  1. Allen is the only QB I could picture with us and be ok with it. Darnold turns it over, Rosen’s personality is so annoying that it shows in every press conference and interview I’ve seen. Mayfield was the other one I thought we might get but I didn’t like him either and he reminded me too much of Manzel. Short, cocky and would be a bad fit with coach. Jackson is a wildcard that will probably get hurt but will do something amazing every game before the inevitable happens.

For years many of us have wanted a big armed, big bodied sturdy QB and we have him. I’m happy. Now let’s get an O-line together and give him some weapons. Only fear is that he is started too soon and gets beat up from a bad o-line and only throws like 15 passes a game. He can be big time if we set him up. Happy to have a gunslinger type

After a great draft and signing of undrafted free agents here is my first take on the final 53 man roster we will see for the start of the season:

    QB : McCarron, Allen, Peterman

RB - McCoy, Ivory, Caderet, DiMarco

WR - Benjamin, Jones, Streeter, Holmes, Foster, McDonald, Prohel

TE - Clay, O'Leary, Thomas, Lee

G/C - Miller, Duchasse, Teller, Groy, Bodine

T - Dawkins, Newhouse, Mills, McDermott

    ST - Haucheska, Ferguson, Schmidt

DT - Lutulii, Williams, Phillips, Washington

DE - Hughes, Murphy, Lawson, Yarborough

OLB - Milano, Humber, Stanford, Alexander

    ILB - Edmunds, Vallejo

CB - White, Davis, Johnson, Gaines, Wallace

S - Hyde, Poyer, Neal, Bush

I'm assuming we may pursue depth at MLB and possible get rid of TE Lee or move McDonald or Proehl to the practice squad.

Your thoughts and feedback as always are welcome

    Gaines went to the Browns

  3. For me I just knew I couldn’t stand Tom Brady and the Patriots from the moment I realized that Drew Bledsoe ( who I respected before we had him) lost his job due to injury. Turned me sour on the whole organization. Then Brady’s long hair. Then Giselle. Not to mention all the controversies. Emperor Bill is as unlikable as possible all the time and without fail.

Most of all I’m totally envious with the success they’ve had. They cheat and do all the dirty crap that it takes to win games in this league. I hate them and don’t respect them at all. However, If they were instead Buffalo Bills players and coaches and our team won all those rings... I’d love those guys so much.

I hope the eagles win but if a patriots win meant Tom Brady and the emperor would retire I’d be more than ok with it.

  4. Get a QB in free agency (Alex smith) or trade and then:

-bundle picks if we can get the QB we want.

-or get our guy if he’s their at 21

with #22 if we still have it:

-take the best offensive lineman on the board and put him at right guard or right tackle.

-All remaining picks should be spent on DT’s or maybe a 43 Linebacker (first pick in RD2)that’s stock slipped to replace Lorenzo(liability in coverage).

i want to say receiver but I have a feeling ours are better than we think, truth is we don’t know because we don’t have a QB who can stand and fire (maybe a FA)

Sure there is.  How about for starters people who live up to expectations?

Agreed. Nobody is saying he’s terrible but his effort level is what is preventing him from making good on his physical gifts. Not a coach Mac guy. Definitely not worth what we gave up to get him and not worth the money he’ll get in free agency. Over his career he has proven to be ‘just a guy’ who has flashed here and there.

As I always say: the only mystery with Watkins is why he doesn't get more targets.

    On a per-target basis, he's utterly dominant.

    Seriously.

Why does he need to make more plays ?

Are they struggling to score points ?

Gurley is def their mvp but wouldn’t be as good if Tavon Austin or Cooper Kupp was wr1

He needs to make more plays to justify calling him a big contributer or super decoy. I’m saying his average receiver performance for them this year is because Gurley and the other receivers gets so much attention. So super Sammy should be open if he’s so dominant right? The rams are good and nobody is saying they aren’t but what I am saying is that Sammy Watkins is JAG.

Total ??.    Tell me what Todd Gurley did last year when he averaged 1.5 yards less a carry.  Sammy/Woods/OL additions have made that team insanely well rounded

Correct.   My mans not being truthful due to agenda/vendetta.

12-4 without Sammy too huh ???‍♂️??‍♂️

They had a lot of additions and Todd Gurley is their MVP not Sammy Watkins. Gurley may end up the league MVP too and If Watkins was as good as some think, he’d be making more plays. I’m sure the defenses they face would rather not give up 100Yd+  rushing and a bunch of yards receiving to Gurley. You can bet defenses know who is getting the ball and key on Gurley. Yet their #1 receiver has trouble getting the ball. You can’t tell me that defenses are more concerned with Sammy than Gurley. Last year was last year and they added a lot to get that team where it is.

You didn't know that Sammy has played in every game this season, so I doubt that.

Not my fault he’s had 1 catch or less in 4/15 games this year. He gets erased because he can’t get open enough like the top tier guys can

You continue to show just how much you don't know. If you were watching Rams' games you'd know that Watkins is covered on a weekly basis by the opposition #1CB often with safety help that created opportunities for others.

You seem to not realize that every #1 receiver gets that attention. If you watched more games you’d see that. Sammy just doesn’t make the plays a lot of number 1 receivers make.

You simply do not know what you're talking about.

I know that Todd Gurley requires a lot of attention and Sammy isn’t making the best of it. I also know that Woods is making the best of it. Woods was the bigger loss this off season.

    LMAO!!!

If you think Sammy and LaFell are comparable players then thank you, I now know not to spend time reading any of your posts.  Sammy is light years more talented than LaFell.  Sammy was NOT injury prone, he got dinged up a little early and then the bulk of his issue was one long lingering injury that he fully recovered from and has played every game this year.  WR's get dinged up...guys who are SUBSTANTIALLY more injury Prone than Sammy have been Juilo Jones, OBJ, etc.

Sammy played on an awful offense as a rookie with Kyle Orton and EJ.  Then spent next two years on a run first team, with terrible coaching, and battled the foot issue (something thats NEVER reoccurred in any player in NFL history once fully recovered from).  This year he is on a run first team LOADED with weapons at WR and TE and still has a lot of TD's.

So, sorry...this is about as ridiculous a comparison I have ever seen.  Sammy is superior to LaFell in every way...faster, better hands, better Redzone target, better route runner, better catch radius, better big play guy, etc.  You were absolutely wrong then and you are absolutely wrong now.  But I get it, you want to cherry pick right now while you still can where the time missed really hurt Sammys stats because in another year or two Sammys stats will be substantially greater than LaFell who isn't even a quality starter in the this league.

This board cracks me up with this stuff.  Its like some of you dont even watch games.

You are correct that he has more physical gifts and talent but at the end of the day those two players have similar production. Most of Sammy not living up to his potential is that he has kept going out there when injured instead of healing. I said injury prone which he is. I didn’t ever say he was prone to missing a bunch of games. The touchdowns that he has had in this mediocre season are due primarily to the presence of Todd Gurley and the other weapons and definitely not the other way around. OBJ blows Sammy out of the water by the way. That simple fact can be seen from watching football games. Real number ones catch the ball no matter who is covering. Antonio Brown, Julio, OBJ for example.

No need. Im sure hes the greatest cause you said so. Probably looking at 35 mill a year over 15 years with a 175 million dollar signing bonus. Guys like Antonio Brown are chumps. They could never be the decoy Sambo is.

Hahaha! Nobody in nfl history has ever mastered the following quite like Sammy:

step 1- beat defender off line

    step 2- defender touches him

step 3- raise arms and look at ref while catchable ball flies past him within his catch radius.

    hall of fame.

Similar? No. Watkins has 80 more yards and 5 more TDs on 11 less catches and 15 less targets. He's created 33 1st downs to 23 for LaFell.  It's not even close and Watkins draws the assignment of the #1 CB each week often with Safety help.   You should stop.

    GreatNeedyAdamsstaghornedbeetle-max-14mb

Yes, through 15 games that is indeed similar

Does LaFell draw the #1 CB each week? Nope, that's AJ Green.  There is no comparison.   LaFell has 50 catches for 513 yards and 3 TDs  Watkins has 39 catches for 593 yards with 8 TDs

    sg1gg8.jpg

Yeah pretty similar. Sammy has more touchdowns but he does not have Andy Dalton to depend on.

The premise of your OP is plain wrong on the numbers and the issue of him being injury prone.  Failed thread.

He’s missed 11/63 games. But when looking beyond the box scores one can see that he has often been trotted out there when unhealthy only to have a lack of effort when the ball doesn’t hit him in the numbers

  15. 4 minutes ago, 26CornerBlitz said:

He's missed no games this season.  You should stop now.

I stand corrected, I thought he missed Seattle because he was completely erased. And the 3 other games where he caught one pass were forgetable.

40 fewer catches but more yards and TDs sure does point to Sammy being a different type of player.

That is true but the other part of my comment was about how injury prone he is. If your best ability is your availability then where does this put Sammy?

  17. 6 minutes ago, 26CornerBlitz said:

Your told you so is ringing hollow since he hasn't missed a game all season long and he's a key player on a division champion with the highest scoring offense in the league.  Keep chopping.

He’s missed games this year. You should also check this years stats.
