  1. Dennison has always been conservative when it comes to throwing deep. Even before Tyrod when on other teams. In fact, Dennison is even more conservative with deep balls than Anthony Lynn was when running Greg Roman's offense - lol How many deep balls did Peterman throw?
  2. McDermott/Dennison have spurts where they aren't conservative. Example - Joe Webb touchdown miss - But their overall philosophy tends more toward the conservative side. Examples from post 1 = last offensive possession before half - Bills called timeout so they could get the ball back before half - then just essentially ran the clock out - duh - Bills settled for field goal knowing that they probably needed to score touchdown there to win - and they waited till half way to through the 3rd quarter before trying to force the ball deep at all. An aggressive offensive minded coach probably doesn't do all 3 of those in a game against the highest scoring quarterback/team of his era. It is actually pretty laughable the more you think about it.
  3. Patriots are the better team no doubt. Bills beat them before with Brady at the helm. It wasn't by playing conservative football and settling for field goals. Bills scored 34 to beat them. Patriots were beat earlier this year. The Chiefs scored 42 to beat them. The Panthers scored 33 to beat them. Any time you play them, your entire offensive game plan should be as risky as necessary to get to at least 30 points. As soon as the Bills kicked the first field goal, it was evident that McDermott intended to use the same strategy as every other game - which is to just try to keep the game close until the 4th quarter. His strategy should have been to take more risk in an attempt to score at least 30 points during the limited number of possessions his team was going to get. Every time during the Brady era when the Bills played the Brady led Patriots and they tried to go play normal conservative football - the Bills lost. I think Chan Gailey realized that before he got fired from the Bills. I don't think any other coach here in that time frame ever realized that because you just didn't see them take the risks against the Patriots. Yeah. I don't think he is quite as bad as Jauron. He is pretty close though. At least with his approach to how to win games and strategy for doing so. I wonder if the Bills will ever have a high powered offense during McDermott's tenure here. To early to say of course. I just don't see the Bills ending up on the winning side of a 51-3 game because I sense that McDermott will start handing the ball to the fullback every play once the Bills are up by 10 points. - (tongue in cheek)
  4. You are still talking about Tyrod I see. Does he fart when he sleeps bro - or do you plug that hole for him when he is sleeping so your bed sheets aren't so stinky?
  5. Jackson: "Why you didn't push him outta bounds?" "Man he fass" "What that yellow flash just woosh by me?"
  6. Tyrod has sucked recently. We get it. Every QB on this team sucks in this offense. All of them. Might have something to do with the guy(s) designing/coaching that offense. Entire point of the thread being to discuss whether or not they are too conservative against the Patriots. But thanks for reminding us once again that you think Tyrod sucks. Nobody knew you thought that champ .
  7. It's a little known secret in hospitals. They will give you as much ice cream as you want. You just have to ask.
  8. Bring back Dick Jauron. I bet he would get along great with McDermott. Dick" I like what you are doing here Sean." Sean "I like Dick."
  9. All 11 guys on offense should be tight ends. And declare everyone eligible. Defenses would never know who is going to get the ball = genius Not as easy to delete FUBARs on this new forum.
  10. Word on the street is they are giving him as much ice cream as he can handle. Apparently he prefers vanilla over chocolate.
  11. If you weren't such a Big Dingus, it would let you click on more.
  12. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
  13. Yes I think you are right. This offense just sucks donkey balls. Doesn't matter who the QB is. Doesn't matter who the offensive line is. Doesn't matter who receivers are. Does matter who the backs are. But that just doesn't matter enough. This offense sucks. Play caller sucks. Coaching must suck because offense has regressed terribly compared to 12 months ago. Plenty of sucking to go around.
  14. You must have some kind of gay man crush for that QB. He is all you talk about. You can't hide your homo-ness.
  15. I thought the call on the missed touchdown last play was for a QB draw. And I liked it. Spread the field. Run the draw. Unfortunately it was a one on one poorly executed corner throw (typical crappy execution of Bills non-existent passing attack).
  16. Tell us how you really feel. Tackle box dude. Bengals = Superbowl
  17. Anyone else sick of Jon Gruden?
  18. Try it with TUACA
  19. Bills would be better off going and signing Brad Kaaya off of Detroit's practice squad and seeing if he can dink and dunk accurately enough to move chains. Or go after Teddy Bridgewater if they intend to keep Dennison as the OC. God help us.
  20. On defense I thought the Bills had the right approach for the most part. They dared the Patriots to run the ball - and the Patriots did so - successfully. But the sacrifice the Patriots gave up in doing so, was forgoing that high powered passing attack that could have thrown for 500 against Buffalo if they wanted to. Instead the game clock ticked and tocked as the run game melted it away. Bills had the right defensive strategy going in - at least they appeared to. Just still did not do what this offense does best which is run downhill, read options, QB draws mized in with bootlegs to buy time for deep balls down the sideline. We are still seeing Dennison try to do what failed so incredibly miserably in Tyrod's first preseason game this year in Dennison's offense. Ridiculous.
  21. Yet they did that 5 times last year - roughly one third of their games. With brainchild Rex running the show and a run, run, run some more offense. Still managed to put up 30 + Except he didn't do that until this year. Just his choice I guess? This offense is too conservative. Way too conservative.
  22. The only thing the Bills have gotten really good at on offense this year is setting up 3rd and longs. They are absolutely masterful at it. And it is amazing they have converted as many as they have. How this Bills team can start out with a first offensive drive like they did - moving the chains methodically - and then turn into a total dumpster fire after that is just amazing. Even after that first interception, for a short while, it felt like - okay - The Bills showed up to play today. And then as the rest of the first half unfolded - things started to melt away. By the second half - the same old Bills were back.
  23. Tyrod's play proves you dead wrong for the last two years prior to this one.
  24. 1) During the last Bills possession just before half time, with seconds left on the clock - why did the Bills not attempt a deep pass play - for a shot to either draw a penalty or get a completion close enough to attempt a long kick? I saw that as a free opportunity to steal some points that you knew you were desperately going to need. Bills chose to just run the clock out after they called a time out to put themselves in position to have those extra seconds. Why waste an opportunity like that against a team you know is superior? 2) Was anyone else mad that the Bills kicked the field goal at the time they did it? I was. Took Chan Gailey a while to learn that you have to be exceptionally aggressive to compete with the Brady led Pats. You need to plan on scoring 30 points every time you play them. And you have to take the chances necessary to be able to get those 30 points no matter what quarter you are in. Felt like Dick Jauron out there again yesterday. - Let's try to beat the Patriots with field goals. Just stupid. McDermott has not studied the Patriots anywhere near enough in my opinion. 3) When was the first attempt at a deep pass by Buffalo in the game - half way through 3rd quarter I think? Dennison you suck. This coaching staff is TOO conservative in my opinion, Yours?
