It might be both, I just don't think it's very likely.
Neither White or Jones appear to have much upside. Neither is an elite athlete, and Jones scouting reports flat out tell you he struggles to separate and doesn't stretch the field vertically.
Exactly.
Anytime you just look at your holes and try to plug them you're moving backwards. Very rarely are the rookies you add better than the guys you lost.
I don't see how you can look at this roster and argue they're any better than last year.
Replacing established vets with rookies is never an even swap.
The Bills are just plugging holes rather than looking at the big picture and trying to figure out who is going to help us the most in 5 years.
The Bills draft, and offseason, don't appear to make much sense.
Lose Gilmore - draft White in the 1st round
Lose Woods - draft Jones in the 2nd round
We're just spinning our tires in the mud.
We gave up our 3rd round pick, which could land us a good player, for a 5th round pick which is less likely to land us a good player.
This was a stupid trade. Read the scouting report on this guy and I don't get it. We drafted a guy who can't separate or stretch the field.
DB is super deep at both CB and S so I don't see why anyone would reach for a position where there will be good guys available in the next round.
More likely the offensive linemen get picked up because Robinson and Lamp there's a massive drop off in talent.
Yeah, Cunningham is a plug and play 3 down linebacker who will never come off the field.
To match up with New England's backs and slot receivers, we need a guy with his physical tools who can run and cover.
The Bills can go in a ton of different directions.
WR, S, RT, DT, DE, QB.
My guess is we pick Zach Cunningham. We desperately need a 3-down linebacker who can run and cover.
We can target WR and S in round 3.
The Bills should have drafted TJ Watt and then grabbed a CB next.
I think we really missed an opportunity with Watt. He and Bud Dupree are going to form a fearsome pass rush in Pittsburgh.
