  1. I am telling you right now, He is trade bait come May 8th. just wait and see. I can see him packaged with another pick to move up or for say a 2nd or 3rd rounder to the right team (Raiders?)

I would not complain about a 2nd rounder for him. Don't think we can get a 2nd rounder for him though. I still think he can be very good or special. But, not sure if the coaches and FO think so. So, if they trade him I don't think the coaches or FO believe in him anymore.....so, I would be fine with the trade.

  2. I think the Bills are steadily improving. I think if Whaley and company stay the course they are on, the Bills will be 9-7 this year or better. I agree we will be in the playoff hunt come week 14 and 15. If this happens I doubt a new owner that purchased the team would house clean in year one when it is our best year of the century. And, we are continuing to improve annually under this regime.

  3. I think he's the pick if he's there...

But I doubt he'll be there unless there is a crazy run on QB's and Sammie Watkins falls to Tampa Bay...I've been reading a lot about the Bucs pick...There are Tampa fans who feel they already have a definitive #1 WR and the smart move would be to get one of the elite OT's and grab a WR at #38 because the depth at WR is much better than the depth at OT this year (sound familiar Bills fans?)...But I think for the same reasons many Bills fans have favored Evans, the majority of Bucs fans feel the same way...

One thing that is interesting about the Bucs situation is they have a new, experienced HC who is a Defensive guy...The Bucs Defense was right in the middle of the NFL last year...But they have to deal with the Saints, Panthers, and Falcons in Division...I'm 100% certain Lovey would not mind adding a top Defensive talent at #7 overall...The question is will there be anyone there that rivals Evans or one of the OT's in their minds?...And I'm guessing the answer to that question will be no...Which leads me to the possibility of a Tampa Bay trade down...There are also some Bucs followers who seem to think they will look to trade down a bit...The move from #9 to #7 wont cost much...That may be a trade up for the Bills to consider... B-)

I also fear Tampa takes Evans. However, remember Lovie Smith is coaching Tampa now. I can't imagine Lovie and company taking a WR in the first round let alone #7. Lovie teams never invest in WRs. Usually they would take a playmaking player on D. They need to switch the D over to a Tampa 2. I am sure they need to swap some personell in and that won't have them taking a WR there. However, looking at the initial situation you would think they draft a WR. I really don't think it is happening.

  4. If we select Matthews at #9.....he MUST play RT. Otherwise, Glenn walks for LT money after two years. If Glenn stays at LT and Matthews plays RT....you can resign Glenn for LT and since Matthews is a 1st round pick we can have him for 5 years instead of 4. So, it gives us bookend OTs for a minimum of 5 years! If Matthews plays LT it gives us bookend OTs for only two years. That would be a true waste of the #9 overall pick. IF we pick Matthews and I strongly prefer Evans, he MUST play RT.

Plus with Matthews playing RT 3 of 4 seasons in College and then 5 of 5 seasons in the NFL and NO LT experience (maybe beside some injury replacements) for a total of 8 of 9 season I strongly doubt he would be lured from us for LT money.

    Thoughts?

  5. He wants to start and Buffalo's Brass will not bring in anyone to actually compete with EJ and make him earn/win the job

That's not true. They brought in Kolb last year. What FA QBs were out there this year to bring in I don't think anyone better than Thad. They have pretty much said they are not draftig a QB in the first round this year. But, they can still draft a QB this year. I think if Pryor is out there the Bills will kick the tires on him as I think they are going over most options all the time.

  6. Overall... I don't give a chit.

This year??? I planned my wedding for May 9th because the draft would be done already. Jokes on me right.

So I've got a cocktail reception during round 1. My wedding and reception through rounds 2 and 3. And a chartered "pleasure boat" cruise for the remaining of the draft.

    Couldn't be more pissed.

    Sorry! That blows!

  7. Everything about the 2004, 05, and 06 draft....is it any wonder we've been so bad:

    No doubt!!!

This is how I feel every time the Bills draft an OSU player. I think it is because we see every snap these players take in college for 3-4 years, plus all of their pressers, issues on and off the field..., Too much analysis!

I strongly dislike everytime we draft a player from Ohio State, Florida State and Texas. Although, I didn't mind the EJ pick. But, FSU is a bad sign.

  8. I don't like it at all. Unlike the peanut gallery, TJ Graham is not a bad receiver. He was open on MOST of his thrown to attempts last year, MOST of the failed attempts were not his fault. I think with some consistency at QB, we see a great player emerging this year.

    Tim-

TJ Graham may get open but he can NOT catch. He jumps when attempting to catch the ball. He is pop warner!

  9. Firstly, I am hoping he is available at #9 and we take him being Mike Evans. Secondly, Graham may start at S or be the 2nd or 3rd CB. Regardless, you need at least 3 CBs in this league and if Graham plays S we need another CB. So, if Duke Williams or someone else besides Graham don't start at S we need another DB. However, the offseason is suggesting we take a RT early. I think we can find one in the 2nd or 3rd, but, would not be against it in the 1st round.

  10. Our O-Line is not better, yet. We lost one of the best playmaking safeties in the league. Our QB has knee and accuracy problems. Our best WR drops clutch passes, and we just traded for another one with past attitude issues. Spiller looked like a shell of his 2012 self last season. Our seemingly dependable TE drops more and more passes each year (and fumbled away a victory).

On other hand, another year of development, there is no way we have as many injuries in our secondary as last season, we seemingly shored up our run D, and we still have the draft left to add more.

While we certainly could be in the mix, to seem so certain about it seems a bit crazy to me at this point.

I agree with these comments.........but, believe we WILL at least have meaningful December games which is an improvement over the last decade.
