  1. I hear you. the hilarity becomes when people state that buffalo are just pretenders and play easy teams. that conversation has happened at least 4 or 5 times with my coworkers alone this week, to which I reference the 43 games of not losing a game by 6+. the record over that span was 32-11. must have been a sh-t load of crap teams we played. outside those who are actual fans of the sport or people paid to talk about sports, the majority of opposing fans only have something to say when they lose. that’s always indicative of a good team.
  2. I understand how it works, loosely enough to cover the allocation of league adjustments to it each year and how teams spend. My point was more that if a team is constantly forcing themselves to restructure everything because they are that far in the hole, what is the actual point of a salary cap to begin with? if buffalo follow what you suggest I don’t think they even come close to being at the level the saints are. which is why, if you’re at that level there should be some form of penalty for egregious financial management.
  3. Between them and the browns, once the season starts I’m seriously not understanding how they have largely the same roster but have been -$20m+ on the salary cap for consecutive seasons… 2025 browns: -$42m 2025 saints: -$97m if the teams look anything like they do this season or even better in terms of players, then what is the actual point of a salary cap. especially for the saints. like you said, declaring bankruptcy is about the only thing you would thing to negate such a financial hole where the “business (players) stays the same”
  4. houston must believe the black uniforms had something to do with why baltimore beat us.
  5. if the shoe fits…. 🥁
  6. Maybe they’re getting a QB? in all seriousness, I read this from mike florio the other day after the whole rashee rice information and thought it might actually be something both teams consider come week 8 depending on where the respective teams are at offensively and in terms of divisional/league standings.
  7. brother… if there’s any player I’d take in a heartbeat, no thought needed, it would be mad maxx.
  8. as it stands right now they have $11.65m in cap space for 2025. jets have a shade under $87m. that’s my reasoning they secure his services; they can pay the wages easily on top of qb familiarity. maybe they factor that cap space for a cheaper alternative next offseason? tee higgins talk again. or do they apply it to another pass rusher? chase young is still intriguing and could be even cheaper than his 1y/$8.6m if he has an average year again.
  9. i just got done reading that and noticed they feel that the texans might have even been the only team in play so they got once heck of a deal it also referenced the whole trayvon “14 need to get up outta there” situation which is hilarious. does anyone post that “7 needs to get up outta there” when the cowboys are on their usual downward spiral?
  10. correct. buffalo is the only team to not throw an INT. 9 teams with 1 so far on the season. Josh/Buffalo has thrown the 4th fewest pass attempts also @ 104
  11. his age and cap hits are my only concern for the 1st round pick. sprinkle it with the attitude that he apparently seems unwilling to play with a “qb he doesn’t know”. a second rounder, sure. but a first I’m not sold on giving up. he’s been very healthy in his career so far. is this recent injury just a decision not to play or is it an actual issue and if so, how serious? will he be out multiple weeks? if it’s 4-6 weeks he’s out that’s a tough trade even for a second. christian watson could be interesting but I doubt GB trades him plus he comes with his own injury problems and can’t be counted upon. maybe michael pittman if indy’s season goes in the pan and richardson is out. prob’ not as he’s leading that team in targets with 29. very few options out there that are attainable for reasonable value.
  12. pretty easy when you trade every piece of talent except your LT, who they overpaid in a trade for anyway. no contracts and a plethora of draft picks… used correctly and you can turn it around. many don’t so that’s credit to the team. even more so being just after the bill obrien tenure. mcd either has the team bounce back or it could be like you said, a horror show. bills edge it 31-24
  13. are markets that big a thing for prime time anymore? I’m sure people are tuning in droves, just as much if not more to watch a chiefs/bengals matchup than a texans/bears or falcons/eagles. not a chide question, actually asking.
  14. 1. who knows. i’m sure something would have come out by now. 2. might be right that something is bothering him but the snap counts suggest the coaches feel he’s able to be out there the majority. 3. better start coming up with something more dynamic to stop the teams who want to run. that LB group can all play sideline to sideline. 4. roll with torrence a few more games. he’s had some rough patches but hasn’t been a complete liability like sunday night. 5. i’ve been in the hedge my bet camp on bass but something’s got to give. he either does a complete change or course or you move on asap.
  15. Except NYJ. they have plenty of space to take him on.
  16. what was weird too, week 2 they put texans/bears and falcons/eagles in the prime time slots over the chiefs/bengals matchup.
  17. mad maxx would be an insane trade. that though is the one player I think they put a “off limits” unless it’s something absurd like multiple 1st rounders.
  18. disagree. with all the draft picks and money they’ve put into that unit the last few years it’s still not working. budda baker is a FA next season. safety is a huge problem for us. camryn bynum, julian blackmon and jevon holland too. all 3 are young and productive. devin white could also be a significant addiction. solid LB and young.
  19. absolutely. whilst its a nice thought, he reunites with rodgers before we can entertain the idea. especially with all the cap space NYJ have next season.
  20. Dawkins really having no errors and remained unbeaten? the blocking on that trick play that ended the game and almost josh’s season makes me think otherwise. brown and torrence were rough!
  21. if indeed this is true, seems like they should have done it a week earlier. guess being proactive for the upcoming games of Jets/Titans\Seahawks, who build their O from the run, is as good as any.
  22. Budda Baker is a FA next season. If safety is a brutal evaluation with little improvement. Go all in for him. F- it. Go Al in anyway.
  23. that ravens team isn’t a semi-good team. they’re one of the best in the league since 2018. it goes chiefs (79), bills & ravens (67), saints (65), packers (64). That is continuity, as much as we’ve had since josh. they’ve had lamar. theyre a great team that has had one of the best run games in the league for years. every team can pass, some obviously better than others. I don’t think there’s many teams that can run the ball as wel as them. the 1-2 record going into last night doesn’t tell the story. They should have been 3-0. Rex pointed it out on get up: “in all 4 games this season they’ve out-gained opponents by 100 yards or more on the grounds”. no team has done that in the history of the nfl. sell out against the run and let the miscues happen in the pass game for baltimore. It’s going to happen more for them than us. why that wasn’t the philosophy and game play last night to start the game was peculiar. so many cover 2 looks. Your points on the D are spot on though… when we went single high, damar was truly awful getting and playing to the LOS. can’t blame him solely but he didn’t help.
  24. last night was a bummer for the manner in which we lost and not the loss itself. if we lose to the jets then there is every reason to be concerned. especially after their play against Denver
  25. no way bro. the game was in reach even if we don’t score that drive. @21-17, it’s most definitely still in play before and after a score.
