  1. Salutatorian of summer school in this division
  2. They were both motivated by money, pretty simple. The pats gave both more than any other team was willing bc like most teams without good players to pay they were desperate and have a lot to spend. Diggs has some made up beef in his head with the Bills, but Hollins doesn’t.
  3. Oh the tables have turned. I remember the days when the Bills used to overpay for the old, washed former Patriots and celebrate like it was going to matter.
  4. It hasn’t gotten better bc they are cheap and didn’t pay key defensive players, and have the smallest scouting dept in the league. They literally employ only 4 scouts! So while it’s easy to draft at the top like burrow and chase, not so easy to build affordable quality depth in the lower rounds. They blame it on the DC,which is considered front office scapegoating when he had one good player.
  5. I’m so glad to not see Matthew smiley on this list anymore.
  6. I love too but he gets hurt in literally every game. He usually comes back but it’s crazy.
  7. They weren’t a serious contender, they needed to improve. They aren’t in the same category, sadly, as those with well rounded rosters. Now dependent on rookies. Again I agree they should have paid their WR (but should have been sooner, they are stupid).
  8. Burrow is a good to great qb on a bad team with a bad owner and HC. He can take them to the SB again, I think he’s good enough. I think he’s a Brady type mentally and physically. The issue is they do not know how to build the team that is needed to win a SB. When will they do that. In his lifetime? I have no issue with the GM paying the WRs they drafted and developed and who burrow wants to stay. I do have an issue that they are bumbling around in the front office waiting so long and costing so much extra money in the process they are hamstrung on signing quality starters at other positions let alone quality depth needed to get through a season, win a division, etc. Trying to act like this was the “Eagles model” bc they also have two highly paid WR. The eagles way is also an elite OL, Defense, all world RB and dual threat QB. None of which is in place there. Godspeed.
  9. They will need to draft and pray at several positions where they need immediate starters who are difference makers. They didn’t improve at all this offseason yet. The hope is Al golden improves the defense but that will be tough without talent and depending on rookies. Otherwise, it’s the same team as last year and they can pin their hopes on a wild card bc they are clearly having to chase a much better Baltimore.
  10. People always react to the bengals paying their players like it’s a baby driving a car. If they had paid them when they the were supposed to they could have also added a decent o lineman
  11. I think the goal is to penalize the player, not the team.
  12. He won DROY but I know what you mean Yes! Very interesting tie in to Bills Mafia 😄
  13. If anyone listens to the Shout podcast with Parrino and Talbot, I can’t see Calais Campbell name anymore without pronouncing it camp - bell in my head
  14. Does anyone have a link to Beane presser about this
  15. I assume Jordan Phillips will be back for the first 6 games at least. That’s not horrible, he actually played well in the playoffs. But I’ll maintain that this happening will force their hand to do a trade or draft for a DL talent and I don’t hate that. Like Beane can’t say oh I added these two guys so DL isn’t a need. He always tries to fill holes before the draft so they can go BPA but as of now that’s not the case on the DL bc of the suspensions. Also I see it as he is going to get more swings in the draft and that’s what everyone says about the teams that can’t get it right at QB - keep swinging and drafting and signing and eventually it will happen. For Beane this is the DL.
  16. I try. This team tests me but I try.😭
  17. I believe it was reported that neither are choosing to appeal
  18. So I’ll be optimistic that this is a blessing in disguise. One, they can’t sit back and not continue to add talent to the DL now. Draft and/or trade. Two, Carter will get his opportunity at the beginning of the season and ogunjobi can help him behind the scenes as he will be allowed to practice and be in the meetings etc. This way they will be able to develop Carter and will see what we have. Three, ogunjobi is 31 and this will keep him fresh for the home stretch and playoffs. For Hoecht he seems like a super motivated guy and I think this happening could make him an approach this season with his hair on fire even more. Four, the extra cap space.
  19. And if you don’t like it, get out of town (not Polian)
