Roman got fired because he implemented the exact offense Rex Ryan Wants.
Guess thats what happens when Rex goes into full CYA mode

The same Kizer who's currently 1-2 at Notre Dame? No thanks
Yeah that has nothing to do with QB play. I would suggest watching him sometime.
-
Get er dun. He throws over the middle a lot better than our 92 million dollar lemon.
I would not mind him in the 2nd if the draft was tomorrow. Still has work to do to this year to get in 1st round IMO
-
All over college football. Offense comes to the line, defense gets set and everyone looks at the sideline for the adjustment, call or audible.
Not in Notre Dame. Kizer does that.
The I told you so is bush league
and....its been 2 games
It has an his same issues exist
Will only throw the alley
Misses open reads
Sees ghost pressure
Will not throw with anticipation
Inaccurate short and intermediate routes
Dantonio is just so predictable.

I just dont get how anyone can watch Kizer play, know how much is put on him to run this offense and not be impressed.
He just has icewater in his veins
-
Kizer is not a franchise QB. Watch ND vs Michigan St today and you will see.
Have been watching it.
So explain the issues seeing your the one saying he is not a Franchise QB
-
I just got back from Buffalo Wild Wings where I was watching him. It was only a small sample, but he didn't look real impressive.
What didnt you like in what you watched?
-
He is playing very well. He cant really help the fact the defense just realized they are in a football game.
-
Kizer is garbage. Lamar Jackson is fun to watch, but I'm not sure he would make a good NFL QB. The Bills will have their highest draft pick in years and all for what? Not one franchise type QB in next years draft. How typical.
There is easily 3 top end QBs right now.
Kizer
Watson
Kaaya

I want Lamar Jackson
Here is what Matt Miller said about him this week.
Louisvilles Lamar Jackson looks like a legit Heisman candidate as a true sophomore, but do NFL teams see the dual-threat quarterback as a pro quarterback? I asked three NFL scouts who handle the Louisville area what Jackson looks like to them. All three responded that theyre listing him as a quarterback but noted that hes not draft-eligible until 2018.
Jacksons body is more of a wide receiver build, but his explosive and exciting playmaking skills will turn heads at the quarterback position. My take: Jackson has to become more accurate and add weight to be considered an elite quarterback prospect.
keep telling yourself that
Learn something
When Hodges stepped in as a fifth-year transfer, Taaffe ran a two-back system. It is what he calls "home base" for UCF. Under Godfrey, the Knights were a pistol, read-option team. By Bortles' junior year, UCF was a spread, pass-heavy offense.
keep telling yourself that, just because you have spread elements doesn't make you spread. I would run the option with him too because the guy is a beast
Keep back peddling this is too easy
-
UCF did not when Borltes was there, their coach George O'Leary was an old school NFL guy who ran a pro-system. I watched Bortles his junior and senior yr and they were not spread.
Did you watch UCF Once. Or just going by what you think. I can tell you exactly they ran spread and read option.

I'd take Lamar Jackson over Kizer.
Have not seen Lamar Jackson so I wont comment
-
And for the record i was over on BBMB all last year trying to calm people down about Tyrod. No one wanted to listen. Looks like i was right though.
-
Bortles was not spread . took Cam 5 yrs, Rogers sat for 3 yrs, Mariota is not established yet, Only saw Carr once so didn't have opiniom of him.
look I'm not saying never draft one just that it is normally going to take yrs if ever for them to make it. Look at TT six yrs in the League and the guy still can't read defense. We don't need athletes with big arms we need players who can learn the NFL game, can Kizer do it who knows but I would rather take my chances on a guy who has been trained in the pro game like Wentz.
So you are comparing a 6th round pick in TT to Wentz.
Kizer makes reads, has good mechanics, accurate, changes play because of his defensive recognition. So he does everything you are talking about.

Bortles was a spread. He ran Spread and Read option at his High School Oviedo High just down the road from where i live watched every one of his home HS games.
Went to UCF and there the ran Read Option spread, but also ran some under center it was called everything under the kitchen sink offense. Again season ticket holder at UCF.

I really like Matt Patricia DC from NE.
Also like idea of Kevin Sumlin from college.

I am wondering why Rex hasn't announced that he is taking over the offensive duties. He is the boss. If he fires a guy for lousy performance and wants to fix things, why doesn't he fix them? I have a strong suspicion that he knows (better than Roman did) how to get production from Tyrod. And he could easily have his bro running the defense.
Rex has no idea about an offense. What just happened with firing Roman is exactly Rex MO. Fire OC, he has done it now like 4 times. Anything to take eyes off his failures

Cam?
Mariota?
Carr?
Rodgers?
For each non spread success i can find one.
Yeah dog me because i am new here. Big deal here cause i was banned from BBMB for calling out coaching
BBMB is the land of cheerleaders, unicorns and rainbows. Welcome to a place where you can find much better discussion.
Appreciate it.
Worse series accuracy wise I have seen from him all year.
-
I have not watched Kelly at all this year. Hoping to catch a couple games i want to see if he has improved from last year.
-
because you know me, whatever proby
Yeah, guess which QBs where misses, ALL the spread QBs. Luck, Bortles, and Wentz are just fine. Tannehill who was spread and he has been ok maybe now after 5 yrs he will excel.

Ooo also you know Bortles was a spread QB too right, but i bet you knew that.

the college spread is a one read and throw offense THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN IN THE NFL. This why Spread QBs struggle way more than Kids who come out of pro style system, which is why Wentz is already ahead of the game. Just because one goes 4 or 5 wide in the NFL does not mean it is the COLLEGE SPREAD, where they have no clue how to read a defense, make audibles and progressions.
guess you are not the smartest man in the room
So in other words you really think Brian Kellys offense is a 1 read and throe Spread.
Rank your college QBs can wait to see that pearl
-
That was a beautiful ball and likely should have been caught
-
just keep rooting for those spread QBs, I'm sure Kizer is making a ton of audibles and pre snap reads in the spread
So you mean just about every College QB. Man heck NFL has a ton of spread concepts just not in Buffalo with its 1970s offense
To be any good TT has to make plays with his legs

So he is a RB with an Arm.
He needs to improve Big Time or I would not have him on this team next year and no way has he played well enough to show that he has imrpoved
