We might not have the MPH on Stafford, Luck or Carr but they all have obvious arm talent. You're right in that there are gaps in the data but the principle is correct. Weak armed QB's are at a SIGNIFICANT disadvantage. This is shown time and time again when a backup who can't make all the throws required is on the field and it limits the offense. I am with Shanahan on this, great arm talent is what you want as it puts defenses in much more compromising positions.

Brees has a good arm. Peyton Manning went from HOF player to marginal backup when his arm failed him.

Oh, I agree. Terry Pegula couldn't speak up for his GM or say he had final say. There will be "One Voice" and no accountability for the draft picks. Coaches want players that can help them NOW. There is a reason few teams have their coach as the final say.

We don't have numbers from over 10 years ago but we do for the last 8-10 years. There are no NFL stars drafted in the last decade that throw under 50 MPH.

If Mcdermott actually demanded a high QB prospect and was ready to develop him I would gain a whole lot of respect for him. Just see him as another Marrone, conservative coach that will ride the veteran QB for short term results.

Depends what you expect. I don't grade my starting QB based on EJ Manuel. Unfortunately, because of Manuel a lot of Bills fans are grading the QB on a curve.

Patrick Mahomes. Best arm, lightning release, great pocket presence, highly accurate in pocket or on the run, leader, and loves football. Top 3 QB upside. We hit on him and we are competing for Superbowls​.

Good points. Rex failed here but let's not pretend he was the only problem. The roster was very thin last year and when a few injuries happened Bills were in deep trouble.

Based on what? Tyrod is protected by the NFL's top rushing offense and is not asked to do as much as other QB's. When he is called upon to make plays in a 2 minute drive or the 4th quarter he wilts.

This is all we could have had? Again, Nick Foles or Trevor Siemian can do what Taylor does for far less than 30 million over 2 years with 8.5 million in dead cap if we cut TT next year.

You can say that about any player. Take away their best trait and they wouldn't be a good prospect.
