+1000. The problem is that Morgan Stanley will continue to drive the price up until the trust tells them otherwise. It's their job. Time for trust to lock up a deal with Pegula and end the nonsense. It's becoming a circus with Trump and Bonjovi.

I think the offers will go up until the offers stop going up, not until the trust says stop. The trust put the upper limit on the price with the (hopeful) WNY preference/lease restrictions. Time will tell said the nervous but cautiously optimistic fan.

And Trump is, by definition, a walking circus. Amusing, as someone else's owner maybe, but please God, not OURS.

  2. Yes the trust has a right to grab the highest bid and the public has a right to their opinion regarding the Wilsons and their estate.

Go take the highest bid worth more money than you will ever be able to spend in a lifetime at the price of what? So that you can lose much of the public opinion towards you and your hubbys memory.

I really don't think that's the case at all. (Not the right to an opinion part - that's 100% true!) They've made it clear they want the team to stay in WNY. They've already given up maybe a half of a billion dollars! The buy out clause on the lease alone is $400 million. They have given up their bargaining position but are still trying to do the best they can given the handicap they have imposed upon themselves. I can't fault anyone for that. I think if anything it enhances the legacy. But, hey, that's just me.

  3. Just a warning - someone with your exact same name responded to your post

Sorry, but it seemed you either missed or didn't comprehend the CRITICAL point. And now, I will (hopefully) truly move on.

I just said that. It's obvious that the remaining bids are lower than Pegula's, hence they are fishing for higher bids. I doubt they are out there.

Yes, sorry as I was responding to an earlier post by jahbonas. You and I are on the same page. There may be some confusion elsewhere. I've never taken the first offer on my house, and I've always gotten more. Since the title was in my name, that was better for me. Whether I needed it or not.

If there were 2 better bids, why would they be soliciting more bidders? By extending the deadline they seem to be fearing Pegula knows his 1.3 is way too high, given the quality of the other guys out there.

Regardless of the situation, I'd be looking to escalate the bidding. The apparent restrictions to WNY and the NDA may keep some people from getting involved. Why not add some time and hopefully some bidders to push up the price? It's a very exclusive club.

Here's what you're missing, the asset was NOT funded by the community. The right to keep the asset in town was funded by the community. The lease and improvements made to the stadium are all components of the agreement to keep them in town. They do NOT include any ownership rights. Don't be confused by that.

And it makes zero difference whether they are alive or dead. The owner goes from a person to a trust. They don't lose any ownership rights to US because Ralph passed away.

Don't gloss over the little details.

  6. The number of zeroes don't matter, despite what many would like. The zeroes do not transfer to you.

Oh ok - I see now clearly thank you thank you - so dumb of me to ever thing this community contributed to his wealth...

Of course the community contributed to his wealth. If Wegman's or Duffs were to sell, you don't get a discount. That's the way the world works. At least the Bills didn't follow the Braves. I am thankful to have them in town and hope they stay for a fair market value sale price.

  7.

Whats really pretty silly is you possibly comparing to a person wanting to maximize profits by a person alive selling a beach house to the directives given by a man who has passed away for a billion asset that was largely funded by the monies of this community

  8. I love the Bills, and have for decades. Many decades. The quality of the team comes and goes, but the fans are always the constant. I love Bills fans! Having said that, I wonder sometimes. The analogy others have thrown out is fitting. It doesn't matter how inexpensive your speculative purchase of a beach house in Mailibu was decades ago, if you're selling it today you want to get what it's worth. That comes about by testing the market. For someone to say "hey, that's plenty" because they think they have a real interest in the team is just silly and simplistic. I hope they have enough sense to do better with their own financial planning.

Belichick was asked about Mallett. Says he knows the offense. Promises lots of playing time this preseason

He knows the offense? Already? In only his fourth season?

Mallett played in a qb friendly offense (see Brian Brohm). He makes Bledsoe looks fast. He isn't smart and likes coke. But other than that, he's a great prospect. Let's give NE a draft pick!

    That's funny!

They guy has an amazing arm, and I believe is a perfect example of why QB is about a lot more than a great arm.

So, now let his march to the HOF commence!

  10. As they say, after the first hit you remember it's just a football game and settle in. Unfortunately, EJ has a tendency to watch the rest of the game from the bench with ice on his knee. I love the guy and hope he gets it going. A better timed jump and this has a totally different feeling. Really stared down some throws though.

  11.

I like them too. I think had Williams timed his leap for EJ's pass a little better, people'd be whistlin' dixie right about now.

I have BIG questions about Goodwin's ability to stay on the field.

At least he threw the ball where the receiver had a chance to make a play. None of that 8 yards out of bounds stuff. That's encouraging given our WR's.

I know Goodwin has been dinged, but he doesn't look like a guy with a slight build, so I am hopeful. He appears fairly muscular in fact, though I could be way off.

I think Henderson has typical LT skills and body, not sure how he'd look at RT but I would like it, if he is a fit and stays clean.

Look at our own D, we have Mario facing the right tackle. I think the tackle position is leveling out in terms of need for skill sets. Seantrel played very well from what I saw. Just stay clean and enjoy an amazing life. The alternative is much less appealing.

This shows how clueless you are about what Brandon does. Why not blame the janitors and secretaries at OBD for the playoff drought too?

My sources tell me the secretaries are not to blame (and in fact do a tremendous job), but some splashes around the urinals may have cost as many as three games last year. Take that for what you'd like.

  13. I wonder if starting M. Williams ahead of Woods has to do with Woods superior maturity and the need to keep Williams engaged in a positive way (you know, out of the police blotter and all). I know, the best players should play, but sometimes coaches at all levels have to be therapists as well as coaches/teachers. Regardless, I love our top three WR's, then bring in Goodwin for speed and that gets dangerous!

  14. Watching the post game on NFLN and Brian billick blamed the missed long pass From EJ to Watkins... On Sammy. He said EJ had it timed perfectly but Sammy pinned himself to the sideline, may have worked at Clemson but won't in NFL. Interesting.

Also, MT @mikerodak: Doug Marrone says his tablet did not work in first half tonight. NFL implementing that tonight

    !

@JonahJavad: Q: "Any injuries?" Doug Marrone: "Seantrel [Henderson] sweated a lot..." #Bills #HOFGame

    A) When the pass was in the air Sammy seemed to show his speed and separated. Until then he kind of looked like a horse in a race that gets trapped along the rail. He could have run by him if he had room. At least, that's what we thought on the first couple looks at the play.

    B) That's my kind of injury report. I declare victory! (Yeah, I want them to learn to win, but as Tony Dungy and others have said, the best ability is availability!) Five preseason games is too much, in my opinion.
