  1. If this game goes well, it will be a clean sweep of AFC team losses for the Bills' bye week! Let's go Broncos!

Nice fumble by Ridley for a defensive TD. 7-0 DEN.

And now Brady is strip sacked and the Broncos have the ball in the red zone. Wow.

14-0 DEN. This is an absolutely beautiful start to this game, but you know Brady can never be counted out.

  2. The Bills have 4 winnable games coming up. If they take care of business they are 8-7 going into week 17 against Pats and probably with some playoff possibilities left.

Of those 4, I think TB is the game they are most likely to lose. Though this team has shown us Jekyll and Hyde even in the last 2 games so it wouldn't shock me if they lose 2 or more of these "winnable" games. Hope the Jets win was enough for this team to pull together and go on a run. It begins and ends with EJ. Unfortunately, there is no margin for error for him to be inconsistent, whicj a rookie typically needs.

  3. I know this is not the right thread for this type of sentiment, but I would just like to see EJ continue to progress in these last 5 games to give the team some real reason for optimism next season. Making the playoffs this year was never a realistic expectation, although I do enjoy being able to maintain some hope for it

But as long as the team continues to play hard and EJ is more good than bad, I will be satisfied with this season.

That being said, the Bills are the better team in the next 3 games and certainly have the edge against MIA at home (beat them at home last year, beat them on the road this year). So it doesn't feel implausible to me at all that they could be 8-7 going into week 17 with a chance to make the playoffs with a win against the Pats and some help from other teams around the league. Now that would be fun.

  4. The Bills are currently drafting 7th. For them to overlook any team would be absolutely ridiculous. Marrone has his flaws, but one thing he seems to be very good at is getting the team ready to play, both game plan-wise and psychologically. The PIT game was the only game of the 11 they've played where it seemed like they weren't ready for it, and a lot of that I'm sure had to do with Manuel's first game back after the injury.

  5. All week I was saying I would rather the bills lose with Manuel playing well than win with Manuel playing bad. It was great to see him bounce back after last week and look like the QB we thought we remembered from before his injury. He didn't play a perfect game but he was good, competent, with flashes of excellence and no major mistakes. In other words, exactly what you would hope for from a rookie with potential.

  6. Manuel's stats through 6 games are comparable to Russell Wilson's. This is notable because I am quite certain the organization was hoping he would be a Russell Wilson type when they drafted him early. Remember, no one thought the Seahawks got a steal immediately when they drafted him in the 3rd round. So the Bills did their homework and took a calculated risk that they could get that value from EJ and wanted to make sure they got him.

So obviously Manuel will need to improve in order to keep pace with Wilson, but we can't just decide that he won't do that until he has a chance to play the games.

Sine you're no longer The Right Manuel for the Job...You're suddenly a critic of any EJ supporters? How's that broken ankle?

I picked the name because I thought it was a clever play on words and I had tremendous hope that he was going to be great. I don't like what I've seen. So what's better? Admitting I was wrong to be so high on him before he had proven himself or do what many on here do, which is to continue to base their support for him on "gut feelings"? When his play warrants my support, he will have it 100%.
