  1. How can any sit here and honestly say it is a good idea to pay MG that money especially after looking at last years draft?

Top 2 RB in league yards were rookies (one being a 5th round pick).

Kelley went undrafted and put up 700 yards and 6 TDs.

Booker picked up 600 yards and 4 TDs. (Drafted 4th round).

Both Raiders rookies (5th round, undrafted) were productive last year.

These guys are plug and play in todays NFL. Let Williams and some rookies (5th round and undrafted) compete for peanuts.

  2. There is more and more talk of Christian McCaffrey going high (top 10). I think he may be a pick that the Bills make and no one expects it, but makes complete sense. Both the Bills FA WR pick ups that will contribute next year (Holmes and Philly Brown) are outside WR. The Bills are still lacking that shifting slot WR and with the way Dennison has described his offense (roll outs and play actions), it is a need. They has been some chatter that teams are seeing McCaffrey as someone that can play that role really well. Not to mention he can also run the ball. With Gilly probably gone, McCaffrey could run the ball 5-6 times a game, and then play the slot in 3 WR sets. You would get much more impact from him then just a typical outside WR.

  3. I was really against Trubisky in December. I just thought he came out of no where and I hate that. However since December I went back and watched a lot of his games, and he has what I want in a QB. The three most important aspects of a QB IMO are pocket presence, accuracy, and anticipation. Arm strength, athletic ability, footwork, throwing motion, etc are all so overrated as variables to judge a QB. Trubisky does really well at the things I want in my QB. I think he is going to do very well in this league. I like him better than both QBs last year. I think he could have a Derek Carr type early career. If the Bills would be lucky to get him.

  4.

Just to add to the first sentence, the Bills were up 17-6 when MG compiled those stats.

Williams has potential, but unless he proves it on the field, you can't assume he'll reach it.

How is he supposed to prove it on the field without an opportunity?

I just hate that notion that if you are not a pro bowler your rookie year, you are a bum.

  5. I don't think Williams is as good. He's shown nothing to think that.

Just like Gilly. Crazy to me how people just toss Williams aside because of his rookie year after seeing a guy like Gilly progress.

Williams college tape is insane. Also showed promise in preseason. It's not easy being a 3rd string RB as a rookie. You get no rhythm.

  6. So what's the scoop ?

Pats will have James White, Burkhead, and Dion Lewis for 3rd down back.

How many rbs do they need.

The scoop is the Pats just wanted to screw the Bills and don't really care about who their RB is. Most teams with a HOF QB don't care who the RB is. Bill is praying the Bills match this. Bills need to call his bluff. Let them pay 4 million for a RB that is a rotational RB.

  7. Gilly is games McCoy got hurt or didn't play:

    MIA: 5 attempt 20 yards

CIN: 14 attempts 72 yards (McCoy would have had a huge day - Played like 1 series for 5 attempts 33 yards and a TD)

    Jets: 15 attempts 40 yards 1 TD

    2015:

DAL: 9 attempts 93 yards 1 TD (Held in check until 50 yard TD run)

    Jets: 24 attempts, 28 yards

Gilly is a product of Lesean McCoy being in the game. He is not a good RB when he is the number 1 in game. I don't trust him if McCoy was to get hurt.

  8. Joel Cory of CBS just said on the Murphy Show there is a real problem with the Bills here as this generally does not happen to other teams. They could of put 2nd round tender for about $1M more.

He wasn't worth close to 3 million which is what it would have cost for a 2nd round tender. Why give him something he isn't worth?

  9. Bills would be stupid to match. Back up RB are a dime a dozen. Let's be honest here, there was a significant drop off when Gilly had to be the starter. The reason why he was so effective was because McCoy did the real damage. I am fine with Jonathon Williams being the back up, and bringing in another RB off the street to compete. Our o line is good enough to plug most any back up RB in there.

BB doesn't want Gilly, he just wants to screw the Bills. Don't fall for his nonsense.
