That was a crazy catch. Great throw by Dalton….. Dalton still the 3rd best Bills QB of all time.

I don’t think Butler makes it. That screen, Butler was on the 3-tech and Zimmer the 1. They recognized it at the same time, Zimmer was further away, but still blew past Butler to make the play
Yeah, I really hope it's Star, Harry, Oliver and Zimmer as our 4.

Anyone else appreciate these announcers compared to last week?

Nice 1st Quarter.
That starting D line looked really damn good again. I know the Bears oline is not good (it is worse than Detroit's) but they were impressive.
And that is without Hughes and Star too, which seems really promising for us.

Rut roh. Who’s the other option, Stevenson, Powell?
Someone who is getting cut from another team

Thank goodness it is preseason

This Eagles broadcast kicks the poo out of the Detroit crew last week. I can't remember how good/bad the Chicago broadcasters were last week, but hopefully they aren't DET bad.
They were pretty good, they definitely had a CHI lean but they talked about Tua and other MIA players too.

What in the world was the penalty at the end of the quarter? They called #94 with leading with the helmet against rushing the OT.
To be fair that's Henry Anderson who I'd be happy with getting a penalty flag every play.

That snap to Flacco was meant for the upper deck.
Center doing his best Pittsburgh playoff impression.

Something I noticed during the preseason game was a line of Rousseau, AJ, Oliver and Phillips and it makes me wonder if McD is seeing how the four look together because that could be our starting line 2 years from now.
With how Phillips is being reported, I have to think he has a spot locked down.

Kind of crazy to think about what the state of the team would be if Levi didn't decide he really wanted to be back here this year. Maybe they'd draft a CB or something, but the idea of having the same team without him is not a pleasant one to think about.

Covid can be a long haul recovery. Hopful this is not the case for the Shnowman. Worried that it might.
This worries me too. In a game of milliseconds I don't want our LT to have even something like brain fog (long haul symptom) for the next month or two.

I haven't been watching the whole game, but it seems like Mia has a few good returners. Perhaps something to keep an eye on during cut day.

Tua is interesting, it seems like he will have to succeed in the NFL despite his limitations. Maybe he can be the next Chad Pennington or something.

Your suggesting they couldn’t afford a quality CB?
They absolutely could. To this point they’ve opted to go in house. If they remain status quo it will hurt them come playoff time, I don’t think there is any doubt.
I’d almost like to cut Addison in favor of Bam Johnson..... Addison is yet another overvalued ex Panther.
Considering Addison was inactive that seems unlikely though.

That wasn't the line. When those four were in left to right Hart was at RT not Doyle. Doyle only came in after Ford and Ike were done for the night. Did Bates go to tackle at some point? I thought he stayed inside. He looked good early in the run game. Not sure his pass pro is quite as clean.
You're correct.
First line of offense.
Brown, Ike, Bates, Ford, Hart. Watching the replays Hart looks like the weak link though I do remember the TFL on the stretch play to the left being on Brown. That being said, Simon made a point how our play call simply wasn't good anyways.

That's a fair point, and a lot of us couldn't tell who was on the line last night anyways. When I rewatched the highlights I did notice that Ike and Ford were the guards, but I will look again.

For a Big Turk you sure laid a Big Turd with this thread.
It seems like a "didn't watch the whole game" type of take.

From my uniformed eye I thought Bates had a good night at center and a bad night at tackle.
I thought the line combo of brown, ike, bates, ford and doyle were mostly good with the three interior doing the best. It makes me wonder how our rookie tackles would do next to our top lineman in a real game.

Players who didn't play by my count (Top end players)
Allen
Moss (Injured)
Diggs, Beas, Sanders (injured?)
Dawkins, Morse, Feliciano, Williams
Hughes, Addison

Am I missing anyone or forgetting anything?

GB hsa to go to Bass for two clutch kicks....This guy is GOLD
He was on the field a lot, actually. It looked like he was able to get a decent amount of pressure.

Brutal clock management once again by McClappy.
How do you leave time on the clock there?
Perhaps he doesn't think how we think and he is less concerned about winning. Maybe he wants to try different things in certain game situations, you know, being that this is preseason and all.

Wow they couldn't wait to switch to Dallas.
Probably were as tired of listening to the announcers as we were.

Yeah and they are miles better than the announcing crew last week in Detroit.
