  1. So does anyone know where we are on signing him? He was here, he was in Kentucky for the derby and recruited hard by Woods and that's all I got. Jacksonville seems like the best fit if he wants to be a #1 TE and seems to be where he is heading.
  2. We do have a small window. I can see how that could be true. The problem with this team is we have so rarely bottomed out to truly rebuild and the times we do, its not far enough or the best QB available is EJ Manuel. Anyways, no I don't think we should give Tyrod Taylor a big contract right now. It's desperation to keep talent, out of fear of losing talent, because you're desperate. I'd rather risk not paying Taylor on the off chance he leaves and pay him more. It's far less riskier than overpaying him right now and he regresses, or just does not get better. That Fitzpatrick contract burned us, and frankly I wish we kept him. I like Tyrod and I think he is good. However, he's not THAT good and we only have a 1 year look at a career backup, 6th round pick, in an offense designed to limit his vulnerabilities. We're not dealing with Andrew Luck or Cam Newton here. No, we should not pay him and yes, we should try to draft a QB in the 1st or 2nd round. We should keep doing that until we have the guy, because we're never going to get over the hump in Tom Brady's division otherwise. We get a good enough quarterback and a good offense around here, I'm ok with an average defense. Buffalo wants to be the Carolina Panthers, but we can't do it with a poor man's Cam Newton.
  3. Has there ever been a fan effort to try and get OJ's name removed from Ralph Wilson stadium? There really should be. With an exasperated sigh, I acknowledge he was great on the field and I know our heroes on the field are not always heroes off the field. It's entertainment and he entertained. That's great, but does anyone talk about him as one of our All Time Greats with friends when we explain why we are Bills fans? Or are we ashamed our team was ever associated with him? I mean, look at Ray Rice. He won a Super Bowl ring with the Ravens and was one of their all time best running backs I bet. An elite player in the league. He also knocked out his fiance with a haymaker on an elevator. Do you think they are going to put his name on their Wall of Fame? No. Well, maybe. I mean, Ray Lewis certainly will be. I'd like to think we are a classier team then the Ravens! Anyways, his reprehensible name will probably stay up there for now. When we get a new stadium, and we will, I don't think he should be included there. I don't want to buy a seat that is overlooked by the name of a felon, an abuser and a murderer (according to a Civil Court ruling, alas..). Playing professional sports for ridiculous money and fame is a privilege. Being remembered long after that is the privilege of privileges. Do we, as fans, think he deserves that?
  4. It's too bad Henderson has that disease, truly. However, this team needs to win. Keep him if he can keep up, but who knows what his availability is going to be? Best to get a new RT, or hope Kuandijo can live up to expectations as a 2nd round pick and take over the job. I like Henderson, as he seems to have LT agility but on the right side of the field.
  5. If he did, it couldn't happen to a nicer guy. While I love going to Bills games, I am ashamed we have OJ Simpson's name up on the Ring of Honor / Wall of Fame and I think Pegula should take it down. I don't care what he did, he probably killed two people, wrote a book about how if he did, this was how and is serving time for felony kidnapping becomes someone had his sports memorabilia. He is not someone I think this franchise should be associated with. It would be like having Darren Sharper's name on the Ring. I don't care what his on field accomplishments are, there is a point where what you do off the field becomes your legacy and it is not the legacy the future should be associated with.
  6. The Las Vegas Raiders has a nice ring to it. With the Rams in Los Angeles now, there are just too many teams in California. That being said, with all the gambling that takes places in Las Vegas, would that be an issue when locating an NFL franchise there? It's deserving of an NFL franchise far more than Oakland, which is known for...um, what exactly?
