  1. I have often wondered how this guy got popular with this forum. Now I know, some of you are impressed by his clothes. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Again, I wouldn't wear the clothes myself (save a few of those zip-ups). I'm just impressed with his overall panache since he's quit the game.

Some people leave the NFL a drooling baffoon, but this guy comes out squeaky clean on the other side with a clothing line that would make Ralph Lauren jealous.

Impressive on all levels, if you ask me (but again, it's not my style).

  2. If you ignore the 5,432 threads about the next choice for coach....

Also with Orthodox Christmas coming up, if people need some last minute gift ideas, they can buy some clothes and support a former players business.

Again, nothing that I would wear (I guess a couple of the zip-ups are ok), but impressive nonetheless.

Doesn't surprise me. With that kind of chroise, he could be a QB, a designer, or an astronaut.

Any thoughts on hiring him as HC here?

Doubtful. The guy sells sweaters for $75 each and you think he's gonna give that up for some stressful NFL job?

  3. I am not putting myself in the "hire Frank" camp at all but you yourself have begun to make an argument for him.

Our last Head Coach fancied himself far far too much as an offensive genius and more than any other single factor, that is what burned us IMO. He was stubborn in his support of Hackett which really could have been masking his true goal which was his personal control of the offense. If he had been willing to take a hands off approach and hire a real OC, like he did with DC; who knows what could have happened? One of his positive attributes seemed to be having the guys ready for Sundays. The weakness was that he immediately put half of them, the offense, in impossible positions once the ball was kicked off.

Whether Reich would succeed at HC or not, does not seem to me to depend on whether he is some sort of offensive genius. It seems to me it depends on whether he is willing to do what it takes to allow the team to succeed. Does he seem like someone who would force a philosophy on coordinators? Does he seem like someone who would listen? Does he seem like someone that would have others listen to him? Have we ever known him to have a positive impact on people? Quarterbacks? Has he displayed organizational skills? Have people said they would do ANYTHING for him? Do multiple Hall of Famers from the glory years look up to him in ways that are different than other players from that team?

Now, I think I just made an argument why Reich as a HC makes some sense. Do I think he would be the best choice? I have no idea because I'm not sure I know the answers to all of the above questions. Some of them I do, but not all. And there are more questions than that which must be asked about any HC candidate. I don't know whether he could organize a weekly program to get the best out of 53 guys on a Sunday. I don't know anything on how he would make game time decisions. I don't know if in fact he would try to control too much. Knowing what I know of him, I think there is a good possibility he could be a strong HC.

Edit: Does the fact that the OP of this thread is obsessed with Talleywhacker is the one advocating Reich worry me? You betcha.

    +1

  4. Since its officially the offseason and its slowing down around here, I thought I'd find out what our former favorite QB Gibran Hamdan was up to.

After he retired from football in 2010, he started his own clothing line. Not really my cup of tea, but the guy has always had that panache.

Too bad they couldn't bring him in to at least do these on gameday again. I always liked them:

    Thoughts?

  5. I'm not stuck with that idiot. If he is the coach next year and Hackett is his OC and Orton is still possibly the starting QB.....I'm not gonna watch this trainwreck. I have better things to do than watch these cluess clowns anymore.

Not this old story again...I thought they were exciting this year as long as you didn't watch the offense.

  6. A piranha is a South American fish but also a term for a person that nobody wants to be around. It is derived from the fact that people would not go swimming when they knew piranha were around. Either Pirhana or pirhanas is an acceptable plural which I find interesting.

you think YOU know fish? lololololol
