I know I would, and one guy I would avoid is Hadley Englehard. He is Travis' agent and also DeWayne Robertson's.
I think in every walk of life you'll find groups that prefer not to do business with certain people. Sports is a little different though and Im sure that if a team likes a guy enough they just suck it up and deal with whatever scumbag represents that player.
I know Hadley personally, and he is a helluva nice guy. He is also a very good agent and is not the type to create problems or protracted holdouts.

Rosenhaus is already causing enough problems around the league. From chicago sun times
The seed planted by Drew Rosenhaus, the Bears or both on Thursday that the club was checking out Michigan State wide receiver Devin Thomas turned out to be a smoke screen. As in it was a hoax. We will count ourselves guilty of being suckered in and are here to set the record straight. Wide receivers coach Darryl Drake did not travel to Michigan to meet with the top prospect today.
Many expect Thomas to be the first receiver off the board, selected by the Buffalo Bills at No. 11. Obviously, news that the Bears would be interested helps Thomas in the event the Bills do not select him, and helps the Bears as they do their damnedest to make someone believe they’re not targeting an offensive tackle

I think Spencer Johnson will fill the swing DT and DE spot .. rotating at the 3 and at RE in run situations to give Schobel a break. That limits the need for Spears. What we really need is just a pure pass rushing End. A guy with 4.7 or better speed -- somewhere in the range of 255-270 lbs..who can deliver a few sacks and lots of hurries.
We need more than the 7 D lineman that we currently have. We have 2 rushing ends in Schoebel and Kelsay. We need an end that can stop the run as well.

We may be able to get him for a 5th rounder
-
If the Bills move it'll be only one way. Down.
you are most likely correct, however they maybe unable to move down and if they could move up for the "cheap" price of a 3rd round pick to get an impact player. Also there is no player worthy at the 11 spot in our needs.
-
who did gosselin predict for us the past few years?
-
If we could trade up and only give up a 3rd round pick to move up to #8 I think it would be worth it. We need to strenthen our D-line. Spencer Johnson can play end as well as tackle and currently we only have 7 d-lineman who are worth anything. I am not excited about picking a WR or CB at #11.

Now that Mularkey is running the offense down in Atlanta, they are expecting to be running the ball alot more and implimenting the H Back/ TE position, relying on WRs less. Second year man Laurent Robinson may have the inside track playing opposite WR Roddy White, thus pushing Joe Horn and Michael Jenkins into the background. Jenkins would make a good #2 WR. He's got the size, athleticism, and experience to fulfill this capacity. A lot has happened in Atlanta and this could be a player that might have been more a victim of circumstances. They are looking for another blocking TE and involving TE Matt Murphy in the deal may soften the compensation for Jenkins. Jenkins is signed thru 2010 but his contract is voidable in '09. The Falcons may be looking for some compensation now instead of losing all value with Jenkins in the next year or two.
Malcolm Floyd is another big receiver with experience and the Chargers are very thin with draft picks in this year's draft. They have a 1st rder and then a 5th rder but none in the 2nd - 4th rds. If we don't select a WR in rds 1 or 2 then using our 3rd rder for an experienced WR like Floyd could prove to be the better move for us.
To the disappointment to some I think that the Packers have more than their share of WRs and Ruvell Martin could make an ideal #2 WR. The same principles could be reasoned as the forementioned scenario with Malcolm Floyd, if we haven't resolved the WR position in the first two rds than here's another WR we could probably trade for by using a mid day pick (4th or 5th rder?).
I live in Atlanta. They are not moving Michael Jenkins. He is their inside slot receiver . They may cut Joe Horn.

I think he would be a decent 1 year option, and I don't think will command much more than veteran's minimum salary.
-
Does Takeo and his family still live in Buffalo then?
Takeo and his family live in Atlanta. He went to Auburn, so this is close to home.
-
He was there with his daughter's mother. The baby mom was hot. Takeo looked like he was in good shape. I didn't want to bother him, but I heard san francisco was interested. I was hoping we might resign him for veteran minimum. I still have his jersey. It is very sad-he is Sam Cowart all over again.

These means that we basically will be going with a singleback offense, replacing the FB with a TE. I have been waiting for this transition for the past 3-4 seasons; finally we have an OFFENSIVE IDENTITY! I've always felt we need to find a versatile personell group that can produce in both the run and pass. The offense had been so predictable as whenever Shelton was on the field we always ran the ball. Even if we passed with a 2 back set, he wasn't a threat in the passing game and factor in the TE's weren't either making us easy to stop: double team our #1 WR. We didn't have the O-line to dominate the LOS and push people off the ball so we were always bring in extra receivers on 3rd down making us predictable once again for the D knows it can just pin it's ears back and go after the QB. I think a singleback offense is less predictable; at least on 1st and 2nd downs the same personell group will be on the field. In a way, I wish we had kept Willis for I think he would have better success running stretch plays and cutback runs rather than following a FB up into the whole. If Everett can finally get healthy and play like the player we expected him to be or we draft a diamond in the rough TE we just might have something to look forward to on offense next year.
what Levy is saying is that we are going to draft another TE high(zack miller) and play 2 TE offense which is what fairchild wants to play. Everett and Neufeld are not locks to make the roster.

I think there's a very strong chance that they'll trade up, either from 12 to select Peterson, or from 43 to get one of the OLBs late in R1 after selecting Peterson, Lynch or Meachem at 12.
I believe that this is a weak draft and would not trade down.
I think if peterson falls to minnesota, they would be interested in trading down. They could use Ted Ginn, but don't want to reach for him. It would cost us our 2nd to trade up and I don't want to give that up.
-
We have too many needs for this to be a good strategy. In fact if Willis or Peterson are not there at 12, we should try and trade down.
-
You're insane, to think that this team has a TE need that is big enough to merit a first day pick is just plain crazy.
Alot of two TE formations? I saw more of the 3 and 4 WR sets towards the end of last season.
Pure insanity.
Both Neufeld and Cieslak saw alot of playing time last year. This year there will be more double TE formations as the FB position is being deemphasized. I do think it is unlikely that Zach Miller will last to the 3rd round. He will probably go at the end of the second. Most people compare him to Jason Witten. A big target like that who can block would help our offense tremendously.
-
Other than Robert Royal, we have mediocre TE. Everett has shown nothing. I would keep Cieslak as #3, but we need another TE since we play alot of two TE formations. Neufeld sucks. I think Zach Miller could be available in the 3rd.
-
AJ is the shrewdest GM out there. He has not made a bad trade and has exacted high compensation. Marv is very inexperienced as a GM. We had better not give up much for Turner.
-
I thought that he played ok at guard and would have been a good depth signing for cheap.
-
Is he fully recovered from his fractured foot? Will he be on the PUP list? This is an issue the bills have not discussed publicly. I know his agent Hadley Englehard, and I will ask him about it this weekend when I see him-although I don't know if he will tell me the truth.
-
With the 8 roster spots on the defensive line now determined, I still don't see how we can stuff the run. Walker is a penetrator and plays the same position as Triplett. Williams and Mcgargo are not run pluggers.
-
In today's update Alan Branch is off the big board. Is he the next Jonathan Sullivan, Jimmy Kennedy or Ryan Sims? If he is available at 12 do we take him? I usually respect Mel's rankings, but most other experts have him rated higher.

Everyone seems to think we can just move Crowell to MLB or to strong side LB. This is wrong. He and Ellison are both weak side LB. The strong side LB must cover the TE. I am not convinced that Crowell will successfull at MLB or strong side. Ellison is clearly too small to play anything other than weak side.
-
I dont know...with AP on the board when we pick I see an opportunity to pick up some picks and still get Lynch.....
I dont know what the hell to do....
If we move back, there is a no way we are drafting Lynch with his off the field issues
-
because while our team does need a RB, our defense needs as much help as it can get. and there will be more-than-serviceable RBs left in the 2nd and maybe 3rd.
i just like a couple GOOD backs running behind our new line, and an improved D. rather than a GREAT back and another year of a horrible run D.
just personal preference.
I am inclined to agree with you, although okoye or branch may be preferable to willis. However Peterson is a special talent who will sell tickets. I would love to pick one of them, and then trade back into the first round to get another one.
We don't want Devin Thomas

I have heard that story, although I suspect it was exagerated. I guess Hadley had too much alcohol. It happens to the best of us.
