  1. That felt like I was watching the Bills defense in every critical situation........ Just brutal.
  2. What the heck was that? It's like they actively got out of the way......
  3. These defensive calls are boggling my mind. Really feels like I am watching another defense right now choke it away.
  4. What kind of coverage is that? Just give them a free 5-6 yards......
  5. Saw that coming from a mile away. If it wasn't a tush push, that's the only play you run in that situation.
  6. This is where knowing what you need really comes in handy.....
  7. Might as well have went for it...... Not going to stop Mahomes from at least getting into FG range anyway. You know Kelce will be running wide open and they will be in FG range in 2 or 3 plays. Then it will just be trying to hold them out of the end zone.
  8. Legit call at the worst possible time......
  9. Keep pounding the rock....
  10. First penalty since the 2nd quarter...... Because everyone knows KC never commits penalties on either side of the ball.
  11. Not sure I would have taken the ball there. I would have liked to know what I needed to get........ This isn't regular OT.
  12. I guess no defensive coordinator ever thinks to double and jam Kelce in any crucial situation. I just don't understand it. He's either one on one or finding a huge hole in a soft zone. No defense ever just lines up 2 guys on him and puts him on the ground before he even gets off the line.
  13. We care more than every other fan base. It hurts us more when the season ends. We feel it differently than other fan bases around the league. We will carry losses, not only from the previous season until the following year starts, but horrible gut wrenching losses from season's pass that just keep adding to each other. Heck, we carry the 4 Super Bowl losses around like they happened yesterday. I think we will continue to do this until we actually win a Super Bowl. The Mafia is family. We go out of our way to help others. Whether it is finding the positive in the negatives through donations, shoveling and plowing out player's homes so they can get to the stadium to play a game (or catch a flight to another stadium to play a game when the city is shut down), or just having the wildest and most welcoming tailgate scene in the world for both Bills fans and opposing team's fans. We're built different and it shows......not only to our own fans, but cities and fans of other teams see it too. There's more to it, but that is the CliffsNotes of it all.
  14. It's been reported that the 10 highest money wagers on the game are all on the 49ers. That said, while I won't be near the highest wagers on the game, I'll be on the other side for sure. The NFL wants nothing more than Taylor Swift celebrating on their field at the end of the game. No way do they want to show her pouting and crying at the end of the game. The Chiefs win this one, unfortunately. Obviously, nobody wants the Chiefs to win, especially me. I will be hate watching this game like no other firmly believing that if we were healthy, we would have won that game and beaten Baltimore who I think is a little overrated. We just make 1 or 2 more plays in that game as it is, we win. If we were healthy, I really think we would have won and it maybe would have been by more than 1 score. But alas, here we are left wondering because it always seems to be something that turns up at the worst possible time that gets in our way. A coaching meltdown with 13 seconds left. A player dying on the field and throwing the team into emotional overload. Injuries the week before to key players in a game that shouldn't have even been as close as it was. As frustrating as it is on our end, though, when you love the game of football as much as I, and many people on this board do, there is no way not to watch. So, I will be putting my money on the Chiefs moneyline hoping I lose the bet. But if I'm right, and the NFL gets what they want, at least my wallet will be better off for it. But, that said, here's to losing my money!!!!! GO BILLS!
  15. I haven't had the heart to go back and watch the All-22 film of that game yet to see how he was used. Obviously there were no big plays to speak of, but I am not sure if he was running those routes and they were just covered or if they didn't have him working that part of the field for some reason. Someday I'll review that tape, but it still hurts. I 100% believe with my heart that if we didn't lose Bernard and Benford the week before, we would have won that game. Still should have won it without them.
  16. Yup. And it should be fully guaranteed over the next decade at least.
  17. He would have, but they didn't really even start to incorporate him in the offense on those types of routes until the last couple weeks of the season. He may have run a few of those routes earlier in the year here and there, but they didn't really start utilizing him in those situations until late. It was really strange because it was one of his biggest talents coming out of college in the first place. I thought we'd see it more from the beginning of the season, but they never did it.
  18. I know there is no way you can avoid it. Your number has to come up at some point in the rotation, but man, I wish there was a way we could never play an international game again. They are ridiculous. And while nobody knows what would have happened had we not gone on that London trip, I still remember thinking that after that game that we lost any real chance we had at competing for a title. Now, obviously, we still ended up with a chance and you could probably argue that if Bernard and Benford are healthy against the Chiefs, there was a pretty good chance we could have won. But man....that England trip was devastating to this team and I have no desire to see the Bills play outside of the US anytime soon.
  19. It's a very deep WR class. Unfortunately, there are a ton of teams that need WR help and I expect 6....maybe even 7 to be off the board by the end of the first round. It's a great year for OTs, as well, but with Brown taking a step last year, I am not sure that is a position you want to take in the first round. I guess, worst case scenario, the top 6-7 WRs come off the board before we pick but, in turn, that forces a very good player at another position that normally would be picked a lot higher down the board to us. I guess we just have to hope that whoever that may be is at a position of need for us as well. I really don't want to have to trade up, but if Beane is serious about a particular WR, then I guess I'm open to it. But it better be a bigger guy that can run and stretch the field a bit. We need an explosive play maker and I just don't want to settle for another 6' guy that runs 4.5 or whatever that runs average routes and can't create separation consistently.
  20. This entire off season should be him, McDermott, and the rest of the coaching staff locked in a room until the figure out a way to cover Travis Kelce. They should be looking at every game he has played over the last 3 years and charting every coverage to find out what has worked the best. Contrary to popular opinion, he does have very quiet games and figuring out how to take him out of a game should be their primary focus. Mahomes will be Mahomes, but in my opinion, he's not been the reason we haven't been able to beat the Chiefs. We can't beat the Chiefs because Mahomes is throwing the ball to Kelce over and over again because he is running wide open most of the time in the secondary. Any QB could make a lot of those throws to Kelce. So get it figured out...... I know how I would do it, but I've never seen teams actually try it consistently. I've seen it work when teams do try it, but they just don't do it enough. GET PHYSICAL. Some teams do try and jam him off the line and it does work when they are successful in getting their hands on him. Sometimes they miss and get burned, but that is going to happen. He's a good player. If it's me, I'm taking the physicality to an entirely different level. I am finding where he lines up, assigning 2 guys to press him and jam him immediately off the snap and not even allow him to get into a route on time. Almost treat him like a dominant defensive tackle where the guard and center are double teaming him before one of them drops off into their next responsibility. I am not saying you have to never let him release, but just use that 5 yards that press is allowed to it's full extent and make him work for every step. Try and put him on the ground a couple times if you can. Make him work every second on his attempted release. This should throw off the timing enough to allow the pass rush to force Mahomes to look elsewhere. I'm just sick and tired of watching him line up and get a free release against this defense 90% of the time. I know teams can try and limit the physicality on certain guys by stacking them or using motion, but force them to try and do this all the time. Never let them feel comfortable that he is just going to be able to line up and run a route. And, you know what...... If he had 3 for 35 and you still get beat, fine.....I'll live with that. But make no mistake about it, not being able to cover Kelce at all, not Mahomes, has been the main reason we have lost to them in the Playoffs. Yes, our scheme seems to work against most other TEs when we play them, but Kelce kills this team. Figure it out.
  21. More games = More money It's that simple. I think there is a better chance they go to more Playoff teams with multiple byes than back to 6 with 2 byes. They will look to squeeze every penny out of the season that they can. Adding more Playoff teams increases interest in more cities and in turn generates more money. Not saying I want anything like that, but any way the NFL can add more revenue, you can bet it's being discussed.
  22. While I don't always agree with him, this breakdown shows the inefficiencies of the offense at times. As good as the offense was at times last night against a great defense, there are several things that could have been done better just by paying attention to the details. I know some of it may be on the players, but there are definite flaws in the play designs and the coaching of the WRs. I know Brady isn't a lock yet to be back, but if I had to guess, he'll be back. But he needs to get into the lab and iron out some of these details. I think Chad Hall leaving last season really hurt the WR room as well. You can see in this breakdown just where the lack of coaching is holding this offense back and why it is so hard on Allen and why he is forced to be Superman all the time. He has to overcome so much. So, in addition to the ST coach and DL coach being fired (I hope), I want a new WR coach and, if Brady is back, more attention to details and route spacing. Take the time to watch this.....you will see just how unprepared these players are because of bad coaching.
  23. We need 2 WRs coming out of this draft. Ideally, you get one that by the end of the season is competing for WR1. The problem is going to be where we're picking. While this is a deep draft class for WR, there are a TON of teams that need one. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the top 7 WRs are off the board by the time our pick rolls around based on the amount of teams that need one. Not saying you can't still get one that turns out to be great.....of course you can. But in terms of the top guys going into the draft..... We might be too far out and we might find better value at another position because so many WRs come off the board early.
  24. You could see by the movement pre-snap that something was up. It looked like there was some confusion and you could sense it was coming. It surprised nobody.
  25. Everyone praising Mahomes for what he did last night, and saying he carried his team to the win.....yadda yadda yadda..... Make no mistake about it. He did what he needed to do to win, but nothing he really did was special. He was very rarely pressured. Never really touched. Never made that impossible play. He thew to ball to Kelce who ran WIDE OPEN all night and chucked a ball up down the field to a WR that actually made a play for his QB. Meanwhile, Allen is under pressure all night. Throwing laterals and passes on the run. Multiple 60+ yard dimes down the field to WRs that apparently forgot how to catch the ball. Allen was the best player on the field last night and it will go unnoticed and the narrative will continue that he can't beat Mahomes when the fact is, if Allen was playing the Bills defense last night and not the Chiefs defense, he probably would have put up 40+.
