  1. If Fiedler doesn't end up with his 1st choice, his hometown Jets, I wouldn't mind having him as a backup to JP if the price is right.  It's not like he's going to be the starter & I think he wants to coach when he stops playing, so he'd be a good soldier & mentor to JP.

I think the bills will be competing for Fiedlers services with the Jets. We will have to make a superior contract offer otherwise he goes to the jets. I think he would be the best choice for backup QB

  2. Hadley Englehard told me that there are many teams interested in Travis. He will definitely not be back in Buffalo next year. Arizona is very interested. He told me he could not divulge any further details at this time.

Sorry I couldn't get anything more specific but he is pretty tight lipped until its all signed sealed and delivered.

  3. Jason Peters will start next season.

    I hope!  <_<

We have average TE coming off ACL surgery. This is among our greatest needs. The free agent TE are nothing special. I am hoping that Heath Miller falls to late 1st or early 2nd and we package Travis and our 2nd to move up to get him. For those of you who think we are going to draft Nugent-it won't happen. The last time the bills used a high draft on a Kicker it was a 3rd round pick and we cut him in the preseason. Cutting Gary Anderson was a huge mistake needless to say.

  4. I like the thought of trading for McMichael for sure but I think the Bills may want the pick rather than a player and then they an pay what they want on who they want at TE rather than being stuck with McMichaels contract which was negotiated by someone else. The other problem is McMichael himself, he may not want to go to Buff. If I had pick of the Fins litter, I would work a trade for Jason Taylor somehow rather than McMichael and get a guy like Franks.

The answer to the TE problem is Heath Miller at Va. We will trade up to grab this guy. He is Jeremy Shockey with more aptitude and less atitude. He is the offensive weapon we need to develop JP. Our other TE are serviceable at best.

  5. It is complex.  If he refuses to restructure his contract that will mean that He wants out of Buffalo.  Ultimately he will absolutely have to restructure if he wants to play next year.  Buffalo or not.

I could see trading him and travis to the raiders for there 1st round pick

  6. Franchising JJ is not an option.  He is not that good, and we don't have that kind of cap space.  Furthermore some excellent tackles may hit the open market this year including orlando pace and walter jones.

Also, Atlanta will no longer overpay for players, since they have a new GM Rich Mckay.

  7. You remember Drew commenting that there were no jerks on this team and that it was unique not to have a few guys in the locker room that he would classify as jerks....something tells me that Peerless fit the jerk category.......I doubt we wanted him when he hit FA and I doubt we want him back.

Jonas is a different story.  All this coming home stuff is nice to hear, but face it--during the season these guys are extremely busy--it makes no difference where they play and in the offseason, they can travel "home" as much as they want.  Hell Matthews and Willis go home during the season during the Monday and Tuesday breaks Coach Mularkey gives when they win.

Jonas will make a decision on dollars...but I bet we franchise him and then try to get something for him---similar to Peerless...we still have the tag why not use it.  If Mr. Home Depot wants to overpay again, let him...but we need to find a replacement that Coach McNally can blend into the fold.

  8. One thing i do know is that the falcons Oline isn't the strongest part of their team by any means

I live in Atlanta. I know JJ father. JJ wants to come to the falcons. The falcons need a tackle desperately. They do have the cap room to afford a moderate deal for JJ. Also the falcons may dump Peerless in the offseason after June 1 to free up cap room.
