  1. Hughes made a great statement, except for questioning why Jimbo is out on the field. That is not his business, it was divisive, the rest is very acknowledging and respectful.

All this should have been done behind closed doors. I think because Jim did not, it motivated Jerry to go public.

I did not see the game. If LeSean was stretching while the anthem was playing that crosses my line for being disrespectful. I think the kneeling makes a statement but is respectful because they at least assume a still position and focus that respectfully acknowledges the anthem.

Stretching, doing other things and ignoring the anthem, not respectful.

Interesting to see what the NFL does moving forward. Last thing they ever want is to lose customers with things like this. Honestly, I feel they should fine LeSean for the stretching.

Shady was directly in front of me for the anthem - He stretched almost non stop, what you might call vigorous stretching - almost like he was making his own separate point although only Shady knows what that point was. He did kneel as the anthem was ending.

  2. Yes, $5 for water and they keep the cap.

Pro Tip; Bring a cap into the stadium with you. They sell 20oz Pepsi products inside.

Pro Tip 2; Guest Service kiosks now have free spigot coolers of cold water, with small cups. You can purchase a water or bottled pop and then fill it back up at guest services. Pop that cap on that you snuck in earlier, boom. Water all day.

Thanks - I've had seasons for 14 years and I've never purchased water (coffee for cold games, but that's cheaper than water... go figure)

  3. It was a quiet tailgate, quiet game, quiet post tailgate and a quiet drive home with almost no one at the border.

We won a game we were meant to win against a team that brought few away fans. No away fans at the tailgate = none of the back and forth chatter that usually gets people ramped up. I mentioned at our tailgate that it felt more like a family reunion than a party, if you know what I mean.

  4. The Pats* loss last night is like Tiger Balm for my Bills ache

No kidding. I thought I didn't care about this season. I thought I would be going through the motions. Then last nights game came along and I was yelling at my TV and giving the finger to every sad sack Pats fan they showed.

This morning my thoughts of the Bills going 6 - 10 this year have magically turned to thoughts of the Bills going 10 - 6. We haven't even played yet. The Pats losing is one mighty strong tonic.

  5.

You mean the SB where he broke a crap load of records ?...Brady could toyed with our secondary if he was 48....we are in serious trouble back there.....facing Matt Ryan, D. Carr, P. Rivers, Brees and Brady 2X.....all those guys are most likely going to carve our secondary apart.....

Yep, that one. The eyesight starts going, reflexes, timing. He's the GOAT but he's also 40. Him having a steady drop-off is in the realm of possibility.

  6. Still feeling an optimistic 10 - 6 (give it to me it's pre-season). Sweep the Jets and the Dolphins, Brady will be almost a year older when we play him than he was at the Superbowl. A year at 40 is not like a normal year, he may be faltering by December 1-1 with the Pats.

Tyrod is being coached to stay in the pocket for the pre-season but we all know he'll be off like a jackrabbit when the season starts. Shady is Shady, he'll be fine. The D looks to be fine this year. Clay and Boldin will set some kind of NFL record for 7 yard receptions.

  7. Either 10 - 6 or 4 - 12.

Before Watkins was traded any Bills playoff hopes came down to sweeping the Jets and the Dolphins + playing solid football and catching some breaks. I don't think anything has really changed now Sammy is gone. If the Jets + Dolphins are going to be as bad as I think they are then this team should still be capable of sweeping them.

  8. My wife took me to see him in 2011 at the CNE in Toronto. I didn't really know his music or him. The first thought I had was **** there are a lot of people here to see him. As the show rolled on I was surprised by just how many songs I knew and loved but didn't realize it had been him singing them.

I believe this was a sort of warm up show. It was very close after the Alzheimer's announcement but Glen was knocking out most of what he played with what seemed like little trouble. When he slipped up the crowd was forgiving and full of love.

I'm glad I had a chance to see him and understand just what a legend he was.
