  1. Shame on me for even touching this one but I got spanked from a mod for calling like it is. I said that the way he plays lends himself to injury and I defended myself against tons of people on here. I also compared him to Brandon Lafell production wise. Wound up with 2 warning points from it. I have no reason to believe that he could or would benefit our team whatsoever. “I need 10 targets a game”...no thanks bro.large.2877FED6-BEA4-4C94-A2C1-663FF2A0F362.gif.5b3effb0df0c60c7b3d471514e648534.gif

They are perhaps the luckiest 6-5 I've seen. They've had TONS of lucky ball bounces leading to victories.

The strange thing about the Bills is they've had pretty much no lucky bounces all season. Normally that plays a role in a few wins, but all of this season's wins have been straight up. Hopefully the football gods are saving the Bills' lucky breaks for these upcoming opponents...

By the end of the season, we might be congratulating ourselves for playing the Browns the way we did. Still don't understand why people think the Browns are bad. Just look at that schedule.

I agree with you on the Browns, with Kareem Hunt in the mix. He is a guy that draws a ton of attention and he is really good. His addition makes their offense twice as good and draws attention from the other playmakers.

This is how I feel but they are also in some turmoil with Jones being jones and a late night last  night due to late finish.  I like us in this one more than I did 2 weeks ago.

I’m hoping for the best but it’s tough to be the road team on Thursdays.

Josh is improving every week. Just not at the lightning speed pace that impatient fans demand.  I'm very very encouraged by his progress. This is an offense that won't be fully ready till next year. This year reminds me of 1989. Next year might be our 1990.

I just don’t want a “Ronnie Harmon” moment in the playoffs!

The defense was really bad at times, no doubt about it.  But the offense has enough talent to score 20 something points per game.  If the Bills continue to average 16 points or whatever per game, they will lose all games where the D isn't perfect or close to it.

This is true but if Haushka makes the two kicks and if we get that face mask call on third down it could have easily been another 9 points

  5.  Wallace is not playing well, our entire defensive line is unimpressive. Shaq didn’t set the edge well yesterday and Murphy isn’t strong enough or quick enough. Our linebackers are stretched thin by crappy D-line play and having to tackle for some of our corners. The LB’s are having a tough time shedding blocks too. The defense should have won us the game by getting a stop on the long drive.

Offensively, we should have run the ball with singletary much more than we did. We should have had an “establish the run and then use play action” game plan.

Boring old-school football wins a game like that.

Since we are playing this game.  . . . Can we try him as MLB?

Sure, Oliver MLB, Edwards OLB. Since we are playing the game. For real though, he is obviously struggling a bit. I think his issue may be lack of effort or injury with his snap count going down. McDermott will stick with a guy if the effort is there in most cases. Of course we also don’t know how long it’s been an issue.

  7. I think the league should re-align to have divisions that make sense.

    AFC EAST:
    Buff
    NE
    NYJ
    BAL

    AFC SOUTH:
    MIAMI
    HOUSTON
    TENN
    JACKSONVILLE

    AFC NORTH:
    INDI
    CLE
    PITT
    CINCI

    AFC WEST:
    RAIDERS
    BRONCOS
    CHIEFS
    CHARGERS

    NFC EAST:
    GIANTS
    PHILI
    WASHINGTON
    CAROLINA

    NFC SOUTH:
    ATLANTA
    NO
    DALLAS
    TAMPA

    NFC NORTH:
    CHI
    MIN
    GB
    DET

    NFC WEST:

You are exactly correct.  You need to match the availability of free agents and prospects available to you in the draft with the needs of the team.  It is crazy to think that a GM would blindly follow some arbitrary strategy to fill out a roster.  Every time I read some "gem" like this from a sports writer, it just reinforces for me that the vast majority of these writers are just journalism majors that are really clueless about their subject.  Augie, your post also reinforces for me the fact that I receive more relevant and useful information from the posters on this forum than from any other source. Thanks

I agree as well, I was shocked to hear anyone on NFL Network even say it. No way do I think it should be addressed as anything but situational.

Here is who I think we will lose to: Dallas, New England, Baltimore. We might just go 11-5... and might not make the playoffs.

I don’t like that idea either guys but either Houston or Indie may take a wild card and someone could get hot. For the record, I do think we make the playoffs this year. As far as flacco is concerned, I don’t think Denver wins against us with or without him.
