  1. Looking for tickets to Miami game and seeing the same thing at fairly high prices.  I see they only accept mobile tickets now and recommend you put them in your phone's wallet.  Its been a while for me going to a home game, so hoping for a good experience as I'll be driving up from Cleveland area.  Any help on ticket sites and availability is appreciated.

  2. This goes back a ways, but in the 60s the Browns were the NFL team in the area.  My son in law is a big Browns fan and now that I live in the area I am starting to enjoy watching them come out of the lousy years.  A few years back I went to a Browns Bills game and tailgated.  Fans saw my Bills gear and said we don't mind you guys, we hate the Steelers.

My son and grandson are Dolphins fans and my brother is a Bucs fan.  If they aren't playing us I root for them.

  3. Not sure what the strategy would be.  I suppose if you have already clinch you could rest your best players in week 17 and treat it like an exhibition game.  If you need that win or your opponent is also vying for position, could be an interesting dilemma for the coaches.  December could be an interesting month.  Another reason for signing Trubisky.

On the flip side of this thread is one of the most surprising wins in Bills history was in 1984. 14-3 over Dallas. The Bills should win this week. I don't think they will be looking ahead to NE but 1984 Bills vs Cowboys is proof anything can happen.

Bills were more than terrible that year and hadn't won a game yet.  I was living in Miami at the time and my son was a Dolphins fan.  We were at a Company party at Orange bowl that day and when I heard the score I couldn't believe it.  About the only good Bills game that year.

Me too.  He probably pissed somebody (maybe a lot of people) off back in the day.

I find the Football HOF voting too biased that way -- guys who are in the club get in and the outliers don't make the cut.  Guys on national broadcasts like Cowher and Johnson are in the club.  I don't know if anyone actually dislikes Tasker but neither can I see who his in-the-club buddies are.

BTW, my favorite Karras line from when he was on MNF:  Cosell was going on too long about what a great blocker some RB or WR was, so Karras says, "if he's such a good blocker why don't they stick a 63 on his back and. make him a guard?"

Karras was a favorite of mine when he played for Detroit, but he got in trouble for gambling and was suspended in 1963.  That's probably why it took so long for him to get in.

I love that everyone is sleeping on Chase Claypool. I hope every executive is as well, except for ours. He is 6'5" just like Mike Evans, has the same exact body type as Mike Evans, will put up similar numbers at the combine as Mike Evans, and is one of the most underrated WR prospects in this draft. He has excellent body control, can jump over defenders to highpoint the ball, has excellent hands, runs a solid route tree for a guy his size, has deceptive speed, and is good with the ball in his hands after the catch for a big guy.

I've been wondering about that too.  I watched Notre Dame every week and he always seems to make the tough catches over people.  I'd love to see him on the Bills.

The Bills are 4-4 against the Browns since they were reconstituted in 1999. They have won the last two in convincing fashion (both in Buffalo, in 2014 and 2016), and are 0-2 at Cleveland (the 8-0 snowstorm in 2007 loss and the Monday night loss in 2013 when Jeff Tuel came in for an injured Manuel and threw a pick six that basically cost them the game).

I was at the game in Cleveland when the Bills won in 2012 when my daughter's boyfriend and family invited me to join them for tailgating.    I remember hundreds of Bills fans in town for that game.  I remember Cleveland fans were quite nice to me and most said they only cared about beating the Steelers. Fitzpatrick was the QB and Tashard Choice was the leading rusher in that game.  Most Cleveland fans left early because it was cold and rainy.

  8. I was at the game as well and we left because it started snowing and game seemed out of reach.  We heard the crowd roar and tried to turn around as we were walking to our car outside Rich, but too late.  It would have been my first live look at a "Hail Mary"  Fergy rightfully deserves praise for his abilities and that was a great demonstration of what he could do.  I think some of his heroics are overshadowed by blunders at critical times.  Not sure how I would rank him as Bills QB but probably 3rd after Kelly and Lamonica.

  9. I'd rather think about blow out losses with Josh at QB.  Don't remember offhand, but most of his losses last year were close games.  I like under the radar Bills.  Hopefully we can get a good start to the season and roll on.  It isn't impossible to win the division if we play like we did in 2017 and catch a few breaks.

  10. I remember Jack from his playing days and Washington, DC.  I never had the chance to meet him, but always admired his compassion for working people.  A true class act that Washington needs these days.  This may be nostalgic thinking, but things used to be better in those days.

  11. I was actually an NFL fan in the 60s watching a lot of Browns games on local TV.  My older brother was a Bills fan, but I really didn't become a big fan until I moved to Buffalo in 1977. I went to several games in those years as ticket prices were cheap and the stadium was a lot of fun.  When they started winning in 1980, I was hooked.   I also became a Sabres fan around the same time.  I moved away from Buffalo in 1983 and never lost my love for the Bills and Sabres.  I love following my team on this site although I don't post much.

  12. I lived in Miami when Marino was king.  My son adopted them, but I hated them.

I lived in DC when Redskins won two of their three superbowls.  I rooted for them the first time when they beat Denver, then we lost to them and I hated all the obnoxious skins fans.

I lived in Chicago when the Bulls were great and the Bears were not, so didn't really root one way or the other.

Moved to New England in early 2001 just in time for Superbowl run.  I was OK when they won the first time, but really hated them after that.

Now I'm in SC where the local teams are all several hours away.  Its been tough being a Bills fan, but I usually meet fans who moved here and are still fiercely loyal.
